Its primary fire sends out a single powerful shot that can kill most demons in one hit while its secondary fire has been “cooked up” so that it bounces and explodes 3 times, meaning you can deal a scalding blow to up to three targets 🔥

According to legend, each disc of the Bow Blade was handcrafted by the Divine Creator themself, as only they had the sacred power and knowledge required to forge a blade with an edge sharp enough to slice through the skin of demons. This is said to be the reason why ammo for the Bow Blade is so scarce and highly prized among enforcers.

A trip to Hell would simply be incomplete without a meaty shotgun to sink your teeth into!
The Ripper is a double barrel shotgun that packs a serious punch 💥
Use its primary fire to tear chunks out of sturdier foes or strategically place proximity mines using its secondary fire for crowd control when faced with the hordes of the damned.

Only the strongest and holiest enforcers may lay their hands upon the Ripper. Brimming with runic energy, its exterior is so hot to the touch that it will scald the skin of the unworthy. Unlike our last deep dive, where we looked at mini-boss Thrash, in this deep dive we'll be taking a closer look at one of the fully fledged bosses in Scathe 🔥

Winding her way through the air and terrorising the skies of the underworld, Oxide ranks as one of the Guardians of Hell that must be defeated if you ever hope to escape the wretched maze.
Oxide depends on her unique environment to outmanoeuvre her foes, utilising the various pipes in the walls to hide from enemy fire and then emerging later to ambush her prey. With buzzsaws embedded into her jaws and hyper-fire cannons attached to her sinewy body, she represents a powerful enemy that should not be underestimated. Aim for her soft spots if you hope to be victorious.

Known as the Engine of Hell, Oxide is one of the driving forces keeping the flames of the underworld alive. It has even been said that the kinetic energy she produces from her perpetual movement is what powers her section of the infernal labyrinth. She is cursed to writhe and twist her way forward in a never-ending loop for as long as the walls that surround her still stand.

🔥🔨 Hammer Your Way Through Hell 🔨🔥
Get ready to pack some heat 🔥
Today we'll be starting off a series of deep dives into the weapons of Scathe, where we'll be taking a closer look at their stats and the lore behind how they were forged.
Your first intrepid steps into the infernal labyrinth will bring you to the Hell Hammer, your starting weapon. Your initial survival will depend upon your ability to use it. Spray a barrage of bullets with your primary fire or blast your enemies to bits with the rocket launching secondary fire.
Damage: 22 (except for headshots) Accuracy: Inaccurate (spread approximately 10%) Primary Fire: Machine Gun (Auto) Secondary Fire: Rocket Launcher
The Hell Hammer was smelted from the metal spines of Razorbacks and forged in the fiery kilns of the underworld itself. The runes engraved on its side reference an ancient saying, which reads: “I shall rend their flesh to make my hammer, so that each mighty blow of it may echo with their suffering.”

👹 You're About to Get Thrashed 👹
Get ready fellow enforcers, because you're in for one Hell of a deep dive! 😈
Today's post marks the first in an upcoming series we have planned, where we'll be talking in-depth about the demons of Scathe. From their powerful signature attacks to their enigmatic lore, we'll be looking at the background behind these ferocious brutes.
Since we recently released our updated demo, which contains our brutal mini-boss fight, it felt only fitting to start off this series with a deep dive into Thrash! 👹
Towering in over all other demons, Thrash’s colossal stature approaches that of the Guardians themselves. He defends his quarters with a ferocity nearly unmatched in the hostile labyrinth of the underworld. The blast from his twin cannons will keep you at a distance but, should you dare to approach too close, he’ll crush you into a fine paste with his deadly ground pound.

Secondary Attack: Ground pound
A powerful troll hybrid whose ancestry is shrouded in mystery, Thrash reigns supreme amongst his demonic brethren. He channels his unholy wrath into powerful attacks using the cannons that were grafted onto his arms by Sacrilegious.

🔥 Fired Up at PAX East 🔥
We brought the hellfire and the brimstone to PAX East this year 🔥
Alongside showcasing our updated demo, we also hosted our own speedrunning competitions across 3 days of the event and gave out the deliciously demonic Scathe pins that were made by Pinny Arcade 💀
For all of our enforcers that were unable to make it to the event, we're here to bring the explosive action to you and to share some of our haunting highlights.
The response we received on our updated demo warmed our black little hearts and brought a smile to our twisted faces 🖤
The only major obstacle we faced was the queue, which kept growing longer and longer every hour of each day. Who knew so many people were so keen to get through the Gates of Hell 😏
Our speedrunning competitions represented a brutal challenge, with each record being broken as quickly as it was set 🏃
As a result, we're now happy to welcome three new Champions of Hell!
Chris, Isaiah, and Christian emerged victorious and will each receive a free copy of Scathe on release. Christian's staggering time of 1 minute and 33 seconds remains the world record 😱
