Thanks to your feedback the new SHIELD MODE and BALL CONTROL was much appreciated and validated by the community. We also hear your request for better fight mechanics and a better assist for newcomers. With the V1.52 we introduce you two great new features.
NEW CONTENT :
• Punch : The punch has a new aura when the punch is charged.
• Level design : A long work to make the arena more lively has begun.
• Dynamic moves : The dynamic materials and bumpers are now active for players.
NEW FEATURES :
• Lock ball : The lock ball has been re-designed to make interception, punch and access to the ball easier for newcomers. Instead of focusing exclusively on the ball, lock ball will put you on the same height as the ball. Nevertheless, you will be completely free to adjust your movements.
• Grab : It is now possible to grab opponents ! When you grab someone his movement are constrained by your movements. Be careful he can knock you out if you grab him too long. Grabbing an opponent while one of your friends hits him is a powermove. It’s also very useful to prevent the goalkeeper to stop a ball, or simply grab a striker before he scores !
BUGFIX/UPDATED :
• Ball control : Backwards ball control is now more accessible, so it is now easier to control the ball.
• Animations : New set of animations for lateral moves.
• Movements : Going up and down is now 25 % faster.

RUCKBALL 1.5 update
Thanks to the awesome feedback from its community, Ruckball, the lovechild of Descent and Speedball improves day after day and is enriched with new content and features.
NEW CONTENT :
• Variable gravity environments: Until now, Ruckball offered pure zero gravity environments. From now on, each arena will have its own gravity. You will now have to adapt your gameplay to the physics.
• New map: The new Monolith arena is available! It has two corridors where the fighting is fierce. Monolith is suitable for opportunistic players who will be able to emerge in front of the opponent’s goal at the last moment. The double gravity system also allows exceptional long-range strikes.
• New interface: The whole UI has been redesigned!
• Shop: Ruckball shop finally appears! Users will be able to buy Ruckcoins to modify their armor. You can now support Ruckball’s development by purchasing the official sponsors of the 8 countries most represented by our players: United States, France, Germany, Brazil, United Kingdom, Canada, Italy, Russia. We also offer a special FOUNDER bundle.
• HUD: The life bar of the character is now visible, players names and colors are optimized for a better reading of the game.
NEW FEATURES:
• Ball control (in test): Interception now allows you to control the ball and dribble your opponents. You are now in control!
• Shield mode (in test): The character curls up and becomes invincible. It bounces like a ball. Ideal to propel a teammate or to move away an opponent. The shield mode allows you to float in the air or spin on the walls to maintain your speed without any boost.
COMPETITION:
• Statistics: Players can now view their careers. Many stats are available in their profile and will allow them to see in which game compartments they need to progress. Yes, competition is about to start…
• Leveling: Climb the levels by training in fast games.
• Reward: Win the new skin SOV by reaching level 100! All alpha sponsors in your possession are applicable to this skin.
• Rankings: Compete against other players by climbing up the rankings: best goalkeepers, best defenders, best striker, best punchers, and number of victories.
BUGFIX :
No matter how hard we play our game every day, you always find strange bugs that we've never encountered before. Once again, a big thank you to all those who are actively working to improve RUCKBALL experience.

First we are excited to present you an evolution of the game interface and a new main menu. It's still under construction but honnestly we couldn’t wait to show you this before it's over. (Tell us what you think about it).
Sound is now spatialized and should allow you to better anticipate the actions and positions of your opponents.
And finally, after weeks of optimization, The framerate is not capped to 60 FPS anymore !
For those who don't know, since last week the servers are open 24/7 and you can play with your friends by creating your own team.

All four of us tested this version with our alpha tester. We thought that we finally had THE version of Ruckball that perfectly met our expectations.
With a little bitterness we came to the conclusion that maybe we should have waited for this level of development before launching our Early Access, we would probably have more people on the servers today.
On the other hand, without you to guide us, we would never have been able to achieve such a high level of quality.
This is a paradox that we will not be able to solve. Let's just say that we have made the choice to use Early Access for the tool it is: an ongoing project supported by its community, not a marketing tool.
So let's keep working together. Give Ruckball it’s chance, play, share, invite friends. On our side we are preparing something big for you!
The last two weeks have been particularly busy for the team. Following the last update, many of you asked us for a system that would allow you to play with your friends. It's done!
This week we are introducing the new RUCKBALL invite friends system. It will allow you to create teams of three to play online.
We have also created a custom game system, you will soon have the freedom to create games with your own rules and in the arena of your choice.
Finally, following your strong requests, we have decided to open the servers all week long (and maybe beyond). This step is one of the most important steps for our independent studio. Our community is growing day after day but not enough to ensure that you will find players by connecting every day of the week. We advise you to organize with your friends to play together or to join our discord to invite players from the Matchmaking section.
We remind you that we are in early access and that this step implies that bugs can occur. It is imperative to share your comments with us so that together we can make Ruckball a top notch game.
Last week Ruckball's multiplayer was switched to dedicated servers. Everything went well. This week's update focuses mainly on system improvement :
We optimized the lighting of both arenas to save FPS. Some bugs reported by the community have also been fixed. We made a video tutorial to introduce Ruckball to the new players.

We have set up the matchmaking to favour 3v3 matches.
Finally, many of you asked us to increase the game pace. We have sped up the boost recovery.
Your gauge will charge during wall jump, it now allows you to link boost and wall jump.

This is the biggest Ruckball update since its early access release a few weeks ago. On the program of the V1.30 :
DEDICATED SERVERS.
We heard you. You can now play on US and European servers from today. We are counting on you to inform us of any issues you may have encountered during this week end.
Furthermore many players want to be able to host games. This feature is not killed. It will come back very soon with the development of the "custom games".
INTERCEPTIONS.
The interception has been completely reworked. Now you will have some more speed and amplitude. On the other hand the ball won't stop until you are perfectly positioned on its path. The ball is more mobile and the game more thrilling. We warned you ^^
MAGNUS
The Magnus effect has also been modified. Some players complained that they couldn't do it. It will now be more sensitive and will take into account your orientation during the execution of your shot.
FRENCH

Community feedback
A lot of you where asking for a system to speak and organize with your teammates during a game.
We added an Ingame quick chat wheel system to speak with other players.
Added more nervosity to the controls modifying the whole character animation blending.
Fixed minor bug where the ball sometimes doesn’t spawn for clients.
GUI and gameplay sound levels update.

We will also release a roadmap for RUCKBALL in the next couple of days.
But we can already say that we are currently switching RUCKBALL to dedicated server. We will also release a LAN option for those of you who want to play with friend during the week.

PATCH NOTE 1.1.0
You have been more than 5000 to join RUCKBALL community on the first weekend. Thank you all.
Unfortunately, the launch wasn't as smooth as we had expected. As you know, until we have the funds to pay for game servers, RUCKBALL multiplayer will be based on a peer-to-peer system. It works very well when players are close and have a reasonably powerful computer, but it can become terrible when both conditions are not met.
The problem is that we have overestimated the average game configuration of our users, which has had the effect of ruining the fluidity of some games. Fortunately not everything was bad, and we were able to watch some exceptional matches.
It was really frustrating for us to know that some of you couldn't play RUCKBALL in good conditions. So, we've been working on that this week. From now on you will no longer be automatically paired with other players, you will be able to create or join ongoing games which will allow you to play under the best conditions.
Do not hesitate to join the most efficient servers for your comfort of play. If you play with your friends, let the one with the most powerful configuration host your games.
In addition, some of you have encountered freezes, others had problems with their key bindings. We hope that the last patch will allow a return to normal.
