Zamorak, Lord of Chaos - This Week in RuneScape

It's the day you have all been waiting for! Time to grab your swords and staves and take on the Lord of Chaos himself in the Legacy of Zamorak!

Are you ready to fight a God? Zamorak is lurking behind a protective shield in the Wilderness, trying to establish his own corrupted Edicts, and you need to stop him! Fight through the Zamorakian Undercity, use the portal to reach him and finish this - once and for all.

This is an experience built for anybody, from Story Mode with 90% damage reduction and safe deaths all the way up to near-unlimited Enrage Mode! Head in solo or as one of up to five players - the experience will scale with you and your team.

https://www.youtube.com/embed/8hJYBxi8XxU

For the first time, you can also earn some of the new rewards in Story Mode. Naturally, the rewards will be much less likely to drop and there will be significantly less loot overall, but this is a great way to build your experience and gain some cool stuff.

For the experienced boss-bashers, meanwhile, Normal Mode is the base experience of the fight - but if you really want a challenge, scaling Enrage (including in the new Elite Dungeon) is going to push you further than ever before!

You could earn rewards like the powerful T95 'Bow Of The Last Guardian', a glass cannon melee armour set 'The Vestments of Havoc', Slivers to enhance existing gear and much more!

To get started, enter Senntisten and take the crane lift down to the Zamorakian Undercity Elite Dungeon.

For the details on all possible rewards, head here.

To celebrate the launch of Zamorak: Lord of Chaos, we're making all deaths free for the next week across the game!

Free Deaths means absolutely no penalty when you die - you'll only be losing anything you consumed in the fight itself. If you've never bossed before, this is the perfect way to try it out.

Of course, the mighty Zamorak may still seem a little overwhelming, so why not try the Arch-Glacor in the Elder God Wars Dungeon to learn some bossing basics, mechanic by mechanic?

Free Deaths end on July 11th (remember, Zamorak's Story Mode always has free deaths. Just sayin’).

With the release of any major boss, it's always fun to see the best of the best battle it out for that all important first kill!

Zamorak's near-unlimited enrage system means this battle will be fought for many months - if not years - to come, as all you PvM maestros compete to be top of the leaderboard. But that first clear? That's the prize we all want.

Today, we're shining the spotlight on the biggest day one achievements with a special stream. We'll be watching for the World's First 100% Enrage across all team sizes and beyond!

Join us on Twitch.TV alongside the update launch and throughout the day as we commentate streamed attempts live, with special guest The RS Guy!

The Lord of Chaos Update also includes a brand new miniquest, continuing the story of Twilight of the Gods!

The Zamorak Boss Battle is included within the quest itself, and completion will require a single clear of Zamorak on any difficulty (which includes the easy-peasy Story Mode).

Start your adventure by talking to Adrasteia on the first floor of Falador Castle. It’s recommended you start the quest before facing Zamorak.

Tales of Pride - This Week in RuneScape

We’ve got lots of fantastic Pride Month updates this week, and a free birthday gift to celebrate one year of RuneScape on mobile! Plus, Prime Gaming goodies and more.

Pride Month is a time to celebrate love and LGBTQIA+ identity in all its forms. We're honoured to have such a diverse community playing RuneScape, and so this Pride Month, we want to honour YOU!

We're marking the occasion with a new mini-event expanding on the backstories of Gielinor's LGBTQIA+ characters. Tales of Pride sets you on a journey to discover seven unique stories, written by LGBTQIA+ members of the RuneScape team. through journals and conversations!

The tales will take a little sleuthing to find - they take the form of journals, lorebooks, and conversations, so keep your eyes peeled! Why not hop into your favourite community spaces and hunt them down with friends? Collecting all seven tales unlocks the 2022 Pride Banner that can be used in the weapon slot, as well as a rainbow-coloured variant of the Gators from Het's Oasis!

Stylish and practical!

Speak to the Curator in Burthorpe to collect your Magic Book and begin your adventure.

The event ends on June 30th, but the book will remain in the bookcase of your Player-Owned House for you to peruse year-round.

Happy Pride!

