Ruby & Majesty: Treasure Team is now version 1.0.5. This update solves many user experience issues that have bothered me since release. Colors have been overhauled. The Split Hall is now much brighter. Many sound effects have been tweaked or replaced. There is much more context based help text. In terms of content, 25 rooms have been updated across the game solving numerous soft-locks, annoyances and typos. Thanks for sticking with me and stay safe!
Small Update and What's Next!
Howdy!
I've just posted another small update that fixes an issue introduced in the previous build and it adds some small quality of life features too.
The main fix is that the particles are back to their correct colors. If you notice anything extra strange happening with particle colors please let me know.
CHANGES
A few rooms in Split Hall and Giant Mine have received cosmetic improvements.
An impossible solution to an early Giant Mine room is now extra impossible to keep folks from wasting too much time trying to get it to work.
Warps now show their destination on the map when one character is standing on them. This uses unique colors and a unique sprite.
Helper text has been added to The Warps in The DimSim room in The Safe so folks can now see who lives where without having to use the Warps.
The current room on the map has a slightly brighter highlight.
The Editor now runs at 60 FPS instead of 30 FPS. This is the first step towards an overhaul of the Editor user experience.
Upcoming!
My main focus for the next big update is improving the Editor user interface and documentation. I plan to post a small level made from outtakes to the Workshop and I will be including the .rmx and .lox files for it with the update. This will be helpful to those who want to learn the Editor.
Beyond that I will be revising and expanding The Safe. My goal is to make it simpler to navigate and for it to include a bit more about Planet Dirt and it's inhabitants.
I would love to hear more about what features or types of content folks are interested in over on the forum and in the new Discord.
Thanks for reading! Be sure to leave a review if you haven't, they help a lot!
Yours truly,
John of TheWzzard
Achievement Fix is Live
Howdy!
I've just pushed a small update that will make The Safe Explored Achievement possible. The rooms in The Safe with the endings were not being saved as Explored. Watch those endings again to add those rooms to the count and the achievement should go through the next time you visit the level select screen. As always if there are any issues please post in the forums.
Thanks! Please please please leave a review if you have not.
OST and Game + OST Now Available
Hey folks!
I've added the Official Soundtrack to Steam. There is also a new bundle to pick up the game and OST at the same time for a little less! Soundtrack is on sale this for a week as well.
Thanks again for all the support. Don't forget to leave a review if you haven't already.
1.0.3 Update is Live! Other updates are on the horizon
First off I want to thank everyone that has reported bugs, left reviews, or has otherwise helped out. Your enthusiasm feeds me!
Changes in 1.0.3
The dust has started to settle so I've pushed the 1.0.3 update which should solve some of the smaller issues that you have reported.
Speed Run Timer This version changes the Speed Run Timer to time the entire game and it now pauses during some points where there is no input and in the pause menu.
New High Contrast Color Option I added a new color option for those who want a less vibrant and more creepy vibe. I'll be putting more of these in with each update because they are fast and fun.
Cloud Save Fixes You probably didn't notice but starting a New Game wasn't completely clearing out your stats. Now it does! I also sorted the issue where Flipped Mode was temporarily unlocking for every slot.
What's next?
Editor Guide and Updates I was hoping to have the Guide ready for launch but I am still working on the Guide for the Editor and I will be making some updates to the Editor to make it far more user friendly.
Content Updates There are some parts of the experience I want to expand a little bit but I want to make sure everything already in the game is working correctly. I will be focusing on fixing reported issues before any other content changes happen. If you get stuck anywhere and believe it is a bug please post over in Bug Reports. Include a screenshot if you can.
After nearly 3 years in development, I am happy to announce that Ruby & Majesty: Treasure Team is RELEASED!
Be sure to leave a review and if you have any questions head over to the discussions and I will do what I can.
Coming August 31!
It's almost here! Version 1.00 will be the best Ruby & Majesty: Treasure Team experience yet. I hope you are ready for all the twin-hero puzzle fun!
IS IT ONE OR TWO PLAYER?
It's one AND two player!
Ruby & Majesy: Treasure Team can be played as a single player game where you control both characters or as a two player game where each player controls one character. The game is the same either way but your experience will be different. The puzzles and levels will be the exactly the same but getting through them will require slightly different skills. One player will be more of a challenge for your coordination. Two player will be more of a challenge for your relationship with the other person.
NOTE: Save files are not tied to number of players. You can add/drop a second player from the Main Menu whenever you like.
