[Demo] Patch Notes for Build 0.1.134
Thanks for all your excellent feedback regarding the latest Robobeat demo. As a result of this feedback we have made and will continue to make improvements to Robobeat and the Robobeat demo ahead of launch.
Of course, movement is massively important to gameplay. Wall Jumping is now 50% smoother and more responsive. Combat is important too, parrying feels waaaay better.
The machines have been hard at work building a new tutorial room to learn combos! You can track your progression on the starting room walls too.
Frazzerâs mansion is now cleaner, renders better and is generally a better place to be.
We have made some cool and much needed changes to the player settings. You can now save keybind configurations, increase camera shake with the all new CSM3000 (Camera Shake Multiplier) and even adjust your headbobbing/headrolling thresholds.
We even fixed a few minor bugs that our super rad community helped us find!
Thanks again for all your feedback. Please keep this coming. Wishlist Robobeat and join our Discord if you haven't already. As always, stay tuned to our socials for updates.
Gameplay: Improved the smoothness and responsiveness of walljumping.
Gameplay: Added a small tutorial room specifically designed to teach combos.
Gameplay: The starting area now visually indicates progression on the walls.
Gameplay: Parrying is a bit harder, but feels better.
Visuals: Upgraded rendering system for clearer visuals.
Data-Chip: Data-chips now have different rarities and allows for more decks.
Data-Chip: Slightly balanced some of the data-chip cards.
Progression: Adjusted the order of unlocks in the game, this affects the demo slightly too. For example; the electric shock is no longer unlockable, unless you already have it unlocked in your save-file.
Settings: Saveable keybindings.
Settings: Camera shake multiplier
Settings: Headbobbing / Headrolling toggles
Feedback: Added a quick YES/NO question, pops up one time and then never again.
But we didnât want to stop at just letting players add their own music into the game like other rhythm shooters. Oh no.
We wanted to create a truly CUSTOM music feature.
So how exactly will custom music work in Robobeat?
First, youâll need to head to the Custom Music section of the main menu and upload your track. The feature will support .wav, .mp3, and .ogg files. Most importantly, you wonât ever need to exit the game. You can import tracks directly from your files into the game itself!
After that, youâll need to customize your cassette. Name the track whatever you like, pick your artist, and choose from a psychedelic palette of colours and designs to make your cassette. Alternatively, add your own photos and use them to create a cassette that is truly unique!
But why stop there when thereâs so much more to customize?
Once youâve uploaded your track, you can either choose to leave it as is or edit it in our track editor. The beats will be autogenerated when you upload, but you can change them to suit your playstyle. Clip out your favourite part so your custom cassette is all killer and no filler.
The colorful square at the bottom will indicate the BPM of the track, so youâll have an idea of what itâll be like to use in game.
When youâre done creating your custom cassette, you can also export it and share it with your friends, Robobeat community members, your followers, your pets, or even that one guy you met at the bus stop, so they can play using it too!
Once youâre back in the game, all you need to do is switch to your new custom cassette and shoot robots to the beat of your own drum.
Itâs really as simple as that!
Youâll also be able to effortlessly shift between any of the songs youâve discovered or added to your cassette library, so youâll never have to go back to the main menu or exit the game again. EVER.

Gameplay Changes:
Loot Cards: After each battle, players receive a throwable card, either blips or money. There will be more reward cards in the full game Looping Music: Resolved the issue where a song looping would cause problems with the beatmap. Utilities: You now start your playthrough with only one randomized utility in the HUB.
