Let’s see what a trap is according to the Nevermont dictionary.
If you saw our last video devlog you would probably know everything about traps in Requisition. The trap has a delivery device and trigger. Pretty simple, huh?
So today we are going to talk about glue traps.
Glue is a substance that helps to attach any weapon to walls, floor, ceiling, etc. Don’t forget to use the trigger that will activate the trap. You can make it very easy by using something rubbery (like a rubber boot) and an electrical board (just crash a TV with a hammer), go to the workbench and you get yourself a sticky base for the future traps.
Here’s what you can do with this big gum… sorry, glue!
Take a shotgun, flamethrower, or machine gun, and glue it down to the surface, then grab a button or tripwire from the workbench and use it as a trigger. Make sure to stick the weapon in the right direction!
Let’s make zombies regret going into your house!
A new PvP mode is out in the 4th Closed Beta Test!
The Beta 4 is also correlating with the exciting news: it has a new mode reveal!
THE DEATHMATCH MODE!
If players are tired from crashing zombies' skulls or running away from growling dead bodies, try this mode! It offers the chance to survive by killing teammates instead of monsters. As usual, players can use any items to craft weapons and traps, engage in combat or sneak on them.
We actually recommend playing a little bit of a stealth hero because the best part is that players can steal items from teammates’ backpacks. Yep, speaking about stabbing in the back…
And may the best one win!
Locations - Gas Station
Town of Autumn, August 2020
Kevin came to Autumn after college. His mother believed that her bright son would be a good assistant to the professor at the local university. She also knew that this experience would give him a position as a professor later.
Kevin was okay with that. Autumn didn’t scare him. It was a small beautiful town on the East Coast and wasn’t different from his hometown. That made him feel better.
So, Autumn seemed like a good idea.
He was greeted by the sign “Welcome to Autumn, Nevermont state”. He didn’t get to see the population of the town. The indicator on the dashboard squeaked plaintively drawing his attention. The car was low on gas and he looked nervously at the GPS on his phone to see that a nearby gas station was three miles away. Kevin sighed feeling relieved.
The gas station looked practically the same as the one in his hometown. A couple of gas pumps, a small shop with hot dogs, junk food, and probably bad coffee, and an auto repair shop.
He came inside the building with the sign “Market” on it and saw a cashier who was maybe one or two younger than him.
“Mike,” said a badge on his gray uniform.
- Hi, how can I help you?
- Hello, fill’er up, and check the tires, will you?
- Sure, no problem, that would be 52$.
Kevin nodded and got a credit card. While Mike was busy checking and calling someone named Bill who was supposed to look at the tires, he looked around. As he thought before, that was the typical gas station, the same one he saw hundreds of times driving with his dad to school and home.
He noticed his favorite chips and smiled.
Autumn did seem like a good idea.
Town of Autumn, March 2022
Autumn was a bad idea.
For the first time, mom wasn’t right.
Kevin didn’t become the professor, he didn’t even stay as the assistant. Apparently, his boss was a total douche that didn’t believe in him, unlike his mother.
Kevin lost his job, his money, and his dignity. Eventually, he replaced Mike at the gas station who married and moved to a bigger city to raise a family.
He started to hate the smell of gas. He started to hate Bill who was talking about cars all the time. He started to hate mom’s calls. She sounded too pitiful. He started to hate the taste of his favorite chips. He started to hate everybody who stopped to fill their cars with gas.
Kevin thought they had life and he didn’t.
Town of Autumn, September 2022
Autumn was the worst idea ever.
That stuff on his arm hurt like hell.
Kevin never saw someone, a person, being so aggressive, when he just asked how he could help. He briefly remembered that he saw this man in the town, but couldn’t recall his name.
He barricaded himself at the gas station. That wasn’t how he pictured his shift. Kevin looked at the wound, splashed disinfectant he found in the first aid kit, and winced from the pain. All he was hearing were loud thumps from the storage where he locked that crazy growling man. That was scarier than being interviewed at the university two years ago.
Kevin thought about Bill. What happened to him? Was he safe? He clenched his teeth, got up, and saw a wrench that Bill left near the counter this morning. The growl got louder, and the door shook under the pressure. Kevin grabbed the wrench and came closer to the door.
He won’t be the employee of the month, but at least he will try.

Locations mini-devlog
Hey Nevermonsters!
Imagine the typical American town with small houses, old monuments in beautiful parks, all covered in trees, and meeting all the requirements of the American dream.
Autumn was just like that. Located in the heart of Nevermont state with a great history and magnificent landscapes. The Early Access release of the Requisition VR will contain different locations, and we decided to run a series of mini-devlogs about locations.
First on the menu is a location that all of you already know if you watched our trailers.
The Hut.
