we have fixed a critical bug in the game!
It could appear that, upon starting a new game, the game wouldn't run properly, the screen would get black and random sounds started playing. Boom, what a mess!
The bug is now fixed and Scott in Space should run like a charm again!

Gameplay Update

here is another update for you!
We are fixing a minor bug of the new HUD feature we introduced with our last update and we are improving some gameplay aspects that had an impact on especially the hardest difficulty.
Plus, all enemy hitboxes have been re-adjusted to be more friendly towards the player when jumping on enemies.
Update 1.16.08.24
BUGFIXING - A minor bug has been fixed where the Universe Map indicator would show up empty after the final mission and for some story items when there was exactly one item left to be collected
IMPROVEMENTS - The camera will follow Scott now more smoothly
- Rhino Space fighters will only shoot when they are on screen
- Lava Monsters will only shoot when they are on screen
- The collision boxes of all enemies were re-adjusted to be more player friendly regarding hit detection
BALANCING - The amount of Rhino Spear Guards spawaning on Lavair has been reduced by 50%
- The amount of Rhino Normal Patrols spawning has been increased by 100%
- The health of the Lavair end boss has been reduced by 60%
LEVEL DESIGN - Further Changes were made to the 'Flying Iracus' level to make it easier
- Changes were made to some 'Rhino Moon' levels to simplify the player navigation
- Changes were made to some enemy placements in the 'New Defensio' level

We are rolling the Steam Trading Cards out, including backgrounds, emoticons and badges!
Furthermore, this update improves the universe map navigation, some level design and the story introduction!
Update 1.16.08.09 changelog
Steam Trading cards can now be earned by playing Scott in Space.
The HUD in the universe map now indicates which planet you must navigate to if there is no active quest or a waiting quest master for you to return
The 'Flying Icarus' level is now much easier to finish than before since its gameplay mechanic differs so much from the game core mechanic.
The intro video can now only be skipped while the developer logos are showing if there is an existing savegame (to ensure new players get to see the intro video - some players missed it! The video can be skipped after the logos at any time.)

Minor Update
Community,
we are bringing you a small update with a big impact!
With this update, the camera movement will be improved. The camera will not only follow Scott more fluently, but also much quicker through the level. This will solve some minor problems here and there players had when falling down high cliffs.
Furthermore, the camera is now set to focus on what's in front of Scott rather than having Scott himself as the center of this screen. This means you can see enemies earlier and react quicker.
Finally, the particles that indicate story quest items are now bigger than before so you can spot story items more easily.

Improvements and Balancing Update
The life of a guniea pig can be hard. And we make it even harder today:
In order to push the pace at the start of the game, but also of the game as a whole, we make it harder to regain health and life while making stronger enemies appear earlier.
Furthermore, we made some minor improvements for you.
• Improvements
- Location markers on the universe map now indicate quests via changed colour
- The screen fade in-between screens and levels is now black instead of white
- Bugfix: Item particles sometimes spawned incorrectly
• Balancing
- Paprica spawns with only a 50% chance on level start (enemy drop rate is stil 100%)
- Apples have a lower value on lower difficulties
- Rhino Guards and Starship Rhinos appear earlier in the game
