These are just some of the features that make RIDE the game that every motorcycle enthusiast, and every gamer who loves bikes, has always dreamed of getting their hands on. RIDE players can customise:
STYLES Choose the gender of your Rider, from male and female avatars, choose their haircut, and their style: from full racing gear for the experts, to jeans and a t-shirt for a more casual chic look.
RIDER Choose your favourite clothing from a wide selection of items, including: Helmets, Visors, Suits, Boots, Gloves, Jeans, and Jackets, all officially licensed gear. Impress other riders with your style, and blow your friends away by recreating your real motorcycle gear in-game and then beating them to the finish line.
BIKES The bike is the focal point of RIDE, and the bike Upgrade Packs are an essential part of the experience: use them to stay ahead of the pack. Upgrade the engine, transmission, brake system, suspension system, wheels, and look of your bike. The changes you make don't just alter the bike's appearance, they influence the bike's performance on the track, and in some cases - such as the exhaust system - the sound of your bike as you roar around the track. In order to maintain the high level of realism, the changes and customisable features available reflect each individual manufacturer's official options.
All the game items used for Rider and Bike customisation are accessible right from the start of the game. They can be acquired through a simple system of earning Credits. This virtual currency can be earned in any game mode, both online and offline.
The customisation possibilities are endless. For the hardcore motorcycle fans out there, the Milestone Team have developed a range of options to change your Rider's position on the Bike, accessible from the Riding Style menu. Recreate your own real riding style down to the last detail through a series of indicators - lateral and frontal head angle, shoulder position, seat position, inside knee position and so on - and then capture those magic moments with the Photo Mode, to share images of your avatar in action with your friends, and your rivals.
MILAN: The city of Milan gives its streets over to the pure adrenalin of competitive motorcycling, on a series of tracks that allow riders to race past the city's historic palazzos and monuments. Landmarks include: the Corso Como Arch, situated at the centre of Milan's thriving social life; the Milano Centrale Station, the historic building that houses Italy's second largest and second busiest railway station, featuring over 11,000 square metres of polished marble; the Unicredit Palazzo; the Pirelli Tower; and the modernist Palazzo Lombardia. The Milan city track has three variants: two 3 km circuits, and one 4 km circuit, offering players the unprecedented opportunity of experiencing the thriving Mediterranean city from the seat of their own motorcycle. All the environments and circuits have been faithfully recreated by the Milestone team, who took to the streets of the city in person and studied them in minute detail to create a realistic and compelling environment for players all over the world.
Lightning LS-218: A new, extreme, electrically-powered bike from the USA: 228 Nm of torque, weighing in at 225 kg, Brembo brakes, and a top speed of over 185 mph. The LS-218 is the ‘production’ version of the first electric bike to break through the 200 mph threshold, a feat achieved on the legendary Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, where the 218 earned its name from the top speed of 218 mph reached by the prototype bike on that occasion. The model already boasts an impressive reputation on the track, participating in the TTCPX series, the Le Mans 24 Hours, and the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The Lightning LS-218 is powered by a liquid-cooled permanent magnet electric engine, delivering 200 hp and 168 Nm of torque. The LS-218 uses high-grade components, with Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes and forged magnesium Marchesini wheel rims.
SPORTSLAND SUGO: is located in a beautiful rural setting, with more than 2.1 million square meters. It offers four specialized racing courses – a road racing course, a motocross course, West course and a trials course. It is owned by Yamaha and the track follows the natural contours of the hill it is built on, with all the variations in height that entails. It’s very popular with circuit fans as the “Holy Site” for Motor Sports in Tohoku.
