Hello!

I was surprised at the number of people who were disappointed to see Roguelite become unavailable on Steam. For that reason, a direct sequel will be coming soon! Current release date is February 6, though it will release as soon as January 25th for Android.

Roguelite 2 features new playable classes, a 50-floor dungeon with randomized environments, and a major graphics upgrade - all with the same goal of battling enemies, looting treasure (lots more of that this time around, too!) and defeating all-new bosses. Check the store page to see all the new features!

Price will be $2.99, discounted to $1.99 for a short time after release. Android price will be $1.99 and often discount down to just $0.99.

Transition of Roguelite to Android

Hello everyone,

As the title says, I will be requesting Roguelite to be taken down from the Steam store soon.

EDIT: Roguelite's planned retirement date from Steam is 12-20-2019. The game can now be purchased from the Google Play Store for $1.49. If you have already purchased Roguelite on Steam and would like a free copy of Roguelite for Android (you'll need a modern mid-high end device as low-end/cheap devices won't work), send me an email at Jkweath@gmail.com and I'll happily send you a promo code link.

The main reason for retiring Roguelite for Steam is that the various updates I've made to the game will likely break the save files of anyone currently in the dungeon. This is unacceptable to me, as is the current state of the game to begin with.

Roguelite for Android will have the following updates:



-English is now the game's only language.

-The fog of war / "sight radius" has been completely removed, mostly due to performance issues on mobile devices (plus, the game actually feels funner without it anyway)

-A quest system is now available. The player can receive small rewards upon exiting the dungeon, such as extra starting gold, items, and unlockable classes.

-Random events can now occur on any floor. In addition, two new events were added: Peaceful (no monster spawns!), and Animal Rush.

-The game's resolution was increased slightly.

-A few new enemies were added to various floors.

-Many enemy groups can now have higher numbers, especially enemy hero groups. Many enemies also have new abilities and higher stats.

-The three difficulties were renamed to Normal, Hard, and Heroic (unlockable after beating the dungeon once). Some bosses in Heroic will use new abilities.

-Weapons and armors give more stats overall, especially Axes, Lances, special (gold chest) equipment, and accessories.

-Class stat growths were adjusted, mostly upward. Non-magic classes have significantly higher HP and ATK growth, while spellcasters have lowered ATK growth in exchange for higher MAT.

-The monk may now counter-attack upon being struck, as can the ninja. The heroine can also counter-attack as a bonus hero customization.

-The thief now doubles item and gold drops and prevents surprise attacks.

-The heroine can now be named.

-Many other various numbers adjustments were made. There are too many to list, but the overall result is that the dungeon is overall more engaging and the difficulty is a bit higher and more constant across all floors.