The LGBT Corner Clan have run a few Pride parades in RuneScape now, and they’ve always been a fabulous, fun show of solidarity, with thousands of LGBTQIA+ players and allies joining across multiple worlds. We’re pleased to announce that this year is no different!

The 2022 LGBT Corner Clan Parade will take place next week - so you've lots of time to pick up the 2022 Pride Banner to bring along! On the day, simply head to Lumbridge Castle on June 24th at 17:00 Game Time on World 24.

J-Mods from across Jagex will also be joining the celebration and handing out the special Pride Love Letter variant!

See you there!

Can you believe it's already been a year since RuneScape’s mobile launch? The platform has fast become a core part of the player experience, whether you're a mobile main or an occasional skiller on-the-go. In the last year we've launched a raft of updates – including dedicated Ninja Strikes – to further improve the platform, and we're pleased to announce that you've more to look forward to as we explore RuneScape on mobile's full potential.

To mark the one year anniversary, our team has put together a small gift package to show our thanks for a great year since launch. Head to the Marketplace on either desktop or mobile to claim the Mobile 1 Year Anniversary Gift Pack, including the Bullsmith Outfit (previously only available through new mobile Memberships), five Treasure Hunter Keys and one Small Knowledge Bomb (giving 50% Bonus XP for one hour).

  • Resolved several pagination issues in the Invention tutorial.
  • Bane weaponry modifiers now affect fixed damage as well as random damage, similiar to how Jas Demonbane and Dragonbane Arrows function. This brings them in-line with their tooltip and represents a slight buff to the level 60 Bane gear.
  • Added deployable dummies for other types of Bane target to War's Retreat.
  • Implemented a new version of the Varrock Dig Site.
  • Fixed an issue causing the 'removed coins from money pouch' message to be displayed twice when converting Bonds.
  • Changed the deployable dummies in Burthorpe to dummies that cannot fight back.
  • The deployable dummy in War's Retreat now has a toggleable 'retaliate' state.
  • Dying in War's Retreat is now a Safe Death and will revive the player automatically.
  • Tears of Guthix will no longer grant Invention experience if the Invention tutorial has not been completed.
  • Updated the fences in Burthorpe to look more up-to-date with our current visual style.
  • Mystery Eggs will now give out converted Spirit Ruby and Spirit Dragonstones, rather than the obsolete versions.
  • Fixed an issue causing Slayer ability icons to render over the combat UI on mobile.
  • Dialogues with Jimmy Dazzler and Hooknosed Jack are now more readable on mobile.

We’re back with our weekly update on Steamforged Games’ tabletop adventure, RuneScape Kingdoms: Shadow of Elvarg - coming to Kickstarter in one week!

Today, we are looking at exactly what’s included in each pledge level, and checking out the latest minis including the dragon knight, capes, Noob and Delrith.

Launching in just 8 days time on May 31st, this Kickstarter is your chance to support Steamforged Games and get your hands on loads of exclusive extras. But remember – it will only stay live for 10 days, so give it a follow now and don’t miss your chance!

As usual, there are multiple pledge levels to choose from. Full details and pricing can be found on Steamforged’s blog. For now though, let’s go over the basics!

Core Pledge

The Core Pledge includes RuneScape Kingdoms: Shadow of Elvarg and the Kickstarter-exclusive Culinaromancer Expansion!

This 15-hour replayable campaign comes with 16 detailed minis, including the Noob NPC and the Culinaromancer himself, plus over 400 cards.

On top of that, you’ll also get all the Kickstarter-exclusive cards unlocked through backer votes during the Kickstarter.

Psst - you may well have spotted TzTok-Jad in the pic above - see below for a close up!

Gameplay All-In Pledge

If you want all the gameplay content from the Kickstarter campaign, then this is the pledge for you! It includes the core RuneScape Kingdoms box and all four expansions, each themed around a unique boss. It’s a replayable 24-hour fantasy adventure packed into one great-value pledge – and you'll get all the Kickstarter-exclusive content, too!

Yes, that includes the King Black Dragon and TzKal-Zuk minis in the image above, plus additional minis including the Wise Old Man and other iconic NPCs.

