Closing the Arcade
We have some difficult news to share with you today. Three years ago, we started 80Arcade with one goal – to make the kind of games we would have loved as kids. We wanted to capture the magic of the arcade and bring that spirit to easily accessible PC and tablet games. We are incredibly proud of our work on Shards the Deckbuilder and the RWBY Deckbuilding Game, but despite a positive fan response, there unfortunately wasn’t enough overall energy in game to support continued development at this time. Combined with the turbulent economic times we are all grappling with these days, we find ourselves forced to close the doors to the arcade.

We know there are those of you who still love playing our games, so we are keeping the servers to Shards the Deckbuilder up as long as possible. They will be coming down in 1 month, on May the 15th. Thank you so much for all your support over the years. It means more to us than you can know, and we are going to work as hard as we can to find new strategies to bring you the gaming you love in a retooled format.

1/10/19 Update
We are now implementing an update to Shards that brings some exciting bug fixes and updates. Included in this are:

- Localization updates
- Continued server stability fixes
- Mythic Locations can now be obtained through Mythic Adventures
- Jadiim Raid now available in the Shop

There will be a 30 minute down time to accomplish this patch, and after we are done you’ll need to get the new version of the client to continue playing.
