Lightning Aura Rework
OLD AND BUSTED
Gain an aura of lightning that strikes all enemies that spend 1 second in your aura with lightning that deals 15% spell damage. If an enemy is struck 3 times in a row, the third strike deals double damage and creates chain lightning that strikes up to 2 additional targets for 50% of the damage.

Gain an aura of lightning that strikes all enemies that spend 1 second in your aura with lightning that deals 40% spell damage and creates chain lightning that strikes between 1 and 3 additional targets for 50% of the damage.

4 New Crafting Items


Weapon Sigil - Increases the quality of a weapon by 1%, increasing its base damage by the same amount. Max 10% quality.
Armor Sigil - Increases the quality of armor by 1%, increasing implicit mod levels by 1. Max 10% quality.
Favored Weapon Sigil - Increases the quality of a weapon by 1%, increasing its base damage by the same amount. Max 20% quality.

Lock-On


Players can now lock-on to enemies. (Default: Mouse Thumb Button/Right Thumbstick Button)

Out of Combat Regeneration


Players and Companions now regenerate resources and cooldowns quickly while out of combat. No more need to stop and Meditate.

Crafting Inventory


A new special inventory has been added next to the normal inventory. This inventory can house any number of crafting items and features an Auto Transfer button to quickly move all crafting items from your normal inventory into the crafting inventory. This new inventory is account-wide and accessible by all characters. Crafting items can be transferred between each inventory by shift-clicking. A new binding has been added to the Input menu to transfer all items at a key press (default: Comma).

Action Bar Menu


You can now quickly set the skill in an action bar slot by right clicking the slot and selecting any of your available skills from the new menu.

Inspect


You can now inspect your allies' gear by right-clicking their party portrait and selecting the new Inspect option.

Universal Penance


Companions now use your Penance count

COMPANIONS


A new NPC, Vangela, has come to Town! She will help you create and manage Companions, new AI-controlled allies with all the same customization options as you. Create your perfect combat partner, or the perfect full squad!

Companion Customization

Companion AI


Companions are versatile allies capable of using:

  • Any skill, including Supers and defensive abilities like Block, Guard, Crimson Rush, Riposte, and Blinks
  • Health Flasks
  • Utility Flasks, with dynamic decision making based on current flask effects and combat situations (conservative during normal encounters, all-out during boss fights)
  • Dodge Rolls

Misc. Companion Info



  • You can use (Shift + 1/2/3/4) to quickly control new tabbed menus (Equipment, Talents, Flasks)
  • Companions in your party will scale up enemy health just as in normal multiplayer (about +80% additional health per ally)
  • Companions do not generate any additional loot, but they will pick up their own Health Flask, Utility Flask, and Super Orb drops
  • Magic Find on Companions has no effect, but it is effective to run Magic Find yourself and have your Companions do the killing
  • Companions will teleport to you on meditation or if they are far away when combat starts
  • Companions can be resurrected on death
  • Companions will attempt to resurrect you at the end of combat if necessary
  • You can toggle a Companion's aggression in Town by right-clicking on their party portrait. This only works while in Town.
  • All companions created by Hardcore characters will also be Hardcore. Hardcore characters can only recruit Hardcore Companions.

Binder will now display a floating flask over his head when you have Flask Points to spend.

Reduced the movement speed of ranged enemies.

Kharabad Boss
Modified slam attacks to now deal damage instantly in a small area when the slam hits, and increased the distance at which the line of explosions start to create a small safe zone around him. This changes the dodge timing for melee characters to be more intuitive (dodging the actual slam) instead of waiting for the delayed explosions.

Astaroth's Idol is now Astaroth's Endurance
Entangle with an allied target. While Entangled and within 1000 range, the Entangled ally gains Astaroth's Endurance, regenerating 5% of maximum health per second, reducing damage taken by 20%, and increasing Total Damage by 20%. Lasts for 8 seconds.

Sendatu's Crown Rework
Create an area that applies Brutality, Precision, Lethality, Haste, and Undying Will to allies in range. Lasts for 10 seconds.

Increased hitstop on all melee skills.

All Melee Heavy Combos been replaced with a single heavy attack. Damage multiplier increased from 2x to 2.5x. Removed Heavy Attack Vulnerability.
Dev note: The old heavy combo system was bad. "Don't use it or you'll die" bad. This new system is a great way to capitalize on hitstuns.
