This build includes a bunch of new features:

Tutorial

  • Brand new tutorial that introduces game rules and mechanics
  • Gracefully enters first-run and selectable from menu


New Synthesizer Voices

  • Four new synths created by Symbion Project
  • Choose from all five synths to use in any level


New Button: Preview

  • Press X (on 360 controller) to preview the sound of the currently selected Sound Block


Minor Key Signatures

  • Play any song in any minor key


Linux Improvements

  • Major performance increase in smoothness of time tracking
  • SteamOS is now officially supported


New Bamboo Forest Colors

  • Magic Hour (Orange)
  • Snowfall (Blue & White)
  • X-Ray (Pink)

Alpha 1.1 Hotfix

I've just published Alpha 1.1, which is a hotfix release for some issues initially encountered over launch weekend.


  • Keyboard now works while a controller is plugged in. Both Keyboard and controller can be used to control single-player mode
  • Reversed positions of button control labels on the pause screen to be correct
  • Disabled edge trace effect to improve performance

Sentris Alpha 1 is Live!

Hey all, I've just pushed Sentris Alpha 1 live to everybody! This is the launch version of Sentris for Early Access, and I'm really excited for everyone to start playing! Keep reading for details on how this build has changed since Alpha 0.1.

Release Notes




  • Added Dip Switch: Key Signature override
  • Added Dip Switch: Tempo selector
  • Added Dip Switch: Metronome toggle
  • Added background: Bamboo Forest - Green
  • Added background: Bamboo Forest - Green/Pink mashup
  • Added Electric Guitar samples
  • Added Electric Bass samples
  • Four constant instruments (for now): Synth, Drums, Bass, Guitar
  • Added controls description on Pause Screen
  • Added hot keys to Pause Screen: R to Restart, Q to Quit
  • Made Hard level 1 harder
  • Minor adjustment to Medium level 2
  • Confirmed Xbox One controller works on Windows
  • Changed keyboard commands to N & M keys instead of arrows

Sentris Alpha 0.1 is live! For those of you who've been playing Alpha 0, you'll be delighted by the additional content in this update.

Release Notes



Level Selection Menu

  • Added five new levels for a total of six
  • Exposed level information including BPM and key signatures


Puzzle Customization

  • Exposed dip switches for customizing gameplay options
  • Every level can be customized before playing
  • Experiment with different dip switches to alter the way you solve puzzles


Multiple Backgrounds

  • Added four different color gradient backgrounds
  • Added four different color schemes for the Canyon background
  • Added transforming Canyon level, used in the Early Access announce trailer


In-Game Hotkeys

  • M - toggle metronome off/on
  • R - reset back to the main menu


Controls - Controller is still the recommended way to play Sentris
Xbox 360 controller:

  • D-pad/Left Stick - Select active Sound Block sequence
  • A button - Drop selected Sound Block
  • B button - Build Chord with selected Sound Block
  • Right Stick - Tilt the UI

PS3 or PS4 controller:

  • D-pad/Left Stick - Select active Sound Block sequence
  • Cross button - Drop selected Sound Block
  • Circle button - Build Chord with selected Sound Block
  • Right Stick - Tilt the UI
