Indie Breakdown is BACK and Schwarzerblitz will be part of it again!
After long since its last iteration, the Indie Breakdown tournament series is back! Schwarzerblitz will be part of it as a main tournament! The game will be played trough Parsec on the 9th of July, 2022, 10AM CST.
For Schwarzerblitz, the winner will be able to design a stage for the game (with some restrictions), and the top 3 players will receive a celebratory Indie Breakdown-branded costume for their main character, with their player handle and placement too!
Balance patch to fix a couple legacy characters and remove some unwanted interactions.
Character adjustments
Kaya
Removed her mid-screen Sukeban Takedown combo, which was completely accidental
Added a Mid and Low option to some of her strings
Krave
Improved frame data on his 2K 2P string (was negative on hit)
Dab Cancels are now possible from frame 5
Mr. Driller Again's input changed to PPPPP instead of PPP during Mr. Driller to avoid accidental inputs
Spider Stance Cancel ( during Mr. Driller) can be now canceled into forward Spider Step
Fixed his moveset trial to reflect the above changes
Elena
Her 4K and 1Kattacks have now a Strong reaction and combo into each other. The forward momentum is increased to facilitate the combo
Her c.3K can be canceled into 8K
Her grab now has Hard Knockdown properties and chains into 2K
Shaz
Improved frame data on 2KKK and 4K to make them safe and not negative on hit
Increased damage on his Impact Headbutt to 30 (followup c.P)
Lejl
Fixed a missing scaling limiter on her regular grab. Now, when used in a combo, her regular grab will always deal at least 35% of its max damage, independent on the combo scaling
Bug fixes
Dynamic resolution is switched off by default (caused random crashes on Linux/Proton and Steam Deck)
FPS limit is now 144fps by default, thus avoiding graphic cards going nuclear when the game first launches
Schwarzerblitz v1.4.6 is out! New costumes, new stage, bug fixes
As anticipated last week, Schwarzerblitz is now updated to version 1.4.6, featuring three new costumes, a new stage and several grammar and small bug fixes!
New content
Shaz got a new "Mascot" costume! To unlock it, clear the story episode "Burial at Sea";
Sir Rattlebone got a new "Perfect Disguise" costume! To unlock it, clear arcade mode with him once or complete his moveset trial;
Emperor Arkaneis got a "Frosty Faustings XIV" celebration costume too! This one is unlocked from the beginning;
Emperor Arkaneis has now his own moveset trial (it is not required to obtain the "All trials complete" achievement)
There is a new stage, "Beyond the Limit", which is accessible from the beginning. The BGM used in the stage can be listened to in the in-game jukebox
Bug fixes
grammar and spelling review (thanks to the members of the Schwarzerblitz Discord server!);
Kaya's moveset trial now shows the correct input for her Sword Throw move in the description;
Lazor's trial was fixed, as some moves were not registering as done, even when executed correctly.
Important note
As a result of the update, the individual progress in most story chapters will be set again to 0%, but completed chapters will still be marked as such - so, nothing will be lost except checkpoints if you were currently playing a specific story chapter. I apologize for the inconvenience!
This will be the last patch for a while, unless there is any urgent bug to fix! I hope you will enjoy this small amount of new content, which doubles as a "Thank you!" for sticking with this game for so long!

Schwarzerblitz was selected as a Mystery Game for Frosty Faustings XIV!
I cannot believe it, but YES, this actually happened! A big tournament in Chicago, Frosty Faustings XIV, showcased Schwarzerblitz as a part of the Mystery Game tournament! Due to some unknown circumstances, the organizers didn't ban the boss characters, resulting in dreadful ARKANEIS MIRRORS!
But what does it mean for you players?
Well, that to celebrate this unexpected event, you will all get a free, official, Frosty Faustings XIV Arkaneis skin, plus a few more goodies that I have prepared to celebrate the 100 positive reviews mark!
The update will drop on the 16th February, 2022 and will contain this costume, plus a new unlockable costume for Shaz, a new unlockable costume for Sir Rattlebone and the new stage Beyond the Limit!

This patch applies the endless beta changes to the main branch, as I didn't receive any bug report from the beta testers.

Fixed bug that caused the AI to go berserk if the FPS Limiter in Options > Graphics was set to 60fps
Removed Kaya's Sukeban Takedown corner infinite (now max 3 repetitions)
tweaked the Infinite Prevention System to take care of similar occurrences with other moves
Fixed an issue with INDEPENDENT additional objects that made them ignore the Y axis offset (this one might be relevant for modders, as the only character which made use of them was the Haemophage/Noctiphage)
