We will continue working based on your feedback and tips in order to improve the game at all levels. One of those things claimed by the community is the possibility of advancing in some situations with just one Dog after killing all the enemies. In this way, we can solve the need of having to use three characters in attacks were the first one can manage the problem by itself, but only if the other Dogs had survived.
For now, here you have the fixes we've been working on lately:
You just need one Dog to activate some triggers.
First Tip Challenge integration.
Added Leaderboards and Restart Mission on Results Screen.
AZERTY keyboard option.
Improved pointing from afar.
Improved pointing with pad (included in tutorial and options).
Technical improvements.
Minor bugs fixes.
Thanks for your support!
How to get an S grade and maintain your combo meter
The Tip Challenge is coming and the best players will be able to win Steam Gift Cards if their performance rises to the challenge.
We know that your scores are being awesome but, there are some (who call themselves hardcore gamers) who need an extra help. We want to lend them a hand, so here is the list of score and combo events needed to achieve a nice score after completing the heist:
Enemy Kill! Every time you put down an enemy, this event will be triggered.
Careless Kill! If you manage to kill an enemy in close combat, using melee or getting really close to him.
Team Kill! It will be triggered if you hit the same enemy with different team members. Try to use the Rewind to cook this combo event.
Support! This event will trigger after using the Rewind and saving a team member from damage. Use Rewind and kill quickly an enemy that would hurt one of your Dogs!
Money! Every item you rob will grant you money, from civilians to lockers or drawers. Try to rob with one team member while the others deal with the situation and keep the combo meter going!

And last, but as important as the other events, the negative ones:
Civilians Killed If a civilian gets killed while you play, they will immediately cancel your current combo count (unless you kill them with Mr. Orange!)
In the results screen, a penalty over your base score will be applied.
Support Dog Dead This event will be triggered if the third Dog, the support team member, dies along the mission. It will immediately cancel your current combo count
In the results screen, a penalty over your base score will be applied.
Retries In the results screen, a penalty over your base score will be applied if you have to retry any checkpoint of the current heist.
Health Lost In the results screen, the health you lose with every team member applies a penalty over your base score.

RESERVOIR DOGS: BLOODY DAYS OUT NOW
Independent video game publisher Big Star Games, in partnership with Lionsgate, today launched the action-strategy shooter Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days. Combining the enthralling tension of the cult-classic film with an innovative “Time Rewind” gameplay mechanic, the title is now available for $14.99 on Windows PC and Mac via Steam. It is expected to arrive on video game consoles later this year.
In Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days, players will discover a new level of action-shooter strategy by rewinding time to guide each Reservoir Dog through high-level tactical gameplay. Turning time back affords players a chance to realign strategies, save downed allies or conduct complex maneuvers to blast a bloody path through enemies and complete each heist. With no health packs and limited ammo, players will need to carefully execute their plans and steal as much as possible to make it through the game’s 18 levels.
“With Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days, we wanted to pay respects to one of our favorite films of all time while offering something innovative with the license,” said Liam Patton, CEO, Big Star Games. “We created the ‘Time Rewind’ Mechanic to let players toy with time just as Quentin Tarantino did, adding a new layer of strategy to top-down shooter games that will appeal to hardcore gamers and film fans alike.”
"We’re thrilled to give fans exciting new ways to interact with one of Lionsgate’s most iconic properties, Reservoir Dogs" said Lionsgate President of Interactive Ventures and Games Peter Levin. "From day one, we've loved Big Star's unorthodox vision for Bloody Days, and the game
is shaping up to become something special."
Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days users can control a cast of iconic characters, such as Mr. Blonde and Mr. White, while utilizing unique sets of passive abilities to succeed in the game’s multitude of heists. Players must navigate the game’s fast-paced action and hard-hitting twists by balancing aggressive shooting and taking cover while stealing as much cash as possible to unlock new weapons and levels.
Action-shooter fans playing Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days will experience:
● Unique Time-bending Action with the “Time Rewind” System: Use overlapping bursts of time to adapt and execute new tactics on the fly through each stage.
● Six Infamous Movie Characters: Control Mr. Blonde, Mr. Blue, Mr. Brown, Mr. Orange, Mr. Pink, and Mr. White in a series of heists while using each characters’ unique abilities.
● Heists and Surprises: Complete a variety of high-octane heists that take place in diverse environments containing unsuspecting twists and turns.

