A quick preview of exciting things to come for Relentless!
The rangers will work with 6 factions: the Holy Empress, the People, the Dwarves, the Arcaneum, the Thief Guild, and the Merchants. The next area we are working on is the faction of the Merchant Houses.
The Houses control most of the Empire’s trade. They reside in a mountain city. The merchants also organize expeditions into the surrounding desert seeking buried treasures and artifacts. Being far away from the Empire’s capital, it is popular among mercenaries, smugglers, and criminals as well.
The design of the merchants faction has an Indian/East Asian aesthetic. Follow us for constant updates!

A typical game cycle takes about 2-3 hours, and contains different quests depending on your choices. It should take the average player about 7~8 cycles to get to the “true” ending.

Relentless 0.4.4 Released
We’ve been hard at work fixing and adding new things. 0.4.4 is a big step up from 0.4.3 and offers a much better experience. Here are the main changes:
1. We noticed many streamers got stuck in Everantha and had to play the same stage over and over, making for a grindy experience. This might be fine in the full game, but we would like you guys to experience more of what Relentless offers in the demo. Therefore a few more opening areas have been added.
2. Some controller controls have been changed for a better experience. Block now requires Up + Hold and the activate button has been changed from UP to LB.
3. The Ranger select screen and activate command has been updated to have clearer info.
4. The story will continue to change until the official release. So don’t be surprised if the NPCs say things completely different from a previous iteration.
5. Resolved some game breaking bugs such as sprite mess ups and keys getting locked when hitting Roll + Bow at the same time.
Relentless 0.4.3 Released
A big thanks to all the streamers and playtesters for finding all our silly bugs and bad design issues! This game has become so much better because of you.
Changes in this update: 1. The difficulty curve has been rebalanced for a hopefully better experience.
2. The hit up twice quickly in door causes blackout issue has been fixed.
3. Arts have been reduced to 2 slots BUT we now key it just to LT and RT, making them much easier to use. We want to design it so players use arts 40%-50% of the time. Right now it’s still almost 80-90% reliance on the melee weapon. In a future update, we may make it so rangers can swap different sets of 2 arts. i.e. ranger has 6 arts total but can only use 2 at a time.
4. Two new areas have been added.
5. Active belt items now auto-equip on pick up if the slot is empty.
Demo 0.4.2 Known Issues
Hi supporters. We put out a small patch 0.4.2 that fixes some issues with 0.4.1. Unfortunately, there are still three major issues that we haven't resolved yet:
1. The biggest issue: sometimes an interaction might not work. For example, if you find that you cannot flip a switch even if you continue to hit UP to activate it, or if you seem to be able to get multiple copies of a key item, the game needs to reset. There's 2 solutions that will reset things, allowing interactions to work again: - Quit and Continue (The game will autosave your ranger in that room.) - Die and use a new ranger.
2. Currently, there is no warning box on "New Game". If you select New Game your previously saved progress will be DELETED and you will have to start again. Select "Continue" to continue your previous progress.
3. The ranger sprite will sometimes glitch out like Vanellope in Wreck-It-Ralph. Or the weapon sprite may not show.
We are working to fix these issues as soon as possible.
