RIFT Patch - 7:30AM PDT (2:30PM UTC) - October 30
Hello everyone,

NA and EU Rift shards will be offline for maintenance on October 30, 2019 at 7:30 AM PDT (2:30PM UTC). The downtime is estimated to be about 2 hours.

We will notify you in this thread once the servers are back online.

Glyph Server + Patch Maintenance - September 5, 2019
Starting on September 5 at 2 AM PDT / 11 AM CEST for approximately 4 hours we will have a Glyph server maintenance that will temporarily disable the forums and new purchases on PC platforms. In-game purchases made using existing credits should still be possible though.

During this maintenance, the game should still be playable, but the forums and PC purchases will be down. For any news or updates, join our community Discord and look for messages on Twitter during this maintenance.

Additionally:

RIFT Live NA and EU will come offline on Thursday, September 5 at 7:30 AM PT for Battle Pass bugfixes. Find the patch notes here.

Downtime may last up to 2 hours, but we'll come back online as soon as the team is finished.

Extended Hardware & Network Maintenance - NA ONLY - July 24, 2019
On July 24, 2019 starting at 4:00 am PST all NA shards will be down for extended maintenance.

Estimated downtime is 9 hours.

EU Live Shard Merges – July 11, 2019
Greetings, Ascended!

The EU server merge will start on July 11, 2019 at 7 AM (PT)/ 9 AM (CT) / 4 PM (CEST) and the downtime may last up to 8 hours. For live updates, please check out our forum.

Shards to be merged:

  • Skelf (Hidden) / Refuge / Zaviel / Gelidra –> Typhiria


After it’s all been completed, the European cluster will consist of:

  • Bloodiron (PVP)
  • Brutwacht (German)
  • Brisesol (French)
  • Typhiria (English / xChat Host)
  • Cahail (Hidden Instance Host)


Good to know:


  • What happened with the previous shard merge attempts?
    • The past attempts to merge the shards failed due to unforeseen issues with the tool used. This tool, which had to be rewritten, was tested on our PTS. Huge Thank You! to everyone who took the time to test it!

  • Why is it happening during EU prime time?
    • The team that built the tool is located in the US, so it’s being done during a time where they could troubleshoot potential issues.

  • Considering the merge downtimes, will there be a compensation?
    • Yes! Compensation packs will be issued during the end of July or beginning of August.
