🦃 Announcing the Hometopia Thanksgiving Top Builders Competition!
This week, we’re inviting you to showcase your festive flair in our Thanksgiving-themed build challenge. Your mission: set the perfect Thanksgiving table! Design a dining room (including a stunning tablescape of course) that embodies the spirit of giving thanks–one that would make Martha Steward proud.
Submission Details:
Focus: One beautifully decorated dining room.
Theme: Thanksgiving – bonus points for incorporating the Hometopia turkey!
Objective: Create a tablescape that captures the warmth and celebration of Thanksgiving.
Show off your design skills and submit one screenshot of your dining room for a chance to win. Be sure to use the new in-game camera tool!

Haunted House Contest Winners
It’s Halloweentown here in Hometopia! The Haunted House Top Builder’s challenge was a (pumpkin) smashing success. Topians designed some seriously spooky haunted houses that did not disappoint. Let’s take a look at the winning designs and give it up for the five winners 👻 🏆 👏
How CREATIVE is our community? This winner used pillows as headstones and created a graveyard!
This is truly an estate of a build, with a spooky maze you have to find your way through first!

The lighting in this is so spooky... the haze and mist really sets the scene!

Festive pumpkins added to the Decor > Misc category
Appliances no longer get placed through the floor
New and improved placement functionality for counter set pieces, especially against walls
Adjusted stair placement functionality
Left navigation arrow menu in settings will now function correctly
Clicking the center of the settings menu will no longer close the menu

'Undo' functionality had a random chance to freeze the game when placing foundations, ceiling tiles, roofing, and walls.

BOO! It’s spoooooky season. You know what that means?
It’s time to see what a Haunted Hometopia looks like.
This Hometopia’s Top Builders challenge is guaranteed to be ghostly. It’s your time to design the spookiest, most haunted house imaginable, combining eerie atmosphere, spooky decor, and clever architectural tricks to create a true haunted masterpiece.
We want to see houses that feel like they’re straight out of a Halloween horror story.
Multiple winners will be selected based on the following criteria:
Scare Factor Creativity Attention to Detail …and of course, we need to see some clever placement of grim and ghoulish gnomes!
During this special competition, we also invite you to screen record your building process. Select participants will be featured on Hometopia’s social media channels!

As we inch closer to the end of the year, our team is excited to reveal some exciting updates in Hometopia!

Cozy Cabin Contest Winners
If you can dream it, you can build it in Hometopia. In this week’s Hometopia’s Top Builder Challenge, Topians got to work on building the perfect cozy cabins—the ideal setting to curl up by the fireplace with a hot cocoa and a good book.
Let’s take a look at the winning designs.
BIG, But Cozy One of the BIGGEST builds we've ever seen in Hometopia, yet this builder still managed to keep it cozy. Truly an impressive feat!
Pillow Fort or Log Cabin? This builder gets the award for the most creative use of materials— if you look closely, you can see that this Topian created a log cabin constructed out of INDIVIDUAL PILLOWS. Note to devs: we need logs for exteriors 😂Very meticulous work!
Garden Cottage Loved the beautiful stonework on the exterior of this cabin, and the coziest little flower beds to make this cabin complete!
English Cottage Core This cozy cabin is teleporting us STRAIGHT to the English countryside. Plus, this is the first-ever curved roof in Hometopia – such an innovative use of variable roof pitches!
A WhoDunnit Cabin This cabin is cozy, luxe, and regal all at the same time. This home tells a story, almost as if a mystery took place here, and we’re dying to know (and see) more!
