As a reminder from my previous update, Roguelite 2 will be retired from Steam and all platforms on November 29.
If you'd still like to pick it up to add to your Steam collection, it's on sale for $0.55--the maximum possible discount Steam would allow!
Happy Thanksgiving and goodnight!
Roguelite 2 will be leaving Steam soon
Hello everyone!
I made Roguelite 2 about four years ago as a two-week side project building off of my previous simpler title Roguelite 1.
Originally I planned on making a sequel with much higher scope--more features, content, and updates--unfortunately that idea never panned out, and at the moment I have no plans for a sequel.
Because of that, and more issues pertaining to the game itself (it's my lowest reviewed game on Steam, and for good reasons), I have decided to take down Roguelite 2 for sale on all platforms as it no longer fits my quality standards.
Anyone who owns the game already will get to keep it, and for anyone who doesn't, it'll run a 72% discount (the lowest I can go) the week before it goes down. I don't have an exact date planned, but I'm aiming for the end of November.
Thank you all for your support and have a great week!
The Knight Bewitched: Enhanced Edition Kickstarter
I'm sure you all are aware already, but Knight Bewitched is the game that Ruth and Gwen originally came from--and now it's getting an Enhanced Edition with tons of new stuff!
Here's a quick overview of what rewards you can get by contributing to the Kickstarter Campaign. All rewards include a digital copy of Knight Bewitched as well:
$10: An 11x17 cover art poster (the cover art is featured in this announcement)
$15: The new Official Player's Guide and mostly-new Soundtrack
$20: Desktop Wallpapers of all the new in-game art illustrations
$25: An in-game randomized statue with your name and a brief message of your choosing
$35: Everything above, including the cover art poster
Roguelite 2 (and 1, in a way) got more attention than I expected them to, considering they were both "side projects" for me.
I mentioned in a Steam discussion awhile back that I was working on a sequel titled "Roguelite Girls". This project was obviously put on the backburner once I started on the Enhanced Edition, but I would like to return to it in the future. It may take awhile since I've done a minor engine upgrade and would need to hire a programmer to redo some of the scripts used in Roguelite (namely the random dungeon script, which is, y'know, kinda important) and I'd also need to secure some new assets.
Regardless, I haven't forgotten about you, and I hope that someday I can make a new Roguelite that's even better than the first two!
Have a great week and stay safe!
2-15-2020 update
Heya! Small update today:
-The Hero now begins with a unique Lesser White healing spell and a non-elemental Lesser Black spell. If you've already started the game, you can pick up these spells by customizing your hero with Ruth either at the Hub or the Rest Stop.
-Some dialogue was changed to suggest the player open the Locked Chests in the Hub *after* finishing their party selection. This is because resetting your party will reset all learned spells and equipped items.
-To compensate for the obscure mechanic outlined above, a rat will appear in the Tutorial Room after beating normal difficulty. Speaking to this rat will net you four normal Keys for free.

2-10-2020 Update
Heya! Small update today:
-You can now change the Hero's gender when customizing your stats with Ruth. You can do this at the hub and at the rest stop.
-A few minor conversations were changed if the player changes their gender to female.
-A previous update fixed a minor bug in which hero customizations for Threat Level and Experience were not working as intended.