Deluxe All-in Pledge (Kickstarter Exclusive)

Don’t wanna miss a thing? Then the Deluxe All-in Pledge will be right up your street. It’s packed with all the gameplay content so far and all the deluxe upgrades – so as well as your regular components, you’ll receive a neoprene game mat, four neoprene boss mats, wooden tokens, metal coins, and a set of special-edition dice, all of which are Kickstarter Exclusive. Don’t miss out!

Now, while you’re deciding which pledge is right for you, let’s take a look at this week’s featured minis ......

Mini Features: More Bosses, WOM, Noob and Dragon Knight (and Capes)!

Demon Slayer is the second campaign in the base game for Shadow of Elvarg, and it will bring you face-to-face with Delrith!

This dastardly demon nearly brought Varrock to ruin before he was slain by a brave hero. Now history is repeating itself, as the Dark Wizards outside of Varrock attempt to raise Delrith to wreak havoc anew!

Your band of brave adventurers will need to seek out Silverlight, the legendary sword said to have brought Delrith’s reign of terror to an end the first time. Can you stop the dark ritual before Varrock's old adversary is unleashed?

If you do defeat Delrith then your intrepid band will then come across Jad. Where does Jad come into the story of the board game, you ask? You’ll have to play to find out!

Truth be told, Jad may not be the most willing participant in this tale. Either way, you’ll need to outlast his rage to have any chance of facing the real villain of this story…

Whoah there, whoah there! No, the Wise Old Man isn’t the villain! He can help you defeat some of them, though. As a retired adventurer himself, he’s a formidable wizard and a powerful ally.

Available in the TzKal-Zuk Expansion, once on the board he can be enlisted to aid you during any of your campaigns, delaying rising danger and sharing ancient knowledge of questionable origins…

No RuneScape boardgame would be complete without a noob! With their default costume and features, this unedited starting character is an NPC you’ll run into during your adventures. Equipped with a rusty bronze longsword and a flimsy wooden shield, they might ask for your help to complete their beginner-level challenges. Will you lend your assistance, or just assume they’re a bot?

You will find the Noob in the Culinaroromancer Expansion.

Now more on your player avatars and less about Noobs. There should be a point in any game where you have achieved enough to don some swanky new duds. RuneScape Kingdoms: Shadow of Elvarg is no exception.

Yes, that’s right – every player avatar has an upgraded version (complete with a cape) to represent your progress in the game. For example, when the knight reaches a high enough level they’ll gain a full set of (legacy) Dragon Armour, new weaponry, and a hard-earned Fire Cape.

You might get a sneak peak of what these upgraded versions are for each player avatar if you look carefully at the tier reveal pics above - details to follow soon!

For more on the game, check out Steamforged’s weekly blogs. Last week they took a look at quests: how you get them, how you play them, and most importantly, how you complete them; later today they'll look at bosses!

You might also have spotted Mods Jack and Lenny playing through a digital demo of the game with our friends from Steamforged on a recent stream. If you missed it, you can catch up on YouTube!

Lastly, make sure to join the RuneScape Kingdoms Facebook Group . You’ll be among the first to see new cards and minis – plus, you’ll get all the latest news from the blog and have a direct line to chat with the developers about the game. Well worth the risk of stumbling upon Grandma’s minion memes.

We'll be conducting some essential maintenance on our systems during the month of May.

There will be some downtime on each of the systems as the modules are moved, but we expect this to be at most 30 minutes for each area affected! Here's a look at which systems will be impacted over the next month:

[th]Date and Time[/th][th]Potential Impact[/th][th]Approximate Downtime[/th]

May 25th - 10:00 BSTPayment systems unavailable.30 minutes

If you're already in-game during any maintenance impacting login or world-hopping, you should be able to continue playing with no problems - though we would advise avoiding any risky activity, just to be safe!

Stay tuned to @JagexSupport on Twitter for updates on each deployment.

Wednesday May 26th | 16:00 Game Time | DXP Skill & Chill

It's Double XP: LIVE! Hang out with a team of J-Mods as they skill up and chat RuneScape.

See you on Twitch!

