Bet you didn't expect to hear from me again. Thank you all who have downloaded and played Set Sail. Each and every player means a lot to me. As stated in previous updates, the time, and cost to continue this project forward is null at the moment. However, I recently was asked to submit my game to an upcoming pride gaming event. The excitement shocked me into the update you see below. Unfortunately, the event has been canceled due to unintended circumstances. I was quite downhearted by the news. Nevertheless, I wanted to show everyone what I added during the little extra time I found to update the game for the event. As well as a cheeky reminder that if you want to support this game financially through the Set Sail Support Bundle. Which is available at the link below, now with more phone screensavers and all the assets seen on the Steam Page. Thank you again.
Updated Backgrounds After a while, I realized some backgrounds could have been better.
Music Menu On the main menu, accessible at any point in the story, is a new music menu. You can play the four different tracks from the game and chill to the music made by my wonderful composer. *Includes ya girl G
Pointer Update In game cursor color now reflects gender choice made during gameplay.
New Support Links Added an updated Patreon link as well as a Ko-Fi link at the end of the About section.

Moving On From EA
Hello friends and players.
Today I have taken the game out of early access and into full release. Unfortunately, I was unable to receive extra funding to work on this project full time, and I have found a different full time job that limits my time to work on larger projects.
Thankfully, this version of Set Sail is a full game experience in it of itself, and will remain free to everyone. As lucrative as it might be to charge a small amount for this content, I truly want as many players to experience my story as possible. There are other ways of supporting me if you desire, but I'll keep inching my way towards a life path that allows me to create games full time.
Astrid, Behati, G, Fiona, and the Captain,
will always be a part of me. Their struggles were all too familiar of those experienced by millions of young people amidst the pandemic. Many of us had felt this way even before that.
I hope one day I can finish their stories in the interactive way I imagined back in 2020.
See you next time pirates.
Patch 1.0.27
The pirate fight scene was originally very bad and boring. But while coding it, I decided to make it more interactive. Thus, without thinking ahead of, I rushed the development of it. Due to that choice, I'm always finding bugs there. Today's embarrassing patch is due to an error from the previous update that made a check that didn't exist and a section in the 2nd pirate fight.
Both should be fixed now.
If you find any other bugs, you can message me in Discord or use the community tab on Steam.
Thank you for playing.
June 2nd Update
Hey Players,
It doesn't look like this game is getting the traction I'd hoped Set Sail would get. Nevertheless, I love these characters so more content might come in the future. There are plans for a small side story. For now we got a small update.
Added more content to initial Market scene *Dev Note: While looking through the text of the game I found that the scene with the annoying woman, although funny, was sort of boring. So I added a branching tree to convince her to tell you where the school is. Note that you can now fail this encounter.
New Achievement *Dev Note: I added a new achievement that involves the above mentioned encounter. I also changed the way a few achievements worked, as some were not suppose to alert the player of their completion.
Profanity Filter Toggle *Dev Note: A family friendly streamer played Set Sail and had an uncomfortable pause during every curse word to think of a different word to read out loud. This made me better realize how many curses were in the game, when previously I thought there was minimal. So on the Preferences Menu there is a togglable profanity filter for heavy curse words. Changing them into slight (often humorous) alternatives. This is off by default.
Higher Definition Main Menu *Dev Note: They look better this way. Also, this took me a while to do by hand.
Minor Text Additions *Dev Note: Additions to dialogue in all scenes have been made. Some small, some slightly larger.
Minor Background Enhancements
Grammar Fixes *Dev Note: The new version number is 1.0.26, however internally some files are referred to as 1.0.5. These are the same version. Sorry for any confusion.
