Additional European Languages for RollerCoaster Tycoon: Deluxe Now Live!
For most players, Steam will automatically recognize what language your Steam Client is set to and adjust the game's language to that, if it is available. However, if you notice that the game's language has not changed automatically, you can manually change it by going to your Game Library in Steam > Opening the Game Properties > Clicking Languages > and Setting the Language of your Choice. The game will then re-download in that language.
Please note, although we have tested this extensively and did not see any issues with Saved Games, you should as a precaution backup your Saved Game before switching.
Saved games can be found at the following location on your computer:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RollerCoaster Tycoon Deluxe\Saved Games

We have completed testing of additional languages (French, Italian, German, Spanish) for RCTD. Although Saved Games were ok in testing, we recommend before installing you backup your saved game in case it gets overwritten.
Saved games can be found at the following location on your computer:

Recent RollerCoaster Tycoon: Deluxe Update Info
As you know, the entire RollerCoaster Tycoon® PC catalog is available on Steam and we want to share some updates.
- First, we released a small update for RollerCoaster Tycoon® Deluxe on 5/28/14 to increase compatibility with new Operating Systems (Win 7 and 8). One side effect we have seen is the update may erase your saved games. However, there is a solution to get your saved progress back. After you have already updated the game, you need to rename the file CSS0.DAT to OLD_CSSO.DAT. This file can be found at this path: \Steam\steamapps\common\RollerCoaster Tycoon Deluxe\Data
- Second, new players who downloaded the game after 5/28/14 are unaffected.
- Third, we are working on fully compatible FIGS versions of the game that we plan to give to all players for FREE! Please make sure to back-up your saved games because changing languages will overwrite your saved game.
<*>The Saved Games folder is located in your Steam installation folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\RollerCoaster Tycoon Deluxe\Saved Games.
<*>After you back up the entire Saved Games folder, copy the contents back in once you are done with the update.
