SCP-049 PS Battle Winners!
Dear Researchers,
You have done incredible work tracing SCP-049's recent movements. Over 100 images were submitted by researchers across platforms and countries!
We are now honored to present our Favorite 3 entries. Each of the following will receive a DLC key upon release:
2. Facing full-life consequences for medical malpractice, by @DrTFountain
3. Questioning research priorities, by @Real_Jar_Red
Finally, an honorable mention and bonus DLC key will be awarded to Super Archivist @Ceart_V, who contributed over 20 new files to our research.
To all entrants: It was an absolute pleasure for the Archive Department to catalog your entries! So many matched the above in creativity and enthusiasm, it was impossible to pick the "best." Instead, we tried to select winners that represented a variety of styles, and it was incredibly difficult.
Your love for SCP-049 clearly rivals our own. Now, we're even more hyped to him justice with our DLC, coming Q1 2023!

Nominate SCP: Secret Files for Labor of Love in the Steam Awards!
Please nominate SCP: Secret Files for "Labor of Love" in the 2022 Steam Awards!
The SCP universe is vast and varied, and it never fails to fill us with awe.
We set out to share that awe with other passionate players like us: Those enthralled by a world filled with the unexplained. Yes, sometimes it fills us with dread; but other times, it surprises us, makes us laugh, and even warms our hearts.
It was incredibly challenging to convey such a wide variety of themes and tones, from comedy to horror. It flexed our every creative muscle, but your responses have been truly gratifying:
"Forget every SCP game you've played so far. This one is by far the highest quality ever made.... It's a real masterpiece."
“Brilliant, exquisite, astonishing.... You guys went the scenic route, to show that SCP is not just scary and horror stuff. It's everything and nothing. The stories, the possibilities -- they're endless."
"This form of storytelling is the definitive way SCP stories can be brought to life in such an epic and immersive way."
We'd be truly honored if you'd vote for us as a Labor of Love in this year's Steam Awards! We hope the love we've poured into Secret Files is evident to you, and would love to share it with more gamers.
We humbly thank you for your consideration! Remember you can always connect with us on Discord and Twitter.
Stay sane, and stay in awe!

November Devlog | DLC and Digital Art Book Update!
Long time no see, Researchers. GameZoo here!
It's been a little over a month since SCP: Secret Files launched on Steam! We've received a humbling amount of praise and encouragement in that time. Ever since our studio was founded-- no, ever since the concept for Secret Files first took root in our brains!-- we've dreamed of nothing more than bringing this game to life. Indie studios always risk their road collapsing while they're in the middle of building it, and we truly could not have completed this journey without your support. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
Since launch, we have slowed down on public dev updates, but have no fear: we've had our heads down following up on those tasty breadcrumbs we left you in the game (049 DLC, the main story follow up on 055, etc). By popular request, the digital concept art book is also underway!
Speaking of DLC... The story will unfold with a unique perspective and atmosphere. We will stick to our creative vision: rejecting monotony, telling a different and fun story, and injecting some surprising gameplay (how about that gunplay you've all been asking about?). 049 is such a special entity -- he has power, elegance, and intellect; he embodies benevolence and malevolence in one form. You can't help but be drawn in by this "plague doctor" and his mysterious background.
DLC Character Art
To create a story exclusively for him, we repeatedly redrafted and remodeled, polished and polished again, moving step-by-step closer to 049's dark yet fervent world. Finally, after much heated discussion, we've settled on our current rendering as ███.
Now we are in full swing to bring this idea to fruition. We sincerely hope that, by providing a unique, grounded narrative gaming experience, we can pass along this spark in our hearts to all of you other passionate fans of the Foundation and 049.
DLC Concept Art
Right now, we're feeling great. Maybe the GZ-6 will become the GZ-8? It's looking like the SCP mega-series of our dreams may actually be possible! Of course, we can't hope to cover the whole SCP universe. After all, the wiki updates hundreds of times per day... No matter how fast we work, we'd still be left in the dust. For now, we're focused on the stories with strong narrative qualities, that jive with our main storyline, and that are most beloved by the community! So much to do, with so little time-- but that's life at the Foundation.
We'll leave off here for now, since we've got bugs to hunt. Wish you all good health. And eat well: It puts you in the right mind to operate!
We fight in the dark, so that you may live in the light.

We are honored to award the title of "Foundation Reporter"!
Dear "Karls",
Three weeks ago, the Foundation authorized you to create original in-game site news and announcements. As always, you have demonstrated your utmost dedication to our cause. We received more than 100 submissions from all over the world. Some submissions were bizarre and humorous, while others were grave and heavy, reflecting the professionalism and diversity of our community. We are very grateful to every contestant!
After carefully reviewing all the entries, the Foundation Archives decided to award the title of "Foundation Reporter" to those contestants who submitted the best entries (names listed in no particular order) :
Your entries will be included in our game, and your names will be added to the game's "Thank You" list!
At the same time, we're already working on adding your new content to our game. Stay tuned for the update log!
"The Foundation Reporter"
Dear "Karls", It is inevitable that you will have uncovered some interesting "news" related to Foundation anomalies while dealing with the secret files. For example, could the Guatemalan sinkhole be related to SCP-994? What about the mysterious corpse found in the forest northwest of Yekaterinburg? And what caused the bizarre explosion at site-300-12?
Or perhaps you noticed those usual group announcements, such as: no contact with SCP-999 during working hours; no verbal abuse, or you will be injected with amnestics; SCP-343's visiting hours are changed to 14:00 daily...
Now, the Foundation is authorizing YOU to create some brand site news and announcements. Submit your original content (it can be based on existing SCP content, but not directly plagiarized) in the form linked below, and we'll add our favourites to the game! The winner's name will also be added to the game's "thank you" list!
Rules: 1. Event time: Now - October 10th 2. Submit your entries via this form (if Steam blocks the form, simply copy the URL on the blocked page and paste into your browser) 3. You can write multiple entries, but each entry is limited to 100 words 4. We will add our favourites to the game 5. If your entry is chosen, we will contact you via the information you wrote in the form
