DEVOLVER DIGITAL AND DEEP SILVER BRING MORE WANG TO SHADOW WARRIOR
Developers Flying Wild Hog and Volition, along with the publisher illuminati of Devolver Digital and Deep Silver, are excited to announce an unprecedented cross promotion between Shadow Warrior and Saints Row IV. Through this groundbreaking show of absurdity, owners of Saints Row IV on Steam will unlock the legendary ‘Penetrator’ weapon in Flying Wild Hog’s reimagined Shadow Warrior as a powerful-but-elegant alternative to the traditional katana. Yep, read that again.
“I’m sorry I can’t really hear you over the sound of all that money being thrown at screens around the world,” said Fork Parker, Devolver Digital CFO. “And I don’t know what to tell you other than you can now wield a giant purple dildo from Saints Row IV in Shadow Warrior. There’s your headline, nerds.”
Again, not sure what else to tell you all that hasn’t been summed up already. If you own Saints Row IV on Steam and purchase Shadow Warrior, you can literally use the big purple Penetrator in place of a katana in Shadow Warrior to sever the heads off of demons. We know, and yet we can’t really believe it ourselves.
Shadow Warrior is set to launch via Steam for PC on September 26, 2013. Saints Row IV is currently available for Steam, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

Announcing the New Deep Silver Volition Super-Powered Community Support Team!
We understand that the most important resource we have is our fans. While Jeffrey Strike (Deadly Cyclone) has done a fantastic job in helping us out with moderating the forums on his personal time, we realize that there is still a pressing need for broader technical support and even more communication with our community. In order to provide our players with the best possible experience, we have formed a new super powered support team. Our primary goal is to interact with the community in order to identify and fix any ongoing issues, as well as provide the very best support to our customers. We will also make an effort to communicate what's going on behind the scenes with the status of bug fixes and patches, and keep the community up to date.
So, let's meet the team!
Mike Watson ([V] IdolNinja) – Community Manager – Mike has a long history of modding the Saints Row games and brings with him a deep understanding of how our games work. He also has over 10 years of experience in IT support management, and is a long-time moderator of the saintsrowmods.com forum which currently boasts over 67,000 members.
Maurice Tan (Professor Pew) – Deep Silver International Community Manager – Maurice works on every title Deep Silver publishes, which is why he hasn't been around enough on the forums lately! (Sorry! -- Maurice) He makes sure that whenever fans ask for something on forums or social media, someone at Deep Silver will hear about it over and over again.
Ben Brenner – Saints Row IV QA Lead – Ben has worked on the Saints Row franchise since Saints Row 2. His forum experience includes forum moderator for several Shareplay games from 1996 to 2002. He also helped moderate forums on Red Faction Armageddon.
Brendon Ellis (VEllix) – Technical Audio Support – Brendon is an audio bugfixer on Saints Row IV, and was an audio tester on Saints Row: The Third and Red Faction Armageddon, and a gameplay tester on Saints Row 2 and Red Faction Guerrilla. He’s lurked the Saintsrow.com forums since Saints Row: The Third’s release, occasionally posting when he felt helpful, but now he’ll be taking a more focused initiative to assist.
Christina Kniskern (Cirose) – QA Tester – Christina has been at Volition since 2008 and has worked on Saints Row 2, Red Faction: Armageddon, Saints Row: The Third, Saints Row IV and DLC. Her focus has been on Audio and Gameplay testing but she also has experience in most other areas. She’s been around the forums but not in an official capacity until now.
Derek Wade (VUncleSam) – PC QA Tester – Derek has been working on Saints Row 4 since early March. He has several years of experience moderating forums for various communities in competitive semi-pro and casual settings for games such as Crysis 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Call of Duty 2 and more. (Lots of 2’s!)
Ryan Mansfield (VRyan) – QA Tester – Ryan has worked on games for both the Saints Row and Red Faction franchises. He has also spent several years assisting in moderating forums and Twitch channels for MLG. With time on each platform, he has spent the majority of his time on Saints Row IV as part of the UI team.
You may notice certain support threads and subforums being moved or expanded while we attempt to sort everything out. We have a lot of work ahead of us, but we are all deeply committed to making sure that everyone can enjoy our games. You deserve nothing less.
Thank you!
