<*> Reworked jumping. You now have 2 jumps with a shorter cooldown in between.
<*> New VFX associated with wall slding.

RunVR 1.06

<*> You can now jump off of walls you are wall running by using the jump button.
<*> Grabbing/wall running counts as touching the floor for your jump cooldown.
<*> Added Giga-size option. For players that want an easier time grabbing/throwing themselves across levels or if they're physically too short. Highscores are disabled while giga-size is on.
<*> Reworked some earlier levels to have more hazards.
<*> Added double jump tutorial.
<*> You can now exit out of levels by holding 3 buttons for 4 seconds.

<*> Workshop added to the game. You can now upload folders containing levels.
<*> Giles in game Level editor added to the game. You can now create/edit levels and save them in to a json format. Remember to take off your headset when using the level editor.
<*> Fixed fast falling occurring if you grabbed something while fast falling.
<*> Mostly fixed getting stuck in waist high ground.
<*> Fixed twisting your hand causing you to fall.

Another update for you all this week! Notable changes:

  • Modified movement values, most notable, gravity’s scale and thrusting force, causing faster falls and more exaggerated throws.
  • Systematic improvements to player collision so that edge collisions will reconcile cleaner.
  • Running into objects will not trigger the ‘invisible force’ as easily.
  • Throwing yourself on top of areas should be easier.
  • Added a blob shadow for the headset. Shows where you will land.
  • Added an interface to change audio levels.
  • Minor revisions to some levels.

1.03a

Small update this week and next week. Updating the quality of life of the levels rather than adding more content. Coins added as a collectible. It'll show up in the high scores.

1.03 Level 11


  • Added checkpoints throughout levels. If you die you'll re-spawn at your last checkpoint.
  • Replaced the default skybox from levels.
  • Added level 11 as the final level for this world. Includes more hazards than a normal level would.

1.02 Bouncy Levels


  • Removed alternative jump controls. You can now jump exclusively with the menu button.
  • Added two new bouncy levels.
  • Reworked level1 and earlier tutorial levels to be easier.
  • Reworked the advanced levels significantly.
  • Added credits to the opening level.
  • Unlocked levels now have green text.

First Patch


    <*>Added new feature of loading in to the correct position. Starting RunVR again will load you into the HUB world if you already entered the HUB world.
    <*>Entering the HUB world again will position you in front of the level you just exited.
    <*>Added VFX for climbing/wall running.
