Well I hadn't realized quite how broken that last version of the game was, a lot of it was due to the changeover in animations that broke a lot of the previous ai tasks.
We have done a complete rework of the navigation system now and managed to improve it significantly, even if there is a fail on the move I have included a back up fail safe that should keep the people from freezing, Now occasionally it may result in someone doing something from a slight distance away ( as in he tries to get to a station fails and then builds that station from 2 metres away) not desirable, but much better than an ai freeze forcing people to save and reload the game.
We now have a notification for saving and loading, so if you don't see a message then it hasn't done it.
Same goes for clicking on stations, the cursor will change to a hand if it doesn't rotate the camera as sometimes you can get funny angles where it does not want to detect them.
You should now be able to do everything and have no freezing, let us now how you get on!.
Children are the future
Ok so the update is out, though it is not including everything we had planned, I had a major issue this morning with my animation system which saved incorrectly corrupting most of the game play files which took me most of the day to fix.
However the good news. We now have kids in the game, yes your tribe can now grow. If certain conditions are met (food surplus atm and a hut) you will find a new addition to your tribe.
We have redone a lot of the animations and these look much better than before, We have a lot more animations to come which we will be adding next week ( these would have been in today but I just couldn't fit it in after the problems I had this morning)
Currently the children do not eat or need food, again I didn't have time to get the eating animation in so they need no support!
Bugs? I think I have solved all the freezing issues now, I have been playing the game all week at 64 times speed and haven't had it happen so I am 99% certain it is fixed.
The deer freezing up after a failed hunt is now fixed.
The HTC Vive issue where it starts the Vive, as default Unreal has a support plugin for vive so I disabled that and guess that shouldn't happen now.
We have managed to get some speed buttons added so you can speed up the game now, I have thrown them in on the bottom, I will move them later though not sure where to put them.
There was going to be a wolf added in today but again until I can apply the finishing touches to him he is disabled.
Next week the wolf will be in, we will add more animations and start looking at more place able buildings.
We didn't manage to get everything ready for today that we hoped but I was determined to at least get a more stable version up today with the kids in it. After the disaster this morning we did well to get this up!. Hopefully you can get more of an idea where we are heading for the future, we only started in early access just less than a month ago, but have big plans. This Mornings Fix!
Not so much an update as a fix for something I broke yesterday, I have been working on the failure to move issues and I believe that most of this should be fixed now if not all.
Anyone that played yesterday and didn't have a save would not have been able to build the wood cutting station as I accidentally disabled it, my apologies for anyone who noticed.
Now for the good news, we know there are a quite a few bugs still in there, tools not showing when mining, wrong placement of tools in peoples hands etc.
We are going to be a bit quiet for a week maybe 2, we are going to be working on a major update to the game, this will include the following.
- Fix for the woman, Idle animations, ability to sleep in the hut etc.
- Fix for missing tool animations listed above.
- Slight rework on the wood collection so it is not so boring.
- Load/Save More than one save slot and the ability to load from the start screen
- Additional Language Support
- Plus two new additional features to the game which will massively change and expand the game play.
- Mac version
This doesn't mean we will be ignoring any issues people have, If it is game breaking, I will fix it. but otherwise we want to concentrate on getting this update so you have a better experience with the game.
If anyone has any problems post them in the discussions and we will see them.

Including what was done this morning, I also have done some work towards fixing the failure to move that tends to happen, please let me know if anybody fails to move, I need to know what they were doing and where they were going, as in cutting trees and stuck at the gather point etc.
I also removed the build hammer from the butcher stone.
Quick update
Ok I am just posting a quick update this morning, it seems too many people are struggling to get started and starving to do death in the very beginning.
I have changed the way the gather station works so you can now choose what to gather, now I think this will make it too easy initially but once we add the next few additions I believe we can balance this out again without overly punishing the players.
The butcher station was previously used for butchering the carcasses but atm it does not do anything, so when it loads in with the hammer on it does not matter, as you cannot click on it.
It will be put into use shortly.
Try this version of the gather station, hopefully it will be more to your liking.

Help button with a tutorial has been added, so hopefully people will not be too confused with the game when first starting out, a small engine upgrade as well which hopefully will relieve some of the random UE4 crashes.

Loads of smaller bits in this too many to list, I have included a button in settings to delete the grass for people suffering low fps, you will need to press it 3 or 4 times to delete all the grass and do it again after a load as the grass comes back.
I just want to check if it is the grass causing the fps issues, if it is I can work on a proper fix.
I tried replicating a error this morning with the spear hunting but could not replicate it, so instead I spent some time optimizing some engine issues which will hopefully result in less fatal errors and crashes for those that
have been experiencing those.

1 Wood cutting bug fixed no more cutting the same tree, leaving one man frozen
2 Hunting - Failure resulting in man freezing is now fixed.
3 The female character now dies.
4 Death of both female or male members results in game over.
5 Energy hunting cost fixed.

Right I should have finally fixed the Save Load function, all buildings should load in correctly now and the woman should be saving correctly, I have also sped up the night cycle significantly so it is not so slow.

Sorry for the initial problems with the game, everything is a learning process for us atm.
1, Tool station loading not built after it was already built is fixed.
2, Negative resources after a load is fixed.
3, Resolution for 1280X1024 should now work, the icons are a little higher up the screen than I would like which is a scaling issue, I may be able to adjust this more later, but for now at least you can play.
4, Motion blur is now listed in the settings and can be disabled, let me know if this works as for me I cannot really tell the difference.
5 Q/E will now rotate the camera.
We will try to get another update out tomorrow, If anyone has any other issues please let us know.
