Steam-Key for BundleBandits & Update News
Hi Gamers ;-)
All buyers from BundleBandits kann now recieve their Steam-Key via Desura. Just registrate your Desura Key and you're able to unlock a Steam-Key. I'm very sorry for these problems and hope you can now aktivate your Steam-Key.
Beside that I'm working on a new update that fixes thise problems:
fixed holes in some Terrains
fixed several collision Bugs
fixed some critical script bugs in the story mode
new content for the freeroam mode

Performance Update v20931 is live!
The first big update for Revenge is live! I worked very hard the last days and so I was able (depending on the settings) to reduze the required RAM by 1-2GB and the VRAM by 150-400MB.
I also changed the way the maps are loaded. Right now it's not that pretty. The important part is that it works better than the old way. Until now only some core maps are loaded. After that the screen will stay black for a short time until all other maps are streamed in. To give you the ability so see what's happening in the background I enabled the text based output on what is loaded.
Please remember that mobile GPUs, Intel HD GPUs or any GPUs with shared memory can cause problems. They are not supported!

Solutions for crashes & upcoming performance update
Hey gamers ;-)
you might have heard about some problems playing the game or you even had this problem for your self. I'm very sorry for that and I think it's time for a short explanation.
The most common reason why Revenge is crashing is the lack of RAM and/or VRAM. It's caused by the fact that a lot textures (including diffuse-, specular-, normal- and heightmap) are available in a resolution of 1024x1024.
How to fix the crashes:
Lower the Texture & shadow quality, 'Ultra High' settings are for graphic cards with 2GB VRAM or more. The most useful fix is to turn on the 64Bit mode (only if you are running on 64bit Windows version).
To turn on the 64Bit mode just open the launcher, click on Settings and right under FPS-Limit you need to check Force 64Bit. Enabling it solved the problems for the most people.
Performance update:
Besides that I started working on a new update to improve the performance. And I made a great progress.
Based on my system with a Intel Xeon E3.1231v3, Sapphire Radeon R290x Tri-X 4GB and 16 GB RAM on a 4k resolution with each settings on maximum (with constant 90FPS) in a worst case scenario RAM utilization: Current version: 7,16GB
New Version: 5,43GB
VRAM utilization: Current version: 1315MB
New Version: 1130MB
As you can sea, if done a lot work and it should pay off. I'll need some days to improve all maps, expect the update at the end of the next week.

When is the release on Steam?
7th May 2015
Will it be released on Steam and Desura/IndieGameStand at the same time?
No! The reason is very simple. Updating/uploading on Steam is very easy and I expect a lot of feedback with the launch. On Desura/IndieGameStand I always need to upload full versions this would result into 3-5 new full versions within 2 weeks. I'll collect more updates to a bigger update for Desura and IndieGameStand.
Expect the Desura and IndieGameStand version in ~2 weeks.
What is the difference between the Steam Version and all the other versions?
The versions are the same. Only if you run the game with a Steam account you'll have Steamworks features like Cloud Savegames, Achievements and Trading Cards.
What about DRM?
There is no DRM. Also the Steam Version is DRM free and is able to run without Steam!
What about DLCs?
There will be no DLCs in the 'classic' way. It's really classic – you will receive new content for free with updates!
Can we expect new content each week, each month?
No! I have a lot of ideas for new content. There will be some new content while upgrading from Early Access to the final version. After that there will only be new content when it's done.
Pressure only reduces the quality!
I bought the game in a bundle, will I get a Steam key and if so when?
Yes you will reciev your Steam key! I want to release it step by step. First launch it on Steam an check if everything is really working great. If so a week later I'll start sending Steam keys to the Shops.

Important Informations:
The game uses a lot of high resolution textures and this results in the uncommon high requirements for RAM and VRAM. For Ultra High settings I would even recommend 8 GB RAM and a GPU with 3GB VRAM. Be sure your graphic card has 1GB dedicated VRAM
