Major Update: New Roles and More
This month, we have some exciting new updates including our first gameplay updates that adds new roles to the game. Thank you for your continued support by playing the game and providing feedback. It greatly helps us in making a better game and sharing the great party game experience that we all enjoy with more players!
What's New:
- Three New Roles: Take your games to a whole new level of depth and introduce a new level of mind games and twists to your gameplay.
- Trustee: a Loyalist who sees two suspects. One of them is the Agent, the other one is the Faker, but it's not clear who's who.
- Faker: a Leaker who can use this position to trick the Trustee and earn his trust.
- Mole: the only Leaker that is not seen by the Agent.
- Coin Toss
Coin toss allows you to leave your vote up to the chances, only once per game. A new fun way to play mind games when voting. Everyone sees the coin toss, so you can use it to blow off some heat by not accepting responsibility about the outcome and feel like a true politician.
- Easy Game Restart
You can now restart the game with the same players after it's finished, so you don't have to join in again. You will be taken to the lobby where you can immediately start a new game, or change the game config or add/remove players.
- More Tutorial Slides (web app)
We added more visual slides to our tutorial in the web app (jungle.buzz) to make it easier for you learn and review the rules. We’ll continue to invest more here to make it easy for you invite new friends to your games!
- MacOS Port
Adding to the Linux support last month, you can now play Republic of Jungle on your MacOS devices too. The Desktop realm is complete! Wait for exciting news about our upcoming platforms...
- Small Bug Fixes
As usual, you report bugs, we squash them!

Republic of Jungle: Update and Pricing Announcement
We hope you've enjoyed sneaking, strategizing, and outsmarting your friends and foes alike in the dense foliage of Republic of Jungle. Our month-long free promotion has come to an end, and we want to thank everyone who joined us on this wild adventure. Your enthusiasm and feedback have been incredibly valuable, and we're excited to announce that Republic of Jungle will now be a paid product on Steam. This transition marks a new chapter for us, and with it, we're rolling out some exciting updates to enhance your gameplay experience.
What's New:
- Educational Tutorial Slides: We've launched new tutorial slides available on jungle.buzz. These slides are designed to guide you through the basics and dive into the advanced rules of the game, making it easier for both new recruits and seasoned veterans to thrive in the jungle.
- Linux Port: By popular demand, we're thrilled to announce that Republic of Jungle is now available on Linux! Dive into the game on your preferred platform. And for our MacOs users, hang tight – your version is on its way soon.
- Enhanced Localization: We've expanded our localization coverage and implemented fixes to make Republic of Jungle more accessible and enjoyable for players around the globe. Your feedback has been instrumental, and we're committed to continuing these improvements.
- Bug Fixes: We've squashed some pesky bugs that were lurking in the underbrush. These fixes aim to provide a smoother and more stable gameplay experience for all.

We're thrilled to be back with an exciting Republic of Jungle dev log. Let's dive into the latest updates we've been working on.
1. Updated UI Designs:
Our talented UI artist, Erfan, has been hard at work to make the game more accessible and user-friendly, particularly for beginners. You'll notice clearer outcomes of tasks and the all-new leader board, this shows the history of task leaders, as well as whose team got approved and whose got rejected. Allowing the player to easily keep track of people’s suspicious choices.
2. Enhanced Visual Style
To provide a richer and more immersive experience, we've added animated transitions to the flow of the game. Prepare to witness the visual upgrade and renaming of the Wiretap and Confide mechanics to "power plays." These changes showcase the depths the Loyalists will go to protect their president.
3. Improved Controller Layout
We understand the importance of quick decision-making. That's why we've been diligently working on a new controller layout. It will provide you with easy access to crucial information, ensuring you can make game-changing decisions at a glance. Please note that we're still fine-tuning the final look, so expect some minor differences in the build.
4. Introducing the RoJ Discord App
We're excited to announce the development of the RoJ Discord App. This innovative app allows you to control the game directly within your Discord community, without the need to open a browser. It's a seamless experience for both desktop and mobile players. Community leaders can add the app to their servers, enabling groups to learn and play the game together.
5. Search for RoJ Events
The RoJ Discord App features a powerful search function. You can easily find in-action or planned upcoming RoJ events across our partner servers. This function allows us to promote our partner servers and shows you where and when you can join a game of RoJ. Stay tuned for a special event announcement in the near future!