The Hut is a huge cabin hidden in the forest filled with the death and horrors of the apocalypse. This is your first stop because you need to bring something useful back to your community as you become a scavenger in the Story Mode of the EA version.
The Hut is a two-story wooden building that could look very cozy and delightful if it wasn’t for a horde of mutants desiring to shred you to pieces. So yeah, the Hut is basically filled with stuff, but you wouldn’t be able to take it home because you would need all of it to protect yourself.
Make sure to barricade windows, so please don’t be shy and destroy all the beautiful furniture inside the house.
Run to the kitchen and grab the floor, beer, and soda cans, no, that’s not a cooking lesson for making a lovely dinner, that’s your survival kit to craft weapons, traps, and bombs.
And that’s a living room. Oh, how would it be nice to sit by the fire in the comfortable chair and drink some tea listening to the sound of the wind… oh no, that’s not the wind, that’s zombies crawling into your space.
Hurry up and defend the Hut! Don't forget to wishlist the game and stay tuned for more info!
EA release of Requisition VR is going to be in September
The quick craft mini devlog
Duct tape is a good way to create a number of bizarre weapons to fight off zombies. Did you see our new slasher trailer?
Go watch it if you haven’t because there’s a good example on how to use the tape. Grab a chair, knives and voilà! you’ve got yourself the weapon of mass destruction!
Speaking about the technical side of the process. The duct tape can be found in your right pocket. The good thing about it is that you will never run out of it.
To use the duct tape choose what items you want to combine. For example, a knife and a cue make a good spear or a shovel and knife to get a reversible weapon.
You can go further and craft more than 2, more than 3, even more items. But don’t forget that it will reduce the durability.
See what the beta tester Infrick#1717 made using a common supermarket cart.
The other beta tester engineer gaming#9844 tells about his choice of weapons:
This is my favorite quick craft item, it is so innovative using the electricity from a tv remote to cause a fire from a spray can. It’s better than the flamethrower in every way. It has infinite ammo, only takes 2 items to build, and can just melt through zombies
What will be your ultimate weapon? We'll see!
Don't forget to wishlist the game and stay tuned for more info! Good luck Nevermonsters!
The First Aid mini devlog
You’re wounded, but you’re not dead. Yet.
Your HP can severely suffer after meeting one or two hungry zombies. Вut don’t worry, we got you covered!
If you’re bitten, always remember about the magic power of medicines and food. Grab something! Eat it! You’re not you when you’re hungry!
Let’s say you’re playing with your friends in multiplayer. You were bitten by zombies because you’re their favorite snack. After three delicious bites, you will be heavily damaged and wouldn’t be able to get up and use voice chat to call for help. But don’t get all frustrated! You’re not gonna die. Probably. Your teammates could easily detect you if you use a special button on the controller. Or, if they’re attentive enough, they could check you out. If they see a zombie party around you, that’s their call - you need to be saved.
A defibrillator is a good way to save your teammate. Yeah, sounds crazy. But you don’t have to be a doctor to perform something like that.
The defibrillator could be found in locations or crafted on a workbench. But its life is definitely shorter than yours. You can use it only twice. Please don’t try this at home!
Don’t forget to wishlist REQUISITION VR! Stay tuned to learn more about the game!

Game modes POLL
Hey! Your decisions can improve the game!
Check out these game modes carefully. What modes would you like to see in the game?
We'll try to implement them ASAP. Multiple choice is OK.
Each game mode includes the following features: - Craft on the run - Craft on the workbench - Traps and barricades - Melee - Gunplay
Sandbox Players can craft weapons, construct traps and barricades. But there will be no waves of zombies until the player decides to spawn zombies by pressing a button.
Short session (survival mode) At each location, the player has only one goal - to survive 3 waves of zombies
Horde mode 2-4 players defend the house from waves of zombies using a small number of guns and items to barricade the house and craft weapons and traps. The goal is to survive as many waves as possible.
Story mode A story campaign where players complete missions in different locations. Players will see an animated comic after each mission. Players can loot items to use in the next mission. Missions help players to dig into the story of Requisition.
Hunt A "killer" and 3 "victims" are randomly selected from 4 players at the start of the session. The killer has a gun, and the victims have no weapons. Victims will have to craft weapons from items found in the house and create and set traps. The "killer" needs to kill all the players, while the "victims" need to get rid of the "killer."
Home Alone Three players storm the house while one player defends it by setting traps.
Deathmatch Every player is all alone against other players and zombies. The goal is to kill others as many times as possible. Players will respawn after death. Each session will last for 10 minutes. Players are able to craft weapons and make traps.
Real-time strategy Several players defend the house from zombies, and one of the players controls the crowds of zombies using a computer IRL telling zombies where to go and who to attack.
Capture the flag (Squad vs. Squad) Teams play 2v2. Each team has its own house. The players need to set traps in their house and break into the other team's house to steal items.
