Hello fellow runners! As you might have seen already, Run or Die is available on Android right now and off to a good start!

Run or Die Friendship Release and RunOrDieCade Competition Announcement

Hello fellow Runners!

It’s been quite some time...but I’ve been up to something. Well, up to the biggest Run or Die update yet. And More. A huge competition and a small video of me playing Run or Die with a Guitar Hero Guitar. (But I will get to that later). I feel like the game has come a long way since the beginning and that is why this version will be called:

The Run or Die Friendship Release

Thanks to your feedback, Run or Die has been changing bit by bit over the last year and got better and better. With the addition of Continue for Endless Mode, more map changes than I can count to make the maps more intuitive and more fun, Trading Cards and many quality of life improvements and bug fixes, it feels like you guys and I together made Run or Die a better game than I could have ever built on my own. Thank you. And to give something back, this update is a very special one.

So what does the Run or Die Friendship Release have in store for you? I always dreamt that Flows companions, the Doc and Mr Rumples, join her on her quest one day. And now they did!

  • The Doc and your favorite catdog Mr Rumples are now playable characters!
  • The Training Maps have been revamped
  • The Introduction got a bit easier
  • The Challenge Maps have been edited to be more forgiving in some locations
  • There is an option now to disable screen flashes
  • Several Bugfixes regarding controller support

I hope that you will have a ton of fun running through Alice City with those two. I certainly had while testing!

As a little surprise for you, I’ve searched for my old Guitar Hero Guitar and tried to beat Run or Die with it. Can’t be that hard right?! Over here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-cUE31xVGM

The RunOrDieCade Competition

Prizes:

1st Prize: A custom made Run or Die Arcade Cabinet

2nd and 3rd Prize: A Team Flow T-Shirt (Size S, M or L)

Rules:
Starting this Saturday for one week (30th of January to 6th of February), everybody who makes it into the Top 5 of a Daily Run and stays there until the end of that day (so everybody in the world no matter the timezone has had a chance to play on that day) has a chance to win a prize. If you make it into the Top 5 on two days, you have two chances, if you make it into the Top 5 on three days, you have three chances etc.
At the end of the week, winners will be decided by a random draw out of all the runners who made it into the Top 5 during the week! The winners will then be verified, announced and contacted.

Disclaimer:
Every player (Steam Account) is only allowed to enter the Daily Run once a day. Everybody who enters a Daily Run twice in one day will be disqualified. In case somebody gets disqualified, the 6th place runner will move up! In addition, I have put other measures in place to prevent people from cheating. If I have a suspicion that someone did cheat I will retain the right to disqualify that player without further reasoning. It might sound a bit harsh, but I do not want to run into any troubles and I will only make use of such measures if I really need to.
As this competition should be a fun time for you and for me and I cannot pay for any legal issues: If you decide to take part in this competition, you agree to not take any legal actions against me in any case in whatever way. Members of Team Flow are not allowed to take part in the competition.

I hope that you like the Run or Die Friendship Release and that many of you will participate in the competition! To conclude this announcement, Run or Die might have a huge discount starting this Saturday so your friends who haven’t got Run or Die yet can join you!

Give the Run or Die Friendship Release a thumbs up if you like it and feel free to comment if you have any questions or other feedback!

That’s all from me today. Have a nice day and keep on running,
Flo

Run or Die Steam Trading Cards available NOW!

Run or Die v1.14 Update - Map rebalancing!

Hello fellow Runners!

in todays Update we fix a few minor bugs and include touched up versions of over 60 (!) maps for the Endless Mode!

The map changes were made with new players in mind who are in the process of getting to know all the skills and might hit a brick wall (literally) right out of the gate. Apart from those changes, we did update some of the later maps as well in parts which we found to be a bit tricky to traverse in some situations!

As always: What do you guys think about v1.14? Please leave us a thumbs up or a comment down below with your thoughts!

P.S.: We have thoroughly tested this update, but if you encounter any issues, please head over to the forums and let us know!

Run or Die v1.13 Update - We all love lasers, right?

Hello fellow Runners!

First of all: You guys are awesome. We loved seeing more people reach the Lab after the Run,Die,Continue! Update!

With Update v1.13 we are continuing our efforts to make Run or Die more enjoyable and easier to get into for beginners while not taking away the challenge for advanced players.

Biggest part of this Update are Laser Map Balance Changes. We made the learning curve for Laser Maps a lot smoother while keeping the current level of challenge for the later maps! That way new Runners have more time to get accustomed to the laser mechanic. We sure hope that lasers become less scary now and that players slowly start to like (and maybe still hate them just a little bit) them like we do!

In addition, we tweaked some more Endless Maps regarding parts where randomness could potentially cause hard to manage situations.

The last thing we added is a pause in front of important parts in the Introduction so slow readers do have enough time to read before needing to react.

What do you guys think about v1.13? Please leave us a thumbs up or a comment down below with your thoughts!

P.S.: We have thoroughly tested this update, but if you encounter any issues, please head over to the forums and let us know!
