Resistance 204X Takes the Stage: Festivals, Highlights, and Awards in 2024
2024 has been an exciting year for Resistance 204X, with both online and offline festival appearances! Here’s a recap of our journey so far:
Remote Play Together Fest
In February, we were thrilled to be selected by Steam for their Remote Play Together Fest. During this online festival, we streamed player reactions as they dove into the world of Resistance 204X and had a blast!
GGBavaria
Also in February, we were honored to be featured at GGBavaria Fest 2024 in Munich, a hub for gaming enthusiasts, e-sports fans, indie game lovers, anime aficionados, and nerd culture in general. The energy was incredible, with cosplayers and attendees glued to our game. The feedback was so valuable that we immediately started making enhancements for our next showcase.
CAGGTUS Indie Showcase
In April, Resistance 204X was selected by FusionPlay for the CAGGTUS Indie Showcase in Leipzig, Germany. This was our opportunity to test the new enhancements we had been working on after GGBavaria, and it paid off! The response was fantastic, leading to our nomination for the Find Your Next Game Indie Award.
We also pitched the game to a panel of experts and received incredible feedback, further refining our vision.
Guadalindie Festival
In May, we took Resistance 204X to the Guadalindie Festival in Málaga, Spain. It was an unforgettable experience where we pitched the game to publishers and showcased it to a highly enthusiastic audience.
Later in May, we were selected to host a live tournament at Beat Em Hub’s Indie Special in Berlin, Germany. The Resistance 204X exclusive tournament was a highlight of the event, filled with intense, exciting matches that left participants and spectators alike buzzing with excitement.
Games Baked In Germany Steam Fest
In June, Resistance 204X was selected by the Verband der deutschen Games-Branche for the Games Baked In Germany Steam Fest, showcasing the best of German game development.
Steam’s Fighting Games Fest
And in July, we were once again featured by Steam, this time in their Fighting Games Fest, bringing even more players into the Resistance 204X community.

Indie Fighting Games Fest is coming and Resistance 204X will be there
The Indie Fighting Games Fest is a five-day online celebration of fighting games created by independent developers and small teams.
Many of these games will run discounts or demos. The event will happen the weekend of April 13-17.
Free Open Beta is now available!
Resistance 204X open beta is finally available and is packed with exciting features and updates!
New character: Slice
First up, we've got a new big and strong playable character called "Slice". He's a force to be reckoned with, and you'll definitely want to try him out in battle.
New terrains
We've also added new terrains to the game, giving you even more options for your battles.
Twitch chat integration
But wait, there's more! With our Twitch chat integration, Twitch viewers can mess with the streamer's game. Imagine the chaos that could ensue as the chat throws obstacles in the streamer's way or gives the opponent a sudden power boost.
Custom player names
Finally, we're thrilled to announce that you can now add custom player names. This means you can truly make the game your own and show off your skills with your personalized username.

The beta is just about to be done! Making juicy nice and responsive menus it's a big task. A lot of details needed to be covered but it's finally done and working nicely.
New implementations:
A short cinematic introduction showing the lore of the game
Home Menu including settings, profile, PvP, stage selection, etc...
Joystick automatic detection and menu support
Music and sound effects for all the above