DXP LIVE & Skilling Strike - This Week In RuneScape

We’re all about the skilling this week, with the return of Double XP LIVE and the introduction of new Proteans! The Ninjas are in on the game too, with loads of tweaks related to quality of life around skills. Time to get training folks...

Double XP LIVE is back – and with a brand new feature!

From May 20th-30th you’ll have a timer with 48 hours of boosted XP, which you can activate and deactivate to max your gains whenever and however you wish.

This time, though, you'll also be able to trade hours for credits! These can be spent on all sorts of useful items at Nic the Trader’s Store. It’s a great way to make the most of time you don’t intend to use! You can trade one hour of credit per day, so don't forget to log in every day to reap the benefits.

Oh, and while we’re talking skills – remember the new Fletching & Firemaking training we introduced earlier this month is a great skilling method after level 82!

For more details on how DXP Live works, including the new feature, check the blog.

Stock up for your DXP skilling sesh with Time To Train! We’re introducing a new set of Proteans – the stackable skilling item that rewards XP relative to your current skill level – in a new Time to Train for Cooking, Runecrafting and Herblore!

Runecrafting's Protean Runes can be used on altars to earn Runecrafting XP. You'll want to visit the highest level altar you have access to, as XP rates are based on the altar used.

Herblore's Protean Shakes can be used anywhere you mix a potion to earn Herblore XP, while Cooking's Protean Protein can be used on fires and ranges to earn Cooking XP.

Note: these items will only be available from Treasure hunter, and cannot be gained from Protean Packs for the time being.

Time to Train begins May 19th and ends on May 25th.

The Ninjas have struck just in time for 10 days of Double XP with a whole host of skilling-focused quality of life updates!

Highlights include:
  • Ironman players can now join teams with other Ironman players and train together in Dungeoneering!
  • The Dungeoneering multiplier has been reworked to be less punishing for solo players.
  • Herblore gets a whole lot friendlier to train at high levels with Overload GE sets and tradeable Extreme Combats.
  • Skilling Auras have been added to Aura Refreshers.

See the Patch Notes section below for full details!

Check out last week’s stream with Jamie and Russ from Steamforged as they walk Mod Raven and Mod Stu through the first campaign in the game.

Steamforged's Kickstarter starts on 31st May and will only run for 10 days, so sign up here and be the first to know when it goes live!

Steamforged’s latest blog is all about exploring Gielinor in RuneScape Kingdoms. Find out more about what you can do in the capitals and provinces of Asgarnia and Misthalin, and how to move around the fast travel game board.

Also, check out the first sight of Exploration Cards that are used to explore each kingdom, and two new minis!

Cower before the nightmare of Draynor Manor! This supernatural scourge is terrorising the inhabitants of Draynor Village. It’s down to you to put a stop to his bloodthirsty rampage in your first board game campaign.

(There are four campaigns in the RuneScape Kingdoms: Shadow of Elvarg core box, each with an iconic boss waiting for you at the end. That’s four unique bosses in the core box alone!)

Of course, there’s plenty to do in Asgarnia and Misthalin, so you may find yourself distracted from your goal. But if you spend too long ignoring the threat of Count Draynor, he’ll begin to roam further afield in search of prey, making your exploration progressively more dangerous…

When you do finally face the Count, make sure you’ve been instructed in how to take down a vampyre, and armed yourself with a stake. Otherwise, you might not survive to tell the tale!

But let’s not worry about that for now. Instead, let’s say hello to mini number two: the clue hunter!

What if you’re not drawn to combat, or skilling? What if you heard the call of ‘fashionscape’ and thought, 'I’m into it'? If any of these are true, the clue hunter player avatar is for you!

Equipped with Old School Runescape's Staff of Bob the Cat and dressed in the Sandwich Lady outfit, the clue hunter is designed to represent someone just starting out on a fashionscape journey.

And with that, we’ve met all five player avatars! Or, the low level ones, at least. But more on that another time…

Join the RuneScape Kingdoms Facebook Group to keep up to date on the latest weekly blogs on how to play the game, reveals new cards and minis and chat directly with Steamforged’s devs about the game.

We'll be conducting some essential maintenance on a variety of our systems during the month of May.

