Crossroads Inn - New pledge $25 on Kickstarter! Get Apocalipsis game for free now!
Dear Regalia players!
There are still few months left to the release of Crossroads Inn... We don’t want to keep you waiting, so we decided to entertain you with some quality games! Thanks to the courtesy of our friends & colleagues from studio Punch Punk Games, we've prepared a surprise - a special gift for our backers!
Apocalipsis: Harry at the End of the World is a traditional point-and-click adventure game, in the vain of Samorost and Machinarium, where solving puzzles comes with a sense of discovery and accomplishment. This gameplay style, merged with unique artstyle inspired by 15th century engravings, creates the perfect backdrop for a story about heartbreak, redemption and, quite literally, the end of the world.

In Apocalipsis you play as Harry, for whom the loss of his beloved was the end of his world. Now he has to venture out into the strange, unwelcoming lands to get her back. On his journey he will meet fantastical creatures, straight from the minds of artists from the 15th century Europe, and ultimately conquer his own, personal demons. Featuring the narration by Nergal, leader of the band Behemoth, with the added atmospheric new rendition of Behemoth's music, it will be a journey to remember.
Apocalipsis shares with the Middle Ages its artstyle and the game’s world itself is inspired by Book of Revelation and steeped in medieval philosophy and beliefs, with the story taking cues from Dante Alighieri’s “Divine Comedy”. Every location and character in Apocalipsis was inspired by classical woodcuts by 15th and 16th century artists such as Hans Holbein, Michael Wolgemut, and Albrecht Dürer. This pairing of medieval art and philosophy with video games creates something unique, like you’ve never seen before.
We encourage you to choose this pledge - it’s a great deal and good value for money! 🍻
Last days were very important for our friends - Kraken Unleashed studio. Their game, Crossroads Inn, a wonderful fantasy tavern simulator, debuted on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter: http://kck.st/2WYth0H
Guys responsible for Crossroads Inn are our fellow devs and buddies, so we encourage you to help them, not to mention that their game looks fantastic and we think you may find it interesting.

The goal is to raise $30k dollars, which will allow them to broaden the game content, but above all reach as many future players as possible. Those additional funds will allow them to expand the game itself and add elements. They’re already halfway there with nearly 50% funded!

