What's coming in next update/hotfix

Hi! We are working on the next patch/update wich is planned to be release on 03 June : )

In this update we will tweak/fix different things for example:

- The saving system could potentially save sometimes when the player is near the monster, this could be
a problem since the player will need to escape instantly when load again into the level, some more
extra range for the safe zone will be implemented in wich the saving system is exluded to avoid this
problem.

- When the monster is near the player it could be hard to listen his footsteps along with all others
sounds , this can make it difficult to perceive wheter the monster is near or not , this is part of the
challenge but we want to give you a bit more of forewarning, so we are planning to some
recognizable audios that can help in giving a "sort of" danger feel.

- Sometimes the background soundtracks , especially when the last save is loaded , may sounds
overlapping for a period. We have tracked the issue and release the fix it in the update.

- Out of stamina breath may keep playing when you exit to main menu.
We are releasing the fix in the update.

- Further general optimizations of the loadings and performances will be applied constanstly in all the
updates.

- We will keep this list updated whetever we find any other problem.

Known issues to fix in the next updates:

- Some Users may experience a randomic crash or this could never manifest during the gameplay, We
have partially tracked the problem but since this is something strictly related to the cryengine
rendering code we will need some time to debug and collect crash logs from a wide range of PC's.
This task may take long time, we will update as soon we have news.

- Switching trought different graphic settings specs (low, medium, high, very high) , especially when
you jump from low to high / very high can take up to a minute for reloading textures / objects. We
are looking to speed up this task into the internal code and as well will take some time. We highly
recommend to switch the specs in the game menu and not during gameplay and switch it gradually
for now.

Hotfix 1.0 is live

Hotfix 1.0 is now live : )

FIXED ISSUES:

When the player die from monster after loading the last save and jump back in game pressing the controller jump button ( A ) or the left mouse button it can reload to the main menu.

The F2 Key was allowing the player to teleport to some preset locations


TENTATIVE FIX

Sometimes , especially when saving the game while the player is out of stamina the audio breath could keep playing even when you go back to main menu. Fast solution is to restart the game and load again your last save..
We have imp,emented a tentative fix but this may not totally solve the problem, we are aware how to fix completely but require some extra time, will be 100% fixed in the next hotfix :)

As posted in the previous patch announce we have implemented some light fixes and modificated some UI to be more user-friendly giving the player some extra tips on how to use some keys or complete objectives.

We have slightly reduced the monster run speed to better balance the chasing

Hotfix planned for tomorrow

Hello Everyone! We are starting collecting your feedbacks from the game and we are trying to reproduce the most common issues reported to get an hotfix asap.

Know issues:

When the player die from monster after loading the last save and jump back in game pressing the controller jump button ( A ) or the left mouse button it can reload to the main menu. We have identify the problem and deliver a fix tomorrow.

(if you cheat, you are a bad person!!, don't use f2 key!) :D

Along with the hotfix we will update some other important things to improve the overall gameplay.

The time has finally come! Room 54 release date is set!

Dear Players! The wait is almost over! We wish to thank you all for your great patience waiting for our news, we've been quiet for a long time as we encounter some hard tasks and we needed to take care about it. But now finally we have set the release date!

Meet the protagonist Daniel! (Work in Progress)

Hi everyone! Today we want showcase the new restyling of Daniel, the main character of Room 54! Daniel will be the character you will play along all the game, is very important take care of his aspect and dedicate him a lot of attentions, thanks to our 3D Character Artist, Vitor Ribeiro, Daniel is on right hands! You can see down here some work in progress screenshots, Vitor put a lot of efforts to reproduce his body anatomy, giving him so much details. The version you see right now is a work in progress model, as soon we have the final 3D Model fully texturized and with his proper clothes we will update you. We hope that you like it and let us know what you think about it!

[IMPORTANT] Room 54 Development Update

Hi Dear Community, We know we've been "Offline" and give no news during this last months, in this news we want to talk to everyone is waiting the game and the demo and all of you that supported us, we are going to heavily modificate the initial setup and story of project of the game to a new one , as you know we are a very small startup team at our first game, during the development we see that our resources was very limited in order to create the project we wanted, we had to cut and move the project to another path, the game will remain a survival horror game of course but we will cut off some mechanics that will take too much for the implementation, we will inform you soon with updates and we will modify the steam description of the project so you can understand what we are doing and in the end we are pretty sure you will be happy with results, Thank you for your patience! :)
