3.23 FTUE Release Notes
New Tutorial:

  • Embark on a new adventure with your newly-created Viking as you meet Hiccup, Toothless, and Astrid for the first time as you enroll to be a legendary Dragon Trainer!
  • Only Vikings created after (enter Date here) will have access to this new adventure. Vikings made before this date will have to progress through the original tutorial and tutorial quests.
  • Expansion Quests have been moved from the Headmaster's list of available quests to dedicated Expansion Quest Boards you can find scattered around Berk. Find one, and you can begin or continue any of your expansions at any time!


General:

  • We have performed some landscaping on Hobblegrunt Island; Improvements on terrain and overall texture quality
  • New nests have been added to the Hatchery.
  • Fixed an issue where some users would experience a crash when launching the app
  • Adjusted the camera during a wall climbing section of the Curse of the Hobgobbler Expansion where the camera would move erratically while climbing on the wall
  • Patched a visual issue with Ruffrunner's model where the eye meshes would be visible where they shouldn't be visible

FRIENDSHIP IS IN THE AIR
Friendship Festival is back with new and returning friendship-themed quests. Celebrate camaraderie with your closest companions to earn exclusive items for both your Viking and your farm!

With Snoggletog festivities coming to a close with a dawn of a new year, all of us on the School of Dragons team would like to thank you for a most wonderful and jubilant event! Look forward to February for some fun new content!

Snoggletog has returned!
While the start of winter may be more temperate than anticipated, the citizens of Berk and the School of Dragons campus are gearing up for another festive season full of new activities, a maze, and the induction of our newest member of the School of Dragons family, the Golden Dragon. Here is what you can expect during Snoggletog 2021:


  • Come and celebrate Snoggletog by performing a play for the citizens of Berk!
  • Introduction of our new dragon, the Golden Dragon; collectible as the final prize of the Snoggletog event.
  • A Snoggletog maze has appeared in New Berk, find what secrets await inside.
  • 8 new Dragon Tactics levels.
  • Updated Daily and Stable quests.
  • 4 themed Thunder Run racing levels.
  • The Yaks are getting festive this season, and are a great source for cookies.
  • Updated world event with an increase of enemy damage and health. Make sure to bring some friends to take down these dastardly raiders.

Bug fix for items purchased in the Store not showing the proper count in the Viking Inventory until game restart

Good afternoon Vikings! As we move our way through Dreadfall, The SoD team has fixed a few bugs reported by our lovely community of players. The following fixes include:


Zendesk Implementation
When entering the login screen, we’ve added a “Contact Support” and “FAQ” functionality, adding a place for players to submit any issues they have in-game.

General:
* Resolved a display bug showing the improper number of prizes when opening mystery chests.
* Dragon Tactics:

  • ·Fixed a bug where dragons were shooting through solid objects like walls.
  • ·Resolved an issue where dragons were able to fire upon enemies beyond their attack range.

Dreadfall 2021

Features
· New Dreadfall Event story quest.
· New hybrid dragon, the Humbanger available.
· Layout changes to the Dreadfall maze activity.
· Addition of an exclusive Dreadfall themed farm animal, the Black Dread Spider.
· Dreadfall farm animals from previous events are added to the store.
· 8 New Dragon Tactics levels.
· New Dreadfall themed armor and weapons.
· Updated World Event Ship in training grounds.
· Updates to stable and daily quests.
· Added 3 new tiered Dreadfall blueprints

Dragon Tactics
· Included the Humbanger as a playable dragon.
· Added the spider and Skrill Aurora armor sets to the loot table.
· Resolved an issue allowing the enemy to attack through bushes.
· Fixed an issue causing the Fireworm queen to not inflict damage to player or ally dragons.
· Stability fixes.

Dreadfall Maze
· 4 Updated mazes puzzles.
· Added the “Time Trial” mode for players who want to try and compete for the best time.
· Stability adjustments.

General
· Removed random collision that would impede players during World Event.
· Fixed an issue where the “harvest” icon would not appear when trying to collect resources from the Farm.
· Fixed an issue with the chat window feature that caused infinite loading to occur.
· Fixed an issue with Hobgobble quest where they are not movable.
· Updates for Contraption mini-game Achievement tracking.
· Resolved issues on various dragons' appearances for mobile.
· Several islands' lighting was updated.
· Other minor fixes and optimizations.

Watch as Dart, Pouncer and Ruffrunner come into their own defending the school from the intense summer raids.


  • Help fight off our foes and collect Valka’s research notes with these new summer themed events.
  • 12 new Dragon Tactics levels.
  • New Night Light themed story quests featuring new and old Gigantic dragons.
  • Night Light themed sheep.
  • Warlord raid world event in the training grounds.
