With this, players can now right-click explosives, pistons, and thrusters, causing them to be exploded, extended, and powered on respectively!

Explosives:

Piston:

We are also including a nature and particle block pack that is fully modifiable to make any level look a ton nice. Based on these new models the first four campaign levels were redesigned and the help text improved.

Particle blocks:

With many of you requesting a way change maps during multiplayer games we just had to implement the feature.

We still have many features on the way, but this update brings so much content and functionality, it will bring plenty of joy to anyone who plays. We are still looking for suggestions or bugs you may encounter when playing, letting us know your thoughts during early access can help us make this game perfect for you and others! Let us know how you feel about this update and get Sandboxing!

V0.9.0 Beta - Game Release Build!

After many long months of hard work, we believe the game is at a point of stability. With many features improved upon, and more objects added to the game! The initial release of Sandbox Anything will include a 20% off discount, for those who are ready to dive into all the fun! Currently, our latest build is under review by Steam to make sure everything follows suit. If there are no problems, we will release soon after we receive an okay!

Game Update:
We added many QOL changes, and many features that should just be a part of every game. This included very simple UI for selecting workshop maps in Multiplayer, and increasing / adjusting fonts/texts and grammar for in-game text. MANY bugs have been found and terminated! We also have added new items to the level editor making the ultimate creative building space.

Note: There more than likely will be small bugs you will run into, as we can't test every possible way to play the game with only 2 developers. That being said, if you run into any that don't seem like they belong, be sure to let us know in a discussion on Steam.
Otherwise, we are hopefully as excited as you are, and can't wait for feedback at release! We want to hear all of your comments! There are high chances that if you have feature ideas, we might get them implemented into Sandbox Anything, so let us know and we'll do our best!

Thanks for being patient while we build this masterpiece for everyone!

Level Editor Addition - Lot's of bugs fixed

Today I wanted to bring to light how close the project has come, and the idea of launch is becoming reality. With lots of game-play testing, it has improved dramatically over the last few weeks. Along with better game-play, we like to introduce new features as well!

Campaign Leaderboards
The ideal of leaderboards have our sights for future plans, possibly including weekly challenge maps, that players earn prizes! So look out for that!
This Feature Includes:

  • World Records - Included for each level, try to be the best!
  • Friends Records [WIP] - Compete against friends times for bragging rights!
  • Personal Records - Try to get better the second time through!

Sadly steam has leaderboard limitations, so we are unable to incorporate their built in leaderboards into every ones custom workshop maps.

Level Editor Update

  • Now can update depth of the objects, meaning the scene can have multiple layers.
  • Added "Colored" Items, of varied shapes, can now create any colored object you want!
  • Bug fixes, squashed!

There has also been various small QOL updates here and there, like adding a general volume and so on... We are working to perfect this game every day! Stay tuned for more updates and a possible release date. Currently hoping to publish before New Years! Thank you for staying along side us while we develop!

The games trailer now has structure, time to get to work!

Multiplayer and Level Editor Update

Sandbox Anything has come a long way from its origin. Where initially it was only a small single-player game, it is now focused on customization and creativity with the ability to create your own maps within the new Level Editor. From there, you can share it in the workshop with other players, so they can play the maps you've made! On top of that, Multiplayer is functionality is nearly ready, just fixing little UI bugs to have a nice release version!

LEVEL EDITOR
Includes:

  • Precise editing of objects
  • All in-game objects at the player's disposal
  • Mass editing of objects
  • Playtesting - to see if your map is playable
  • Save/Load of your creations
  • Sharing of creations through the workshop

MULTIPLAYER
Includes:

  • Lobby system to join others
  • Select from locally created maps or those subscribed to the workshop
  • Player dragger distinction
  • Working In-game chat system
  • Kick feature for unwanted guests

This was just a general update on just some of the background work we have been accomplishing. Thanks for taking the time in reading, we are excited to publish this game to see what creations others will make! Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to launch, and don't forget to follow Sandbox Anything to get updates like these!

P.S. A comprehensive trailer will hopefully be created shortly to show what the gameplay would look like! Stay tuned!
