a new patch just went live. This one focuses on fixing matches ending way too quickly when one player gets a good engagement right at the start. It also includes a few more balance changes to make Black a bit more competitive and also nerf overpowered Sapling/Heavy Gunner strats.

Base Buildings (for all Tiers Bronze and higher)
* Stage 1 “Nexus” health increased from 2500 to 3750
* Stage 1 “Nexus” splash radius increased from 1.25 to 1.5
* Stage 2 “Nexus” splash radius increased from 1.75 to 2.0
* Stage 2 “Nexus” health increased from 3300 to 4000
* Stage 1 & 2 “Nexus” splash damage increased from 25 to 35 and single target damage increased from 80 to 120
* Stage 1 “Lane Tower” health increased from 800 to 1200
* Stage 2 “Lane Tower” health increased from 1200 to 1400

Rise of Legions Early Access launches on.. drumrooooll: 22 Feb 2019!
We’ve been putting our hearts into this game for three and a half years now, so we’re really excited this day has finally come. Since first Beta, we’ve been working super hard and improved quite a lot of things:
- New skins for your favourite units, like Snowman-Saplingbush, Machinerealm-Footmen, Underworld-Rootling and Rainbow Unicorn-Voidbaaaane O_O (and many more)
- Smoother performance for everyone
- New enchantment system (some units can enchant other units / increased synergies and combos)
- Card leveling and ascension / Cards can now earn experience and evolve their stats
- New Interface animations (popups, level-ups, rewards)
- All starter decks are unlocked after the tutorial FOR FREE. Starter decks are then added to your decklist
- Lots and lots of quality of life improvements (custom hotkeys, better tooltips, map navigation and more)
- Short and sweet tutorial
- Premium account that provides an xp- and currency-boost over a set timespan
- Unlocking deck- and profile-icons through progression
- 5 Tiers (stone, bronze, silver, gold and crystal) which enable you to play against players that have equally powered cards
- New Quest system which includes Daily-, Tutorial- and Event-Quests
- Increased the level cap of accounts to 60

Closed Beta Stage 3
As the spooky season comes to a close, we got some good news to cheer you up!
First and foremost, the next closed beta will start Friday, November 2nd at 8pm, CEST and will last until Monday, November 5th at 11:59 pm CEST.
The first version of the guided tutorial is finished, the ascension and leveling mechanics have been reworked and the PvP gameplay has been adjusted to make early stomps less likely. In addition to that, here’s a list of what we’ve been working on:
- New Interface animations (popups, level-ups, etc.)
- Balancing adjustments (Units,Spells).
- General gameplay adjustments (The towers are a bit stronger which leads to less early game stomps and makes siege units more valuable).
- Navigation bar/game mode selection rework (better usability).
- Unlock deck slots feature.
- All starter decks are unlocked after the tutorial. Starter decks are then added as presets to your decklist..
- Plus a lot of minor quality of life improvements (custom hotkeys, etc.)
In the spirit of focusing on what matters most from now to early access release, and because we are such a small team, we have decided to remove the 2v2 game mode for now. We will bring it back later. This allows us to concentrate all our efforts and time on bringing you the best 1v1 experience we can give you for the early access release.

Update on our next steps!
The closed beta will come to an end today at 5pm CEST. It has been a blast for us so far! We received a lot of valuable feedback and insights from the community, which we will use to make Rise of Legions even better! Thank you so much to everyone that participated!
We will be hosting another week-long closed beta around the beginning of October. We will also announce the Early Access Release Date pretty... erm, soon xD (soon, actually).
Here's an update on our next steps:
From now to early access:
- There will be a guided tutorial! Yes, finally.
- The starter deck decision in the beginning of the game will be removed. Instead, all starter deck cards are going to be unlocked. The tutorial will be played with the White Legion.
- There will be default decks for new players (created from the starter-deck card pool). These will allow to instantly get into the action, without the necessity to build a deck.
- The ascension system will be reworked. We already have a good idea on how we want to change this but we don't want to spoil too much in case it doesn't work out and we decide to go into a different direction.
- We are working on an experimental feature for the core game experience. It might not make it into the release version so we don't really want to talk about it too much but... If all goes well, expect a positive and explosive impact on the gameplay experience! This is the one change that is getting us the most excited internally so we really hope it passes implementation and also the next few tests we have for it and then we will let you guys know all about it (:
- There might be a premium account for the early access version that provides an xp- and currency-boost over a set timespan.
- We want to add 5 levels to every PvE difficulty. There will also be a progression through these levels so you can't just choose any difficulty from the beginning, you have to unlock them. (The highest difficulty will have some visual adjustments as well)
- We are always adjusting balance, progression and rewards along the way based on all the great feedback we receive, and also from the secret data that our voodoo hamsters are gathering directly from the database!
- We will of course finalize the special closed beta Rewards.
- Most profiles and deck icons will be locked in the beginning. You will be able to unlock some of them throughout the new and revamped progression.
- The way spawners spawn units will visually be adjusted to make it more intuitive.
- There is quite a long list of quality-of-life improvements and things to polish in general. All of this needs to happen, but we need to focus on the core systems first before we start on that sweet polish.
As most of you might know by now we are a very small team and only have a limited amount of time. Because of that some of our plans are always subject to change. We're always doing our best to deliver though! (:
