[Hart Residence] Recreated the opening scene where Lux approaches the Hart residence. Apart from looking better, it's now much more performant.
Bug fixes
Fixed a bug where the game was sometimes not quitting from the Home screen.
Fixed a bug which could break the Home screen after accessing it via the main menu.
Fixed a bug where only the first 13 dance moves could be selected.
When the Dance command is selected, Lux now dances using the dance style equipped in the Lux menu. If you select Dance again while she's already dancing, she switches to a different style that she chooses randomly. Before this fix, the style selected in the Lux menu was ignored.
Fixed a bug where an Incinerate effect wasn't being destroyed after Lux had cast it.
[Mogwai] Adjusted volumes and triggers for audio attached to the lake and the disco. The lake in particular was way too loud.
[Mogwai] The wrong footstep sounds were being played when Lux was crossing each bridge.
Build 20190308 is live (now with tattoos!)
New features
Lux can now equip a tattoo: 94 tattoos have been added to the game. They're unlocked the same way as clothes and hair: through loot that enemies have dropped, and by smashing crates. Tattoos can be selected from the Lux menu.
Added 38 new clothing items for Lux (see the pic below for a preview).
Improvements
Metallic objects are now rendered much more realistically.
Increased the probability of Lux unlocking clothing, hair and tattoos when smashing crates and picking up loot from dead enemies.
More XP is now awarded when playing at higher difficulty levels.
Updated the credits.
Weapons are no longer reported in the Locations and Chapter Select windows, as they're unlocked anyway as the story progresses.
Bug fixes
Fixed a bug where the status of artifacts and propaganda was not being correctly reported in the Locations and Chapter Select windows.
[Oridian Cave System] Fixed a bug where it was possible to farm XP by repeatedly running over the spot where the RPG is unlocked.
Build 20190227 is live
New features and improvements
The German translation of all dialogue (partially implemented in the last build) is now completed, thanks to ferdie a.k.a. black ufu sheep. This is a big improvement - the dialogue will now make a lot more sense to German speakers!
[Saint Sophia] Greatly improved performance in the chupacabras' lair.
[Saint Sophia] Added waypoints to the lair. It's much easier to navigate now.
Shaders used to render Lux's hair are now more performant.
Fixed
The Iggy hair styles sometimes didn't render correctly under certain conditions, so they've been removed from the game and replaced with the new Piratess hair style (pictured above). If you've already unlocked an Iggy style, the associated Piratess style will be automatically unlocked.
Fixed a bug where upgrading a weapon could sometimes cause an index out of range error.
Under certain lighting conditions, Lux's eyes looked like they were bulging (e.g. Saint Sophia) or glowing (e.g. Harts' safe house). Fixed this by reducing the specularity of the surface of her eyes (i.e. the reflected light from bright objects).
Fixed a texture on Lux's jeans which was not being rendered when she was standing near a wall and the camera was rotated to a particular position.
[Dogan Outpost] Fixed an issue rendering some objects with the diffuse shader when using GPU instancing.
[Saint Sophia] Fixed a bug where Lux couldn't fire DNA mods after finding the fire rod.
Build 20190222 is live
Build 20190210 had to be rolled back as it introduced a new bug that broke the game. Today's build (20190222) fixes this bug and reloads the fixes from 20190210. There are also a few new fixes and features in this build.
As usual, please report any issues using the Send Diagnostics menu item. If you prefer, you can just post on the Steam forums or email me directly at support@basedontheplay.com.
New features and improvements
Massively improved the German translation from the start of the game up until midway through New Shinjuku. A huge “Danke schon” to black ufu sheep for providing the translation. More translation improvements coming soon.
Improved the lighting in Saint Sophia.
When using a gamepad, the Roll command has been replaced by Jump.
Fixed
Fixed a game-breaking bug where sometimes the game would not move forward after killing the last enemy in Dandy Valley.
If Lux picked up grenades from loot boxes or dead enemies, they were appearing on the HUD grenade count, but she couldn't use them. This now works correctly.
Changed the default camera distance from 2m to 1.6m. This prevents some unwanted camera artefacts from occurring, and makes Lux a little more “in your face”. If she’s too close now, just adjust the Field of View in Options > Graphics.
Fixed a bug where sometimes the Puppy top would not be unlocked.
The Hunter Queen outfit had to be removed from the game, as it was tearing when Lux was sprinting, and unfortunately this couldn’t be fixed without a lot of work on the mesh. It’s been replaced by a new outfit: Casual Denim Black (which will be unlocked if you’ve already unlocked Hunter Queen).
[New Shinjuku] All translated text was missing from the dialogues with Cailee.
[Dogan Outpost] Fixed a bug where Lux would end up standing on an angle after destroying the weapon parts crate upstairs in one of the buildings in this level.
[Saint Sophia] Fixed a bug where Lux would end up standing on an angle after destroying the first laptop in the level.
[Oridian Cave System] Fixed a bug where Lux would end up standing on an angle after destroying a statue in the level.
[Dandy Valley] The monkey doll with the cymbals was not animating after Lux had met Croft.
Performance improvements
Optimised the performance of the Cremate particle effect across all scenes.

Build 20190201 is live: hot fix + new content
Apologies for another update just 24 hours after the last one! It was unavoidable as this build includes a critical fix: it patches an issue introduced in yesterday’s build, which can cause some of Lux’s clothing to be rendered incorrectly, or not at all. I really don’t want the game to be banned. :)
To sweeten things a little though, I’ve unlocked a bunch of new items earlier than I’d intended. More details below.
New features and improvements
Added 55 new collectibles across the game: 26 new clothing items and 29 new hair styles. These are unlocked the usual way: through looting dead enemies, and by smashing Outfits crates.
Fixed
Fixed a bug introduced in build 20190131 which can cause some of Lux’s clothing to be rendered incorrectly, or not at all.
Performance improvements
[Elysian Rendition] Slightly improved performance in the final battle by waiting until Brannan and the allies disappear before spawning the last robot.

Build 20190131 is now live
Fixed
[Dandy Valley] Fixed a game-breaking bug where the final enemy (usually a hatchet man) sometimes couldn’t be killed in the final battle in Dandy Valley.
[Elysian Rendition] Reduced the amount of work being offloaded to the GPU in this level, which could crash the game if too many enemies were on screen at the same time.
[Elysian Rendition] Fixed navmesh errors generated when the NPCs were spawned on loading the scene.
Performance improvements
[Elysian Rendition] Reduced the complexity of the terrain by removing mushrooms, clover, small rocks and some flowers. This increased the performance by a few frames per second, and to be honest, the scenery looks just as good.
[Elysian Rendition] Simplified the lighting in this scene and rebaked the light maps. This increased the performance slightly.