We keep our fingers crossed for Crossroads Inn and really looking forward for their campaign’s success. It would be great if you can spread the word on your social media channels and encourage your friends to support their fundraising.
LET’S BUILD A TAVERN TOGETHER!
Regalia is 40% OFF!
Hello Regalia fans! If your 2019 New Years resolution was to finally play Regalia now is the right time to do this! We have Steam Lunar Sale and you can now grab the game 40% off!
We are excited to announce that the second DLC pack for Regalia: Of Men and Monarchs is now available!
A lot of exciting content awaits you in Paragons and Pajamas including new playable characters, new story beats, and more.
Here's a complete list of new stuff to experience:
A new playable character - Quinn. Aligned with Armelisse and sent by the Duchess herself to oversee Kay's progress, she is a tanky warrior capable of withstanding a lot of damage, taunting enemies and manipulating shields around the battlefield.
A new playable duo of characters - Yusuf & Berius. Superficially aligned with Minwe, but their quest for knowledge rises above borders. They are our most unique combat characters yet, with mechanics centered around sleeping (!), genie summoning, and area denial.
A new pair of diplomacy factions to interact with - the Merchant Princedoms of Minwe and the Duchy of Armelisse. They come complete with new diplomacy missives and rewards.
Two new personal bonds to pursue - one for each of the new characters.
New weapons to find and craft.
New cutscenes with new voiced lines.
In addition to the DLC, we are also deploying a new major new feature which is available to everyone for free:
New RNG system - say goodbye to the frustratingly long chains of misses. The new mechanic tracks your dice rolls and adjusts them slightly if you keep rolling below average results. This should result in a much more consistent, smooth, and ultimately less tedious battles.
Finally, there's a couple of small bugfixes and balancing passes for the base game, including the final fix for Esther's bugged personal quest requirement.
Cheers!
New patch, new content, more plans
Happy new lunar year everyone!
Regalia has a new patch available that prepares the game for the arrival of some new content coming TODAY with the release of its first DLC...
THE UNENDING GRIMOIRE
.
Wooo, spooky and mysterious, right?
In this DLC a new villager comes to Ascalia, Bassanius the Mystic, and he comes with his powerful Grimoire. It will allow you to challenge yourself in randomly generated battles in return for additional visual customization options for your party members.
Make no mistake, though - the kid gloves are off here and all sorts of unexpected combinations can happen. Fighting the Dwarven Ashigaru and the Visage of Anguish at the same time? Or what if the Fomorian Ancient allied itself with the Mau?
These battles will thoroughly test your skills - and sanity.
Fighting within the Grimoire takes no in-game time (they do not advance the calendar) and can be played anytime you want, right from the point when you build the Mystic's Tower for Bassanius.
The DLC will be priced at $3.99, but you'll be able to get it on launch at -20% at launch via the Royal Edition bundle (it comes with the base game but you'll only pay for what you don't own). You can access the new content anytime from the beginning of Chapter 3, just talk to Elaine to start the Bassanius Quest.
The Unending Grimoire DLC comes with:
A whole new activity - the Grimoire
An entirelyl new feature - Visual Customization for Characters
39 character skins to unlock!
New battlegrounds for the Grimoire battles
A new villager to recruit - Bassanius the Mystic
A new building to construct - Mystic's Tower
A new Personal Bond to pursue
New cutscenes with additional voiceover
Of course this is not the end of new content en route to Ascalia - more will be coming soon!
1.07 PATCH is LIVE!
You’ve made it known and we listened - finally the new level scaling system is live! That being said, we didn’t want to break the wheel, rather make the challenge more consistent and to give you more space to enjoy your accomplishments in the game. We believe that this is the best of both worlds but you should be the judges of that - let us know what you think about those changes on the forum!
NEW LEVEL SCALING SYSTEM FOR ENEMIES:
Scaling for enemies is no longer unlimited. Various factors affect and limit the upper level the enemies can scale up to
Difficulty level now affects the scaling limit for enemies. Lower difficulty levels will impose harsher limits on the enemies scaling, while higher difficulties will let them scale up more
Story progression now affects the scaling limit for enemies. Early chapters will limit enemies' scaling more harshly. Players focusing on XP gains will now feel significantly stronger
Dungeons now affect the scaling limit of enemies. Locations marked as "Easy" will now scale slowly, which ensures that they remain easy no matter what level they are approached at
Some enemies have had their stat scaling adjusted for a more predictable difficulty curve
FIXES AND OTHER STUFF:
When equipping weapons or trinkets on a character, the game will now show a comparison tooltip of the presently equipped item in that slot for easier reference
Mouse cursor is now confined to the game's window for all your multi-monitor users (thanks to our backer Stephen "Stoibs" D for bringing this to our attention!)
Various stability improvements and bug fixes that will make your life more easier and Regalia more enjoyable
Hello everyone,
here's a sneak peek of the next update. This time we're putting the spotlight on some of the most requested improvements - better level scaling and balance.
IMPROVED LEVEL SCALING
We’ve heard you loud and clear and we decided that the level scaling system we're using for Regalia could use some tweaks to make it more consistent and fair. We're adding two new features to the scaling system that should alleviate many of your concerns:
Firstly, we're adding a scaling modifier to each of the dungeons you can visit in the game. Starting dungeons and the ones closest to Ascalia will scale more slowly than the ones further away from your starting position. This will ensure that the locations that are supposed to be easier will stay easy no matter what. No more Ban Machair enemies turning into nightmarish monsters at level 20!
Secondly, we're adding a limit to the level scaling of enemies depending on the chapter you are in. So if you are focusing exclusively on adventuring and dungeoneering early on, your guys should feel more powerful than before.
The objective of both of these changes is to make the difficulty level more consistent without making it less challenging (we don't want to dumb stuff down).
IMPROVED BALANCE
For this patch, we're also polishing some of the major offenders in terms of balance. There are odd cases of some types of monsters scaling too slowly (or too quickly!) which can lead to unpredictable difficulty spikes depending on when they are tackled. We're revisiting the stats and scaling tables for the enemy units.
The objective here is to smoothen the power level progression of monsters - again, without destroying their intended difficulty levels (in other words, Visage of Anguish will still be very scary, thank you very much).
QUALITY OF LIFE AND STABILITY FIXES
In a never-ending effort to make the game better, we're also introducing a couple of quality of life improvements. One of those - a feature requested by you, the players - will let you directly compare any selected item with the currently equipped one. We're also squashing the odd bug here and there and improving the overall stability of the game, targeting late game performance in particular.
Those changes should come soon, so please be patient - we’re hard at work here, folks!
