Regrowth

Now on mobile! New features on desktop! My city builder's alpha has launched!

Hi guys,

After being in the back of my mind for so long, finally I created a mobile version of Regrowth! :) Give it a try, I can't wait to hear your feedback! Though I can't share where due to Steam's policies. Good luck finding it! :\

With this big update I also implemented some new features, while also fixed and polished a few things here and there. Just to mention the two big features:

  • Now you can change the game's speed, letting you "skip" those boring waiting times.
  • Now you can jump back in time with just one simple click: you can undo your midgame actions as well! :)

And on another note, after lots of playtesting and polishing, I present you the first fully open alpha of HexLands, my roguelike city builder! Click here to sign up and I'll let you in as soon as possible. :)

There were a few open alphas before, but they were not really promoted, as I tried to limit its reach on purpose. But now that stage is over, and I can't wait to see you play the first big, open alpha build! My next game is a bit grandiouse, so it takes much more time than I first wanted it to take, sorry. :\ But I really enjoy this new genre, and can't wait to explore all the possibilities. :)

Still can't believe that Regrowth is also playable now on the go... Lots of my friends told me that the game fits the mobile platform much better, in fact in its first months of development it was playtested mostly on phones. :) So it's strange that it took me this long to port it to mobile. By the way, there is also a new achievement in the game, it's pretty simple: you just have to visit my next game's Steam page! :)

If you experience anything strange or unpleasant, or you just have a suggestion/idea, let me know on Discord or on the Community Forums! :)

Thanks for sticking by, and have a nice weekend! :)
Cheers!

HexLands: My Roguelike City Builder!

Hi guys!

As some of you may already know, I've been hard at work on my next game for the past 8 months or so! :)

So let me introduce you HexLands, a roguelike city builder! :)

Your goal is to expand your empire to as many harder and harder procedural islands as possible to maximize your empire’s population!
You have to efficiently use the available resources, tools and perks, adapt to the environment, complete procedural quests... otherwise you can’t establish a strong enough colony to set sail for the next one!
Set sail, and choose wisely! Which island's perk and biome fits your playstyle and strategy the best? How far will your empire reach?

In case I got you interested, check out its Steam page and well... wishlist it pleaseee! :)

Oh, and by the way... between HexLands and Regrowth, I also progressed a lot with my ARPG called Grimstone! Soon I'll continue working on it as well. :) Feel free to check out the progress on my YouTube channel's playlist! :D

Thanks for reading this far and also thank you for your continued support, it really means a lot.
Cheers,
Tibor

v1.1.1 - A little help for the achievement hunters! :)

Long time no see.

Hi guys,

I've been pretty busy since the last patch, working on my dream ARPG inspired by Diablo and then starting a small rogue-like strategy game as a side project... And some other personal stuff as well, just as usual.

But here are a few changes to improve the game a bit. I know that there are other suggestions, lots of them, trust me, and they are all pretty neat... but due to the circumstances, they have to wait.

I guess they have to wait till the next major patch. I'm hoping to make a smaller update in the future, adding some new content to the game.

So here's the short list, and needless to say, I would really appreciate if you could check out my other projects on my YouTube Channel or on our Discord Server! :)

Have a nice week! :)
Cheers!

Features

  • Reset Game button in the Settings panel to help achievement hunters! :)

Fixes

  • Lowered intro clip sound by 33%.
  • Adjusted "I Give That" achievement's goal: only 250 clicks are needed instead of the 1000.
  • Adjusted "Aegir hungers..." achievement's description to make it clearer.
  • Other smaller fixes.

How Much Money did my First Game make... with 23 Translations? :O

Hi guys,

Regrowth is now released for more than half a year, a major patch is out, and now I made a quick financial analysis!

So in case you wonder how much my little puzzle game made and want to know about what's behind the scenes, check out my video!

If you enjoyed it, don't forget to give it a like and subscribe! :)

Cheers!

v1.1.0 - Create your own levels! Play other players'!

Hi guys,

This update took more time than I expected it to because I highly underestimated how much work will this new system need. Also due to some work and personal stuff, I have less free time.

[previewyoutube="8r5XlunIKZU;full"]

But anyway, let me introduce to you Regrowth's first major update:

Now you can create your own levels and also play others'! And all of this got a nice Steam Workshop integration to make sharing and downloading levels as easy as possible! :)

(Also I can't wait to see who will unlock the 4 new achievements first! :D)

Player made levels!

Can't get enough of Regrowth but you've already played through the campaign?
Now you can play other players' levels, resulting in a possibly infinite amount of playtime! :)

Level Editor!

Bored of all the levels and you've got better ideas? You think you can implement an idea much better? Or just want to mess around with the game's mechanics?
Well, then step right up and with the level editor, you are ready to create for you, for your friends and for the community! :)

Workshop Integration!

An all of this is nicely tied together with Steam's Workshop!
You can use the Workshop to subscribe to other players' levels and then just with one button, download/update all of them in the level browser!
And you can also upload your own levels with just once click! So don't be shy and share your creativity with the community! :)
If you want to make it more personal, join our Discord Community!

And also the game is once again fully localised into 23 languages!
There were some new texts added in the first few patches which weren't localised yet, but now they are as localised as the new level editor! :)

If you experience anything strange or unpleasant, or you just have a suggestion/idea, let me know on Discord or on the Community Forums! :)

Have a nice week! :)
Cheers!

v1.0.4 - Undo-Redo, Serbian localisation, Balancing and Fixes!

Hi guys,

This update took a while because lots of stuff came up, and I had some issues with implemeting an undo-redo system which would suit both the game and the upcoming level editor as well.

Besides the undo-redo feature there is now a Serbian localisation thanks to Marko "romanizat" Josifović and Radoš "rammba" Milićev!

Also the level progressing got a bit more balanced, and fixed a couple of stuff.

Features

  • Undo-Redo before the level starts.
  • Serbian localisation.
  • "Trajectory" got easier.
  • "Enclose" got easier, its previous version is now present at the later part of the branch.
  • "Separation" got replaced with an easier new map, called "Rejuvenation". "Separation" got moved to the later, harder part of the branch.

Fixes

  • Opening the settings panel in the intro level crashed the game.
  • Settings panel's language dropdown sometimes wasn't undone on undo.
  • Localisation fixes.
  • After the game has ended, tiles are no longer interactable.
  • The "Portgate Studios" intro clip couldn't finish on some Windows 7 machines due to having 1440p high resolution. So added an 1080p version, and also a WMV version to cover more machines. If a machine doesn't support any of these versions, the intro sequence is skipped.

Sadly the new maps haven't been localised yet. Stay tuned! :)

Have a nice week! :)