There will be some downtime on each of the systems as the modules are moved, but we expect this to be at most 30 minutes for each area affected! Here's a look at what systems will see some impact over the next month:

[th]Date and Time[/th][th]Potential Impact[/th][th]Approximate Downtime[/th]

May 16th - 10:00 BSTUnable to log in or world hop (Old School & RuneScape).30 minutes

May 17th - 10:00 BSTUnable to log in or world hop (Old School & RuneScape).30 minutes

May 25th - 10:00 BSTPayment systems unavailable.30 minutes

If you're already in-game during any maintenance impacting login or world-hopping, you should be able to continue playing with no impact - though we would advise avoiding any risky activity, just to be safe!

Stay tuned to @JagexSupport on Twitter for updates on each deployment.

    • Everyone in the party must be an Ironman, Ironwoman, Hardcore Ironman or Hardcore Ironwoman.
    • XP sharing can't be toggled on.
  • The Dungeoneering multiplier, which was based on difficulty, has been made fairer towards solo or small parties.

Farming

  • Increased the range in which you can interact with Player Owned Farm paddocks. You may now interact with the paddock gate instead of trying to click the small, moving, NPCs.
  • The 'Teleport' option on tool leprechauns has been replaced with 'note produce'.
    • You may still teleport to vinesweeper by talking to the leprechaun.
  • Noted produce can now be added to compost bins.

  • The 'Fletch any type of arrows or arrow shafts' daily challenge now counts when cutting zygomites. The 'Light any logs or add them to a bonfire' does not count when drying zygomites, as they're incapable of 'making like a tree and getting outta here'!
  • Repositioned the clickzone for Bill's mystical tree over its treetop rather than its stump, to solve an issue where it got in the way when selecting troughs for dinonomnoms.
  • The crystal knife (5% chance to double shafts when Fletching) now applies and does not degrade when carestyling zygomites.
    • Fletching animation overrides now override the carestyling animation when Fletching, or otherwise holds a crystal knife if one is equipped.
    • Changed the token XP when feeding baby dinos from troughs back from Agility to Farming, in response to further player feedback.

  • The Dwarven Harvester now correctly doubles the yield of herbs when a Herb bag is in the player's inventory.
  • The Ophidian Incubation scroll now correctly turns Raven Eggs into Coraxatrice Eggs.
  • The title 'All of a flutter' no longer incorrectly appears as unlocked for all players.

Mental Health Awareness - This Week in RuneScape

We've got new bundles to support our charity partners for Mental Health Awareness Week, plus another tantalising boardgame update and news about upcoming downtime sessions that will keep everything ship-shape!

Each year, we take a moment during World Mental Health Awareness to pause and reflect on our mental health – how we might improve it, and better support one another.

There are some amazing organisations out there helping those in need, and every year the RuneScape community blows us away with support for our partner charities!

This time around, there are even more ways to bolster the amazing work of CPSL Mind and RAD, two of our charity partners who specifically focused on Mental Health – and grab some goodies in the process.

2 New MHAW Bundles

  • Power Bundle* - 250 RuneCoins
    • Rock of Resilience (+15 Charges for the Rock)
      • The Rock of Resilience provides a 4% experience boost for 60 minutes and a 2% experience boost for other players nearby.

RuneCoin Donations

RuneScape fans often go above and beyond even our grandest expectations in their support for others and for charities. To support those who want to give more than the bundles allow, we've set up a repeatable donation package of 50 RuneCoins for those who wish to use it.

While this package doesn’t provide any in-game items or benefits, you will receive the title 'the Resilient' with your first donation through this pack as a thank you for your thoughtful, generous gift to charities in need of your support.

Our charity partners

Proceeds from the sale of the Power Bundle, Cosmetic Equipment Bundle, previous MHAW cosmetics and any Runecoin Donations will support two of our charity partners who focus specifically on mental health: CPSL Mind and RAD. Here’s a reminder of the valuable work they do.

CPSL MIND

CPSL Mind provides support to individuals experiencing mental health problems in the Cambridge and Peterborough area, where Jagex is based. Their STOP Suicide campaign aims to prevent suicide by raising awareness and giving ordinary members of the public the skills and confidence they need to help those at risk.

