Patch Notes
Dungeon Changes:
- A new spider enemy can now be encountered on your travels
- Several obstacles in the dungeon are now destroyable through bombs/ultimate abilities
- Large scenery has been moved outside the rooms walls All though it was a more “immersive” feeling to have all trees in your view, it was causing several issues. Enemies/interactables were obscured by the trees which could cause you to miss stuff or to not be able to react in time for ranged attacks.
On the other hand I didn’t want to remove the trees cause they fit the zone so good and work together well with the weather effects. So because the outside of the walls were just a empty void I decided to fill that space up with trees as the next best thing.
- A couple of new room layouts have been added
- Rooms in the dungeon can now rotate Another way to increase variation was to give all rooms to possibility to be rotated in 90 degree increments.
- The bamboo forest boss has been reworked Hatamoto has gotten a new ability and his combat logic has been reworked.
- Added a miniboss room that can be encountered
- Some rooms with an interactable have been decreased in size
Ronin changes:
- The ronin's yoko ryu combo attack has been replaced with a new area attack with unique blessings
- The player aiming system has been reworked Now aiming in the direction of an enemy selects the enemy that the joystick points too the most within a angle of 60 degree from the player.
This allows you to be less accurate when aiming the stick and makes it easier to change targets that are very near to each other.
- Cost for blocking an attack reduced to 25 stamina
Gameplay changes:
- Forcing a game over during your dungeon now has a unique animation
- Some enemies have a global cooldown on their attacks
- Camera has been zoomed out slightly
Minor changes:
- Some new props have been added to the town
- Nights are less dark
- Big treasure chests can drop small treasure chests
- Added a blessing shrine in the zen garden in town to try out builds for PVP
- Daylight is less orange
- Rewards for clearing a room now spawn in the center of the room
- Content in the pause menus show a background image
- Interact UI color changed to be more consistent with other labels

Patch Notes
Weather Effects:
- Several seasonal effects have been added to the game. The weather changes at random intervals causing it to rain/snow/clear up. The environment updates dynamically depending on the weather.
There's also some variation in rain differing from light drizzle to heavy storm.
- The day and night cycle have been updated with their own skybox for some more immersion.
Ronin Changes:
- The ronin's passive stance has been reworked. After unlocking way of the ronin you can manually alter your damage done/taken balance. This allows you choose for a more aggressive or defensive playstyle.
- The player doesn't take damage anymore during a hit reaction giving you a brief period of "Immunity".
- The blessing Aiki has been reworked. Aiki now triggers an instant dashing strike on a perfect block.
- The new blessing "Blast Armor" has been added. This blessing makes you immune to all damage coming from bombs.
Dungeon Changes:
- The mystery room has been reworked. The previous version had 2 randomized chests (1 good, 1 bad) which seemed like a good idea on paper but in reality it wasn't really a choice causing you to just pick the nearest chest for convenience.
Now there is an option to either choose a gold chest or the mystery chest which can be anything even a gold chest!
- The amount of enemies in a room has increased by 30% but enemy health has been reduced by 30%. Some rooms only spawning 1 enemy made it seem kind of empty, so I'm trying to find a balance between more enemies and manageable combat.
UI Changes:
- The dojo interface has been updated.
- The player circle has been updated. Now you always have an indication of your player's direction through the icon.
- The player frame has an updated Ronin Face Aside from that the controller icons have also been changed
- The interaction UI for players has been moved to the player instead of the NPC.
Minor Changes:
The game has been updated from unity 2020 to unity 2021 LTS. The controller icons have been updated. Changing keybindings should now also update the icon in the player frame. Lootable bombs don't drop anymore if no player has the bomb trinket.

Patch Notes
Dungeon:
A new wolf enemy joins the bamboo forest
Ronin:
- The first version of trinkets have been added. The dojo offers you 2 choices to buy: 1) A Sushi plate, which restores health on demand 2) A bomb that you can drop for some extra damage to anyone in the vicinity
Each trinket has an amount of charges and extra charges can drop from enemies or chests in the dungeon.
- Each trinket also has some blessings tied to them discoverable at the dragon shrines.
- Blocking when you don't have the required amount of stamina puts you in a block break state.
- Focussing an enemy has been expanded: A setting has been added to auto focus an enemy when attacking. You can stay focused on to an enemy with the focus button or attack manually in any direction you want. (if auto focus is disabled) Aim assist allows you to change targets based on the direction you are aiming instead of changing targets manually with the right stick.
Town:
- The Torii gate in town has been upgraded to a small shrine
- The Dojo offers an extra row of abilities called trinkets - The Dojo now only offers 1 passive in the first row for each class
UI:
