Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is a complete 3D remake of the original Romancing SaGa 2, first released in 1993 in Japan.
This remake keeps the epic story of the war fought between the imperial line of Varennes and the Seven Heroes of legend, as well as all the unique mechanics from the SaGa franchise, such as “Glimmers” and “Formations” while reworking the battle and character growth systems and adding numerous new features such as JP and EN voice acting. Moreover, the expansive world and characters that were originally depicted using pixel graphics have been fully updated to gorgeous 3D.

Originally released back in 1995, this new version of the game has been remastered for modern consoles and smartphones. It features entirely new additional content, optimized graphics, updated controls and more.
What is Romancing SaGa 3?
Romancing SaGa is an RPG that does things a little differently. It features a unique free-form scenario system that lets you experience a different narrative depending on which character you choose.
There are eight heroes available:
• Ellen Carson - an active and lively woman whose strength is second to none.
• Sarah Carson - shy, introverted and sister to Ellen. She embarks on a journey to find her strength and independence.
• Monika Ausbach - an exceptionally strong-willed and compassionate noblewoman who loves her brother above all else.
• Katarina Laurand - A calm, collected swordswoman who works as guard and caretaker to Monika.
• Julian Nord - a childhood friend of Ellen and Sarah who is asked to join the Princess Guard - a group who protect Monika Ausbach.
• Thomas Bent - a descendent of the prestigious Bent family, Thomas is greatly talented in matters of business.
• Mikhail Ausbach von Loanne - The marquis of Loanne and older brother to Monika. He is renowned for his leadership and political know-how.
• Khalid - a wandering swordsman with a noble past. His prowess with a blade have earned him the nickname Tornado.
So that’s eight different characters, with eight different narratives!
That’s not the only inspired thing in the game - in fact, inspiration’s a big deal in the impressively deep combat system.
Battles are turn-based, and everything from the setup of your party to their positioning can have a dramatic effect on your performance in battle.
Every time a character attacks, there’s a chance they’ll be hit with a sudden flash of inspiration. If that happens, they’ll launch a new attack instead, and be able to use that attack at any time.
