I'm employed somewhere else full-time now so it took some time, but I finally got a good amount of achievements ready. I haven't drawn anything in years so I ended up doing a bunch of revisions on all of them until they looked presentable. I think I ended up drawing at a rate of 1 achievement per weekend. I'll be adding in 2 more once I get some free time, one for completing the game regardless of difficulty and another for beating a level 2 or 3 arena on the highest difficulty without missing.

I also found and fixed some glitches while implementing the achievements. More details below ↓

Additions & Changes



  • Added in 8 achievements.

Fixes



  • Fixed a glitched that prevented the last arena from being replayed if you clear the game.
  • Fixed the checkpoint resetting when you try replaying the last stage after clearing the game.
  • Fixed a crash caused when looking at a certain point in level 2.

Made some changes and fixes based off of suggestions and stalking gameplay videos d(゚∀゚d)

Additions & Changes



  • Lowered the difficulty of that one dark cave in level three that suddenly spikes.
  • Increased the difficulty of the last two arenas. The last battle used to fluctuate in difficulty depending on the order enemies spawned (which was pretty much random). Now it's purely skill-based.
  • Added in descriptions for quality presets when in VR. This should help with picking a good preset rather than guessing based off of the name.


Fixes



  • Made it easier to read the text in the initial cutscene.
  • Changed the wording on the Controller Facing control scheme. I also moved it to the bottom of the list because it's one of the weirder control schemes.
  • Optimized the initial cutscene. It didn't change much visually but it runs a lot smoother now.

Spent the last couple days fixing some horrible glitches.
It took a lot longer than expected (;´Д`).

Fixes



  • Fixed a glitch where doors wouldn't open after an arena is cleared.
  • Fixed projectiles freezing when shooting a bunch of Energy Scabs on Service Robot.
  • Another game breaking glitch. I forgot what it was, but it's fixed now.

  • Added in a way to check how much of the game is the completed. Just pause the game and it'll be visible at the top.

Fixes



  • Fixed the loading bar not showing up when moving from level three to the credits seqeunce.
  • Fixed the 'Skip Credits' button.
  • Possible crash fix.

Hopefully I made dashing better and not worse somehow. Seemed like dashing with Vive controllers wasn't that responsive at times so I made it so lifting your finger mid-dash doesn't suddenly stop you.

The resolution and fullscreen settings felt really hidden so I moved them to Settings>General. I'm also currently working on a fix for a crash. Hopefully I can get rid of crashes for good, they're like cockroaches : (;゙゚'ω゚'):.

Added in a few suggestions, FOV is definitely one of the more trippier settings (゚Д゚;)

Additions & Changes



  • FOV setting added, to get to it go to Settings>General>Field of View. This only works on Desktop Mode
  • Axis inversion settings added, to get to it go to Settings>General>Axis inversion
  • Vive trackpad movement tweaked so there's more range of movement when you move your thumb outwards.
  • High and Ultra settings were lowered in VR to be more reasonable but the difference shouldn't be too noticable. As long as you don't change your graphics they'll stay as they were before the update. The following are the changes if you want to reproduce an old graphics setting. The viewing distance on High was changed from 33% to 18% and light quality went from 37% to 20%. On Ultra the viewing distance went from 50% to 33%, light quality 72.5% to 50% and MSAA 5x to 3x.

Remnith is Now Out!



The release was originally planned for August 2016 but we ended up delaying things up until now to thoroughly test and change things until we found it was really ready for a full release.
