Some big updates! Wanted to put this off until we got close, but I think we're close now, so....
Steam Alpha Release Schedule
I hope to release the first full Alpha build of Rubi to Steam in the coming weeks. (End of the month is my soft deadline) That includes previously inaccessible areas, as well as brand new zones and powerups. It doesn't include -all- the planned release content, but pretty close to it! I'm doing playthrough runs / fixes now attempting to resolve the most obvious issues and bugs, and then more based on your feedback!
There's a lot to work on still, even with the addition of the CERN, LHC, End Game encounters, and expanded Geneva Lake areas, so I want to temper expectations by calling this an Alpha, there's a lot of filling in to do!
On the plate between Alpha and Beta:
Visual Updates
Multiple Ending Development
More Visual Updates
Mechanics Tuning and bug fixes
Lots of Visual Updates
More music tracks
Platforming puzzle implementations and refinement
More enemies
Looking back on previous updates, I've been calling this a 'beta' for some time. Some areas are at that level, but to me a beta is something on the surface level that could approach a release candidate, and there are some areas that are still not there yet. New bosses and enemies are also scattered throughout:
Mycotic Mira
These common Mira are partway through a Feral transformation, taking form of an uncontrollable fungal growth / mutation, restricting their movement and eroding their essence.
Aerial Scout
Airborne versions of their walking counterparts, these mischevious bots rain down attacks from above.
???
What are these even?? Immunity to most attacks?!
There's a couple of pieces of Kickstarter related content to finish up as well. Mostly thinking about the Animal questline and associated rewards. Will post an update about that sometime soon I think.

Rubi: The Wayward Mira - Developer Livecast
Rubi: The Wayward Mira is a 2D action-platformer game based in a lush pixel world where science and magic come together. Featuring ability-based progression, Rubi is a Metroidvania at its core, but features nonlinear gameplay with multiple playstyles and endings.
Guide Rubi, a Mira stranded on the alien world of Earth, in her quest to awaken the bridge between worlds, open a portal back to her homeworld of Casimir, and save her people from extinction.
Ages ago, three perfect singularities of mana gave birth to the Progenitors of Casimir.
They weaved their power throughout the veins of the planet, giving birth to all life in the world, and the Mira. For a time, life flourished and grew to every corner of the world.
The Mira continued to build on this power. Great civilizations grew unchecked, until the power began to dim. The planet was at its limit, the ancient power bestowed by the Progenitors had reached its bound, but the Mira refused to accept their fate, and continued to draw on the last reserves of Casimir.
A great ruin washed across the lands. Ash and Dust stripped bare the once verdant landscape, and all of life retreated into what refuge it could find. Now searching for answers before all is lost, the Mira face a difficult future.
