Open Beta - v2.0.6 - Custom Lobbies

Hey all, this patch brings some new features to custom lobbies. You can now control gravity, player health, max loadout points, jump velocity and movement speed, as well as ban certain guns in custom lobbies.

- The name of the equipped preset now updates correctly when switching between loadouts on the loadouts screen

v2.0.5 - Patch 1

Hey all, this is a minor patch to fix the bug where players appeared to be stuck in the corner of the map.

I'll be working on custom lobby enhancements next:

  • Custom max loadout power
  • Sliders for movement speed, gravity, player health, block health
  • Ability to run maps from the workshop

Open Beta - v2.0.5 - Networking Patch

Hey all, this patch focuses on networking optimisations and improvements. Fora noticed the game servers were using massive network bandwidth (sending out up to 30mbps across all clients) and I found that ammo bonuses and scanners were excessively broadcasting their positions. I also found a way to reduce the amount of data in player position/rotation packets, and all up reduced the amount of data being sent to each client from 250kbps to 15-20kbps.

I hope this alleviates some packet loss and hitreg issues. Please let me know if you're having any issues

Fixes
- Removed some floating wood blocks on Devoid Wasteland and Aegis Oasis
- Bonuses are now visible when you join a match mid-round
- Fixed a rare networking issue that prevented single-shot weapons from shooting on the server
- Fixed a rare issue that caused stats to not track for some players

Changes
- Lobby names are now affected by the profanity filter
- Reverted to a traditional full-minimap view
- Changed underwater grass to rock, added more ships and increased window size on Aegis Oasis

- Descriptions on titles on the Licence screen to show how they were earned
- The display on the MiDi now shows the structure you're about to place
- In digging mode, the display on the MiDi shows the health of the block you're looking at

Hey all, this patch comes with a bit of everything! New map, weapon balancing, audio balancing, bug fixes and quality of life improvements.

Fixes:
- Double Barrel / Combat Shotgun bullet fly-by SFX are now the same volume as other guns
- The correct Subway art is now used on the map voting screen
- Fixed issues with stat tracking that prevented players from respawning
- Bare minimum is no longer force-enabled on GPUs with more than 8GB RAM
- Players no longer get stuck in limbo when clicking Quick Play when already connected to another server
- Servers now move from the 'Other' category up to the main category when sorting the server list
- Mumbai servers are now running again
- Crosshair UI is no longer clipped around the edges

Changes:
- The last attachment you changed will remain equipped when equipping incompatible combinations
- All UI related to loadout power is now coloured yellow
- Reduced volume of flag pickup/drop SFX

Fixes
- Fixed funky scrolling after clearing the settings search field with the `X` button
- Fixed ship textures when joining a server in the background
- Fixed rich presence for the shooting range / in-game text
- Fixed duplicate players in the social sidebar after adding/removing them from your party

- Pressing escape will now take you back to the previous screen, or close the settings window
- Pressing escape on the presets screen, or clicking 'Return to loadouts' in the top left, will now take you back to your loadout

- Reserved party members now show on the scoreboard
- 'X slots reserved' notifications when joining a lobby as the party leader

Balancing
- Grenades can no longer be detonated by explosive splash damage (must shoot it directly)
- Friendly C4, Disruptors, Extractors and Reinforcers no longer explode when shot by friendlies with non-explosive weaponry

v2.0.2 - Party Fixes, Boost Improvements, Network Optimisations

Boosts


I've changed the way boosts work so that you don't lose boost time when activating a new boost.

You can now freely change between each boost type (1.5x, 2.0x and 3.0x), and your time in-game will be deducted from the total boost time.



Yep I have a lot of boosts for..... testing purposes


Next Steps


I'll be mainly working on UI/UX improvements next, mainly around the loadout/preset UI and the contesting/objective UI in game. The majority of new players get confused here so I'd like to clear it all up.