How does the Time-Rewind System work?
You see a top-down shooter with several characters eliminating hordes of enemies at a time. ¿What’s the first thing that comes to mind? This is a co-op multiplayer. But Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days will change the way you think about these kind of games forever.
Yes, there are up to three characters at a time on screen, but you’re the only person moving them. You’ll control characters for overlapping bursts of time, creating strategies and taking advantage of this single-player co-op mechanic in tension-filled heists.
But… how does the Time-Rewind System work?
The leader marks the time
The time you play with your first Dog before hitting rewind will mark the time you could move your second and/or third Dog. Use this advantage to create shorter or longer strategies where you steal, kill or escape.
Life and ammo
If one of the main Dogs of the mission dies and you can’t save him with the ones who left in that period of time, you’ll have to restart that checkpoint. Watch out for the life and ammo of your Dogs and use the time-rewind mechanic to save your teammates and survive robberies and shootouts.
Nothing is written in stone
The things you do in different lines of time will affect the others. If you pick a gun previously taken by other Dog, the first one who picked up won’t be able to do that and could be compromised by your actions.
The same thing will happen if you clean a bunch of enemies with your first Dog and then alert that same group with another character. Cops aren’t stupid and will stop, change their ways or shoot another Dog if they visualize or hear something. No one said playing with timelines was easy.
Money is the key to happiness
Money is the key to unlocking new heists and also buying new weapons for your Dogs, so don't forget to steal the wallets and rob the drawers and cabinets
Are you gonna bark all day, little doggy, or are you gonna bite?
We've received lots of questions regarding Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days and we'd like to resolve most of them.
That said, we don't want to be the only voice you hear about the story, gameplay or general impressions, after all we want you to enjoy the game when we launch it on May 18, so we thought you may prefer someone else to clear out what's behind this title, some one that has already played it, played our Alpha.
What if we told you that the answers to all your questions are on the previews made by dozens of professional video gamers that have already played it? Also tons of consumers experienced it on PAX EAST Boston last month, and their impressions were so positive that kept us even more motivated to work harder and launch the earliest, so everyone would be able to play this new mechanic.
Who best can tell you their gameplay experience, style and story of our game than themselves?
Below you will find some questions about Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days we've collected in social networks, news and other media coverage and after every single one of them you'll find the response extracted from the aforementioned previews. This is a game you need to try to realize what's ment for.
Every day working hard as an indie studio to give you a game that 'll give you a sort of combat and joy (for really skilled gamers!) you haven't experienced before.
What is this? I'm confused fjsenpai (Youtube)
“It’s a game about one big idea – how does a single player control three characters in a tactical situation but with pinpoint shooter accuracy. The solution is smart and, against all odds, Bloody Days has a perfectly executed plan in mind".
Wow a movie game! How could this go wrong?!! BettyBlues (IGN)
“Certainly you could say that the film's style and earnest character work was nowhere to be found in the 2006 game, an attempt to cash in on a brainless, shockingly violent video game. That wasn't Mr. Blonde dancing to the sounds of his victim's shrieks. It's just violence because that's what the kids want these days.
Leave it to an indie team to figure out how to do something interesting with a failed concept, and actually Big Star Games finds itself in a pretty unique position - a relatively unknown indie developer working on a licensed game. But maybe that's just the ticket. My time with the team at this year's GDC revealed huge fans of Tarantino's movie and the passion and fervor with which they've designed this love letter to the crime thriller. Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days is quite good".
“There are 18 missions and all six dogs make an appearance. Some missions will require players to use two dogs while others will allow the use of three of our “heroes”. Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days features a top down perspective found in games such as Gauntlet Legends, Hotline Miami, and Hunter: The Reckoning. Gameplay is fast, responsive, and rewarding. There’s a unique gameplay mechanic that sets this game apart from others in the genre".
Wouldn't this have been better as a 3rd person shooter? Mecks089 (Youtube)
“What sets Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days apart is a really clever mechanic that Big Star Games calls “Time Back.” Each level represents a heist where you’ll control two to three different characters from the Reservoir Dogs crew. Time Back is what will allow one player to control each of those characters in a real-time game. (...) It’s a little difficult to describe in concept. It’s similar to the time-bending system used in 2014’s Super Time Force, but as a top-down view game rather than a sidescrolling platformer Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days feels more strategic in its approach".
Why can they time travel? SteeScribbles (Youtube)
This isn’t a “cash grab,” it’s a labor of love, and I believe that — even if the graphics are simpler at the moment than people might expect — this has the potential to do justice to Tarantino’s classic film while also carving out its own niche as a sort of RTS/top-down shooter blend. The central gimmick behind that genre-bending second bit is a special “time travel” move that sees you rewinding as you switch between characters (and yes, they’re all here, from Mr. Blonde to Mr. Pink).
Again, you might think a time travel mechanic would be a weird fit for a Reservoir Dogs game, but it feels like a tribute to the time-bending nature of Tarantino’s early films — Pulp Fiction‘s individual vignettes, of course, are famous for taking place completely out of chronological order. In the same way, the rewinding mechanic I was shown right from the start of Bloody Days got me excited for the possibilities; this is one of those things that can turn a very simple surface idea into something a lot more interesting, deep and complicated.".
Correct me if I'm wrong but all these guys aren't related to the film's characters, right? They're all just a new cast of criminals named after colors to avoid sharing their true identities amongst one another? Master_Chief_S117 (IGN)
“The connection to Reservoir Dogs may be tenuous, but from my half-hour of playing it, Bloody Days' design rises above the cash-in that it resembles".
Wasn't it a jewelry store they robbed, not a bank? HoopsCap20 (TrueAchievements)
“Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days is a licensed product but one of the core aspects of its design is to be a great game before anything else. The game is obviously based on the movie with the plot centered around a diamond heist and the characters, dialogue and violence will be wonderfully familiar to fans of the film, but the gameplay is straight-up action and not a story-driven extension of the film, though the blood splattering hail of bullets does adequately capture Tarantino’s penchant for violence. It does require a high level of eye-hand coordination and quick reflexes, making its target audience the hardcore gamer, which is probably why we were given access to cover it".
So looks like the character designs aren't based on the original actors? zeldafanjtl (TrueAchievements)
“So while it might seem strange on the surface, we're actually glad Reservoir Dogs: Bloody Days won't focus on the story of these iconic outlaws. Because it means Big Star is focusing on the amazing combat and strategy the game has to offer".
“In his coverage of the game, our own Javy Gwaltney called Bloody Days "a promising foundation for what could be a quality tie-in," and this stylish cinematic trailer reinforces that notion. Sure, none of the characters remotely resemble their movie counterparts, but if the gameplay proves to be solid enough to hold up after hours of play, then Bloody Days could prove to be the unexpected breakout hit of the summer".
