Version 1.0.5 Patch Notes

Some major bugs caught our attention. This resulted in fixes for said bugs.
Now available to you.

Changes since 1.0.4

  • Fixed game crashes while playing without (a stable) Internet connection.
  • Fixed survival mode milestone overwriting when playing on a higher difficulty.
  • Fixed ‘No more mr. nice guy’ achievement. It is now correctly unlocked upon saving the game while you have 10 epic weapons equipped.
  • Fixed the unlocking of the ‘Completionist’ achievement. To unlock this retroactively you have to complete a level on S-rank.

Version 1.0.4 Patch Notes

The wait for milestones is over. We added a milestone after each boss or mini-boss in the survival mode. The milestones are unique to each difficulty.
Besides this, in the survival mode your rank is now determined by the health lost in that level.

Changes since 1.0.3

  • Added milestones to the survival mode; Players are now able to start the survival-mode from any of their reached milestones.
  • Changed the way your health percentage is calculated in the survival mode; This allows for S-rank assignments even when you did take damage in an earlier level.

Version 1.0.3 hotfix notes

Since more and more people reached the survival mode we finally found the ‘survival mode start bug’. Of course it is possible this was just one of several, so if you still encounter this or any other bug, please report back to us through the game support forum/discussion.
Along with the bug we fixed some issues that made it hard to see everything.

Changes since 1.0.2

  • Fixed some visual bugs in the hangar.
  • Fixed a bug with the survival mode that made it impossible to start after dying in a previous round.
  • Decreased the amount of splitting on the flak cannon.
  • Increased the visibility of enemies and loot on top of the outrageous amount of projectiles originating from your ship.

Version 1.0.2 Patch notes

Quite a lot has changed since patch 1.0.1. Thank you all for your reports and feedback. We do our best to read everything, while we keep improving the game. Here is the list. Enjoy!

Changes since 1.0.1

  • Improved performance of a lot of weapons, projectiles and other game elements.
  • Optimized and balanced a lot of weapons, for more info, see the ‘Balancing’ section. In short: Generally, the max amount of projectiles on screen have been reduced. So properties like the maximum number of projectiles, splitting and fire rate have been nerfed. To compensate for these changes, damage has been buffed on these weapons.
  • When you play on the three highest difficulty levels, the level of the items you find will also increase. (based on kill-percentage)
  • The Luck-upgrade increases the chance a weapon has a higher level than the level you found it in (i.e. level 50 normally drops level 45-52 weapons, with maximized luck this is increased this to 50-57).
  • You can now change the scale of the combat text in the options menu under gameplay.
  • Added area specific loading-screens with a little more background story about the bosses.

    Balancing:
  • Drone swarmer

    • The drones no longer shoot at all targets that are in range. Instead it gets a target and will only attack this target, until it is either killed or out of reach.

    • Decreased drone max lifetime

What we're working on

First of all, thanks for playing Reign of Bullets! We've seen a lot of positive feedback on our game and that makes us both proud and happy. But ofcourse, the game isn't perfect and we've also seen that there's still things to work on. Since the next patch is coming out a little later then expected, here's a few words on our plans on improving the game.

Coming patch:

  • Performance! Especially on the survival mode and with a few very performance heavy weapons, the game can slow down to an unplayable state. It is our main focus to fix this.
  • Balancing: There are a few weapons (looking at you drone swarmer) that just deal too much damage with the right stats. Besides nerfing some overpowered weapons, most balancing boils down to less projectiles that deal more damage. This also to improve performance and visibility on the screen.
  • Bugfixing: There are still some serious bugs that we are fixing, next to a few smaller bugs.

Next patch
Next thing after performance is working on the survival mode and making it a bit more player friendly. Changes we have planned here:

  • No more restarting from level 41! We're implementing milestones each 'x' levels.
  • Balancing hp increase per level and scrap gained per level.
  • Better rewards from playing at a higher difficulty level: Besided having a higher chance on rare/epic loot, playing on a higher difficulty also increases the level of items that you find in a level. This is already adressed in v1.0.2 for the top 3 difficulty levels.

We hope you like the planned changes, please let us know what else you would like to see on the discussion board!