RAD

Rise Above the Disorder (RAD) began as one gamer's mission to overcome depression and has turned into a massive worldwide community aiming to make mental health care available to everyone, everywhere. RAD provides entirely free mental health services to gamers through its grant program and has helped over 28,000 people find the hope and happiness they deserve.

By now we expect you’ve seen the news – we’ve partnered with Steamforged to bring the magical world of Gielinor to the tabletop in RuneScape Kingdoms: Shadow of Elvarg!

Steamforged are releasing weekly blogs in the build up to their Kickstarter on May 31st. Tune in to learn all about how to play the game, and be among the first to see new cards and minis!

The latest blog gives first sight of the player character sheet, covers how skilling works in the game and reveals the latest player avatar mini – the archer.

When danger strikes, the archer ensures no foe gets close enough to pose a threat! Completing the melee, magic, and ranged combat triangle, the archer gives you a full selection of combat-focused minis to choose from.

Inspired by early-game ranged gear, archers are equipped with a Shortbow and Bronze Arrows. Like their weapons, their Leather Body, Chaps, and Boots are cheap and easy to come by — ideal for someone just beginning their journey in RuneScape Kingdoms.

Steamforged's Kickstarter will only run for 10 days, so sign up here and be the first to know when it goes live!

'Accidental' Fletching & Firemaking Training - This Week In RuneScape

Anachronia gets a skilling update this week, and Vic the Trader is back in Burthorpe! Plus, we’ve got Kickstarter dates for the RuneScape boardgame – and that all-important box art reveal...

This update brings new training methods for a couple of under-served skills. Firemaking and Fletching, it’s your time to shine!

The action takes place down on Anachronia Farm, where Prehistoric Potterington is embarking on a new project to rustle up high-yield fertiliser. She’s making use of the area’s stinkiest (and most distressingly abundant) resource: huge dollops of fragrant dinosaur doo-doo!

Hold your nose to hit the new training stations and you could score some fantastic fletching components and lots of lovely XP. Plus, you’ll have the chance to create best-in-slot T95 arrows and imbue them in one of four ways, making awesome Elder God Arrows with specific combat effects. It’s the perfect preparation for the upcoming T95 Bow, arriving with the fifth Elder God boss this summer!

To get started, visit Prehistoric Potterington and ask her about zygomites to begin this update's tutorial. You’ll need the following:
  • At least 82 Fletching or Firemaking (95 is required to engage with all of the content).
  • Completion of Elder God Wars: Extinction

Anachronia is a members-only area, so make sure your subscription is up to date!
For all the poo-ey details, check the blog: https://rs.game/mayskilling

Vic The Trader is back in Burthorpe for two weeks from May 3rd! Trade your Bonus XP for XP lamps, skilling outfits and other goodies.

It's an easy way to stock up on essentials, so be sure to visit Vic before he leaves Burthorpe on May 16th!

Steamforged’s Kickstarter will only be live for 10 days, so be sure to follow the campaign or you might miss out…

And if that's not enough, Steamforged are also revealing another mini! Last week we got a first look at the knight and the wizard, plus the mighty Elvarg herself. Today, we say hello to the skiller! Check 'em out:

Patch Week 25/04 - This Week In RuneScape

We can finally reveal the name for the RuneScape board game – and show you some gorgeous minis! We've also given Extinction a few tweaks and fixes, so watch out for spoilers in the Patch Notes…

Hopefully you’ve heard the news about our partners Steamforged bringing Gielinor to tabletop – and we hope that you’re as excited as we are! Well we've now got a name – and we can reveal the first three minis!

Introducing RuneScape Kingdoms: Shadow of Elvarg, a cooperative campaign board game for 1-5 players, set in the fantasy world of Gielinor!

Explore from above with a game board styled like a fast-travel map, jumping from region to region as you level up your skills and complete quests. Zoom in for face-to-face encounters with iconic bosses that become even tougher as you work your way toward the final quest!

