In other news Steam Remote Play Together is now out of beta and are rolled out to all clients. Using that you can play Scrap Galaxy together over the Internet. Let us spend the autumn indoors playing together!


Play Scrap Galaxy online with Steam Remote Play Together!

Jesper from Catalope Games here. Steam just added a new beta feature that allows you to play local multiplayer games online. It works via that the host streams the game to all clients and the clients send their input to the host.



This means you can play Scrap Galaxy with anyone in your Steam friend list... Providing that you all have a quite good connection and are around in the same part of world.

How to play Scrap Galaxy with Remote Play Together?

Remote Play Together is a beta feature that require to be on the beta channel of Steam updates.

The host start Scrap Galaxy and open up their friend list. Right click on a friend then pick the "Invite to Remote Play Together" option. The friend accepts then you are both playing Scrap Galaxy!



How to enable Steam beta?

Go to your Steam settings. In the Account tab, opt-in for Beta participation. Steam will then restart and you should be ready. Here is a tutorial covering the subject.

Hi everyone!

Here are two patches (v1.0.7 and v1.0.6) that fixes some things requested by you the community. Firstly it adds a slider for how much the screen should shake when things are destroyed. Secondly it changes how sound is calculated, this makes the sound much more nice when there is a lot of bullets flying around.

Scrap Galaxy patch v1.0.5


Hi everyone!

Here is a small patch to fix some minor issues with the game. Mainly all co-op levels have been re balanced from Unity Analytic feedback. Some of them had some nasty difficulty spikes which should be fixed now. More descriptions have also been added to the main menu, hopefully fixing some confusion with what some of the options do.

Since you are in fact streaming the entire game to the other players it works better the closer you are to each other geographically. Let us know how it works for you in the forums.



Second update is that we have new art for the captains you play as. The designs are still very much the same, as we felt they matched the universe and tone quite well. But we now have a much more defined and polished style.
