Run Of Mydan upgrades to a new engine version!

It isn't always easy to move all of your work to a newer version of the engine, it takes a lot of time if there were major changes that cause problems between the transition. But when you realize how much a game can gain from such an update you know that your efforts will pay off!

So we did it! We paused the development for a bit, and made it through various versions of the engine. It wasn't an easy task, but now that we finally made it, we're proud to announce that Run Of Mydan gained a boost in both performance and visuals thanks to Unreal Engine 4.17!

Run Of Mydan - 0.2.8.1 minor update and hotfix

Hey everyone! Just checking in to tell you we updated the game and did some fixes:

- updated Edylins map border ring with entire new model
- made machine gun slightly more precise
- fixed weird head movement bug
- fixed oculus hand offset not replicating correctly across the network
- fixed pause menu realignment issue
- ... a lot of other minor bug fixes

Run Of Mydan - Optimization and fixes

Hey guys!
We just released another update:

- network load optimizations during gameplay
- fixed issue with client's lobby menu
- fixed issue with oculus visual artifacts when losing tracking
- fixed collision issues on Edylin


Run Of Mydan - hotfix

Hey there!
Here we are again, with some big fixes. We got reports of clients disconnecting during map transitions, and we hope that this issue is finally dealt with. We wish to apologize for the struggles we had with this, Unreal wasn't very helpful in this particular case! :)

- fixed that map transition thing
- fixed bug when pausing as a spectator
- fixed platform movement since the addition of new flight modes
- fixed machine gun click sound which wasn't spatialized

We are also working on bringing Pelis (the prototype map) to life, so expect an update with new content soon!


Run Of Mydan 0.2.1.7

Here we go! Another update :)

- added lazy flight modes: you can now choose to fly just by rotating the hand rather than moving your whole arm in the direction to where you want to move.
- new completely overhauled version of the map Edylin
- fixed hand positioning bug for oculus players
- fixed issues with menu positioning during multiplayer sessions

Virtew is proud to announce another update for Run of Mydan.
In this update you'll have:

- loadout customization
- machine gun overheat (no spraying led anymore)
- multiplayer audio spatialization fix
- fixed map transition crashes in multiplayer
- added health and overheat indicators on both arms
- slight changes to the slow machine gun tracers
- added player name tags on lobby
- basic proximity checks upon respawn in multiplayer
- fixed issue where the counter would count two deaths instead of one if shot by two players
- implemented basic, but slightly smarter team assignment algorithm
- flight mode option so you can choose to fly by "pushing" or "pointing-in-direction"
- added settings in In-game pause menu
- changes to the flight speed
- added lobby options to change loadout and teams
- reordering of rank based on kills in deathmatch
- fix prolonged post process effect after death on clients