Every group member can play their way, maxing skills to level up and earn those all-important Capes.
Now, about those minis… Steamforged have developed a unique mini style for RuneScape Kingdoms inspired by iconic versions of outfits, NPCs and bosses from the past 21 years. This look is inspired by RuneScape's low-poly roots, but with all the detail you’d expect in a modern mini. We can’t wait to get our hands on ‘em!

Mobile Strike - This Week in RuneScape

The Ninjas are back with another strike, and this time, they're honed in on some much requested changes for Mobile! There's also a brand new Prime Gaming drop hitting this Tuesday and the return of our RuneScape Livestreams on Wednesday!

This week the Ninjas have turned their attention to some hotly requested UI improvements for Mobile!
Highlights from this Strike include:
  • Improvements to 'child windows', such as Inventory screens and popups. You should find these windows more responsive when dragging and interacting.
  • UI icon updates to make Prayer more distinguishable in the ribbon – plus, we’ve added icons for Prayer and Summoning points in the Combat Bar for clarity.
  • You can now have the right action buttons always visible regardless of screen size. Previously this option was only available on tablets.

Check Patch Notes for the full slate of improvements!

Once again our friends at Prime Gaming have got some fantastic rewards for you! These will be available from April 19th to May 17th, so make sure to grab yours.
This month's drop contains 5 XP-boosting Knowledge Bombs and the Umbral Templar cosmetic outfit!

Mobile Ninja Strike Patch Notes

Top-level Mobile Interface

  • The right-hand menu is now fixed, and can no longer be customised.
  • Windows (such as Backpack) have been reduced in size to use up less screen space, and their contents (such as Backpack slots) have been reduced in size slightly.
  • Updated border added to the right-hand child windows and minimap.
  • Header added to access desktop's footer buttons (e.g. Currency Pouch).
  • Footer added to each child window, displaying the single most prominent button and an info display (e.g. Currency Pouch and Coins).
  • Hardcoded tab support has been added, which is utilised by mobile Ability Books.
  • The icon for the Prayer book has been updated to look closer to the desktop icon instead of a book, to avoid confusion between three book icons.
  • The icons for the Summoning and Prayer Point displays have been improved, more clearly indicating which is which.
  • A new setting has been added into Gameplay Settings → Interfaces → UI Customisation to make the right-hand combat buttons always visible.
    • If enabled, windows such as the Backpack may have a scrollbar when combat mode is active.
    • Taller screens such as tablets will display the right-hand buttons and a full size window if there is enough space, regardless of this setting.
    • Many players wanted this to never scroll, and many wanted to always have access to combat abilities. Now, the choice is yours!

  • A long-press option has been added to the Chat Modes button.
    • This provides quick access to switching between chat modes without needing to access the Chat Settings interface.

  • The Loot window has been moved from the centre of the screen, and is now towards the top-left.
    • Opening the Chat panel closes the Loot window.
    • Opening the Loot window while the Chat panel is open will allow both to be open together.

Cross-Platform Improvements

  • The red font used in warning messages has been changed to a lighter colour, as the darkness often contrasted poorly with the game world.
  • The Worn interface Aura slot now has a graphic indicating it access settings when an aura is not active.
  • The Notes interface has been improved, with the desktop window now resizing correctly and both platforms having backgrounds for each entry.

General Mobile Improvements

  • Drag responsiveness has been improved.
  • The mouseover highlight when dragging an item in the Inventory is now available on mobile.

General Patch Notes

Easter

  • Removed the catch success animation for the Giant Guthixian Butterfly to help improve performance on worlds with a high population count.

Elder God Wars

  • It's now possible to return to the Seren dialogue before Phase 3 of the Extinction quest.

User Interface

  • Fixed the overlapping sections of the Player-Owned Farm noticeboard interface.

Others

  • Players will no longer be told that they cannot play Treasure Hunter when leaving an active dungeoneering dungeon.
  • TzKal-Zuk's 'Immune' hitmark now shows in the correct language when using non-English clients.
  • Fixed an issue where the Superglass Make spell was requiring the As A First Resort quest rather than the Dream Mentor quest to be unlocked.
  • The Aura Management interface will no longer direct you to buy Auras from the Loyalty Store if they are only available in Wars Retreat.
