A new demo version Story Demo has been released, allowing players to experience the introductory section of the critically-acclaimed story from the point of view of the dual protagonists, Yuito Sumeragi and Kasane Randall.
Players can play through to Phase 2 of the story from the full game. Save data from the Story Demo can then be carried across to the full retail version, allowing you to pick up where you left off and also unlock special bonus content as well.
Some elements in Story Demo are restricted, and differ slightly from the full retail version. Additionally, since the bonus content is the same as content unlocked from carrying save data from Demo Edition, players who have already acquired this content will not be eligible to acquire it for a second time.
For the Steam® version, the Demo Edition and the Story Demo are available as a single download. Either can be selected at startup, and both are available to be played.
The items obtainable as bonus content can also be obtained in the full retail version by making your way through the story.
The free-to-play Story Demo is highly recommended for anyone who has yet to give SCARLET NEXUS a try!
SCARLET NEXUS Story Demo Release: Special Interview with Miyajima Takumi
Scenarist Miyajima Takumi, known for her work on the TALES OF series, has sat down and talked on her ambitions and inner stories of SCARLET NEXUS' world and scenario.
SCARLET NEXUS newest free upgrade is available today, it brings a new story mode difficulty: “Very Easy”, aimed at players who want less challenge or want to focus on the intricate story of SCARLET NEXUS.
Teaming up with another JRPG; this upgrade also welcomes new objects from BANDAI NAMCO’s critically acclaimed game Tales of Arise, players can now bring the adorable Hootle and other elements with them on all their future adventures.
And for players who have yet to join the Other Suppression Force, a new story demo is coming soon with the first few chapters of the game and the possibility to keep the save data after purchasing the game.
The “Brain Eater Pack”, 3rd and final DLC of the Season Pass, adds more story content with Episode Karen: Unknown History. Taking place in 1996 in the SCARLET NEXUS’ world, players can witness the lost history of Karen Travers through 4 cutscene episodes unlocked by overcoming challenges. Recall a lost history, that no one but Karen himself knows, from his own perspective.
Among these challenges, the player will have to face a new enemy in the Vision Simulator, introduced in the last update. It is advised to finish both campaigns before taking on this DLC, as the episodes contain spoilers, revealing his true motive.

the "Guardian Attire Set" based on Karen’s outfit by concept artist Tamami Ishikawa. Enjoy the majestic and dignified piano-black themed costumes, specially designed for the best psionics out there.
the "Heir Attire Set" by Masakazu Yamashiro, designer of the monsters roaming New Himuka, incorporated with the themes of ancient ethnic costumes in SCARLET NEXUS' world.
Also incorporated in the 3rd DLC, is a new plugin “Status Aliment Resister” directly unlockable from the shop, adding a twist to your next battles.
The incredibly powerful enemy, “Shadow of the Recording“, is appearing in a new mission in the Vision Simulator! Will you stand a chance against him as he makes an onslaught on you with unfair attacks you've never seen before...? Get rare attachments by scoring an S rank in the mission! To defeat this enemy, it is essential to improve your stats by leveling up, unlocking new actions by increasing the bond level, and increasing the powers of your party members by obtaining powerful weapons and plug-ins.

The New Photo Mode
Play around with the whole-new "Photo Mode" to capture the best moments in the game! Multiple camera options are made available, allowing you to take your favorite photos at the convenience of a button press, any time while exploring the world of SCARLET NEXUS. You can capture and save photos not only during gameplay, but also at your favorite moments during cutscenes.
"Very Hard" Difficulty and New Challenges
For those who want more challenging gameplay, set the game's difficulty to the new "Very Hard" mode and face-off enemies with even more powerful attacks. On top of that, for those who are in search of an ultimate challenge, try out the new Challenge missions and get extremely rare rewards, only if you can…

『New Paid DLC Pack 2 and free update 1.05 Deployed!』
The “Bond Enhancement Pack 2” DLC brings 10 new bond episodes to the game unlocking the super-state “Nexus Drive” to upgrade SAS abilities. Each character’s SAS will gain new effects the player will have to master, adding complexity to the game’s combat, such as attack ranges and SAS gauge recovery or consumption speed.
[previewyoutube="AtD9b0dFhrI;full"] Players can showcase their newly acquired skills all over New Himuka wearing the stylish collaboration with artist Daisuke Richard, offering a new fresh set of costumes and weapons, the “Youth Attire” set. In addition to the new DLC, a free upgrade brings a new feature called “Vision Simulator” allowing the player to rematch bosses fought in the main story and challenge missions with an adjustable difficulty level. Difficulty will include “Beginner”, “Novice” and “Master”. The highest difficulty, “Master”, will provide a more challenging and engaging experience to test the players skills after completing the main story.
4 new Others variations are added to the game, each with a unique added traits the players will have to understand, counter and defeat. The shop will welcome new challenges, costumes, and items via the free upgrade.
