Update 10

In this update, we were focusing on the car handling and fixed several known issues.
We changed the differential simulation to a better one, which provides better turning and driving performance on road surfaces. Several other components such as steering and suspension are also re-balanced. We introduced locked differentials, which is more suitable for drag or hard offroad racing. Tire grip also changed to provide more realistic feeling and better performance for each category. Using the proper tires on the right surface is even more important now. We performed several optimisation for our race tracks to gain some extra FPS on lower-end machines.

  • Differential tweaked for better driving performance on road. Using too much power on low grip surface such as dirt could cause the car to turn at acceleration. To avoid such a problem, use locked differential or less ratio
  • Added locked differentials for drag and offroad racing. Locked differentials helps the car to straighten at acceleration, but could make the car harder to turn if the grip is too much
  • Some of the suspensions and steering is re-balanced
  • Tire grip re-balanced to avoid too much grip on wider tires or too low pressures, tires are now more effective and realistic on proper surface
  • New categories in newspaper to separate items and for easier search. Added mounted rim+tire as wheels in the newspaper.

UPDATE 9



In this update we added a completely new area to the game, called Yanagin county. Yanagin county contains new free roam, new street race locations, gas stations, and two tracks. Yanagin forest is now part of this area and we added a new track: Mount yanagin. This is the longest and most difficult track in the game. To reach these places, you have to use the new map.

We made a new progress ui in the garage to be able to follow your progress in the game. Now you can see the required points/races for the next skill level and the beaten revheads.
The new unlock map on racelobby screens inform you how to unlock the different race modes or racetracks.

From now you can upgrade your parking place depending on your skill level.

Coming soon: New map, new track, new locations

A new map is coming soon offering more race possibilities. Yanagin area contains two circuits, the Yanagin Forrest and a new one Mount Yanagin with a bit more elevation.
This time, we added not only one track, but a new map to explore.

Update 8



This time we made more change in one bigger run. We found several bugs thanks to our players and we also tweaked many numbers in our physics engine. As a result the car handling is improved. New tire setup, steering setups and a bit of tweak with here and there, we hope all of you will enjoy the rides and races with these new setups.

We were also busy with many other changes and we added a new car: Panania. This is an imported Japanese car from the 90's which bring some L4 and V6 into the game. Wing is also a new item you can use on this car, and which will be available for other cars as well later.

Since this update has several major changes in physics and car component base setups, some of your existing car might will act differently. If you find something which you could not fix or annoying, let us known here!

Update 7

In this update we were focused on newspaper next to few fixes. In this version, player has control over when he/she want to refresh the newspaper with the ability to buy one. If a newspaper is too old some of the items became expired (sold out) in time. So player can buy anytime (with a bit of time delay), can mark favourite parts to buy it later, but need to deal with sold out items as the newspaper getting old.
The new car is under testing atm and will be released very soon along with many new parts. We are also started to build up a new track next to Yanagin, a track with more elevation and with more corners. Next update will focus on the new car, keyboard controls and more visibility for the newspaper to show more info about items before buy.

  • changed the way newspaper get refreshed: now you can buy a new one and items will expired after some time, so player has more control over the content of newspaper
  • introduced Favourite in newspaper, so you can find items easier in an older newspaper as well. Also add more visual feedbacks on items being sold or expired.

Update 6 LINUX

This update was focusing on Linux and some newspaper upgrades! We made our game runs on Linux and it was time to release it! We officially support Ubuntu 64 bit system, but we will try our best to help out everyone who run into problems with installing or running the game on other distributions as well.

We also moved a bit forward with our Newspaper and re-organized it a bit. Next week more changes will follow with more newspaper upgrades!

We are also busy with our new car and with some localization, which will come soon in a later updates.

Update 5

This time our main focus was on the AI. We improved a lot on how the NPC characters behave and drive. We also balanced which NPC can drive on which track. In our game NPC has 3 levels of skill: Amateur, Pro and Revheads. In this update we set which type of NPC can drive on which track to make sure each track give better challenge and also you will get more challenging opponents in Challenge mode or in harder tracks. Starting is easier, but pro tracks are more difficult and need better cars to keep up with NPC. Backyard is for testing and beginners, so you don't have to use the best car, but you have to watch for the amateurs around you. On the other hand, if you go to Gutta Raceway Park, you will only see Pro and Revheads, with a lot faster cars and smoother driving skills from them. Hope you will like the way we balanced the opponents and tracks.

  • fixed some job's hint where the text was cut too early and did not fit in the speech bubble
  • fixed steering after end of race, when ai take over the player car
  • fixed regenerate of textures after restart of race, which caused big latency and count down stuck at 3 for some time
  • fixed a suspension bug which could cause the wheel leave the body when the car rolled over
  • fixed a tire pressure bug, which caused the tires deflate too quickly when it was used
  • fixed tire usage, less grip on used tires
  • fixed some message which appeared at wrong time, like "Missed checkpoint" before start of a race
