Yes Wanderers, you read it right...



After 5 years of hard work, a Kickstart campaign, lots of ups and downs and a year of early access, the official 1.0 version of the game is finally ready.

We couldn't have done it without all of your feedback, so we wanted to thank you once again.

You made the game what it is today, and you definitely made us better devs, artists, writers and designers. From the bottom of our 5 little hearts: THANK YOU ♥

Please note that due to a little delay in our comms with Valve, the launch sale will be a bit late: so tune in in 20 minutes from now for a 15% off launch discount!

About the languages: the game is currently in French and English only.
A post launch update will come as soon as we can with Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish and German.
Other languages are still in discussion (we have duly noted the interested of Turkish players) we'll let you know how it goes!

Last patch notes until full release

Hello there, dear Wanderers!

As you know, we’re now less than a month away from Shattered’s full release. But we didn’t want to let you hanging until then with a 3 months old version of the game, so… This update is a big one.
Such a big one, that we won’t tell you precisely what we fixed and added, because there is SO much. We’ll just let you discover the reworked areas, new NPCs, etc. etc... ♥

What we’re going to do though, is telling you what is still missing and the bugs we already know and are still working on.
Let’s have a look:

• You now have access to everything in the game, EXCEPT for the last zone. That means the full release will still have surprises for you : the said last zone, endings, last Boss…
• The Quick Access Inventory will be improved & fixed
• We’ll add and/or balance certain craft recipes
• There’s a bit of polishing left on combat gameplay and a few enemies/Bosses
• We’ll do some level art polishing (collision issues etc), and some UI/FX/visual rendering improvement.
• For more fun, we let a few occasional crashes the possibility to happen. (No, we’re sorry about that and are investigating the matter as you’re reading this)

Due to the amount of changes we made, you really have to start a new game, otherwise your save will probably end up completely corrupted.

This will also be the last update until the full release.

We've been MIA for several months now.
We weren't leisuring on Hypnos' secret sunny beaches, though, we were working towards the end of Shattered's development!
It's hard to even begin to tell you how excited, proud and exhausted we are.

We're also so eager to show you this...

For those of you who already own the Early Access of the game, don't worry.
All the bugs and weird stuff that still exist on the version you have have been fixed (again, many many thanks to all of you who shared their feedback with us ♥) and a lot of things have changed.
Really changed.
We'll make an update in the upcoming days for you to see it all that has happened!

Build 0.12 Hotfix!

Hey again dear Wanderers,

Thank you so much for your quick feedback and positive comments on the last update, we're so glad you liked it ♥
We've been able to make a little hotfix, since a few problematic bugs had shown up.

Here it is:

• Fix of the crashes that happened when fighting the Stranger and Gheb
• Fix of display bugs in the binding menu
• Fix of the freeze that happened when you used a Mark from the inventory
• The casting bar of the Marks no longer stays on the screen afterwards
• Loot still appears even if you hide the HUD
• Fix of the link between Limbo and the door of Khotar
• Legionaries now have a thrust attack with a wider dash, and gained a few adjustments on their AI
• Damage reduction for the charged attacks, light and heavy
• The door of Khotar can't be skipped anymore
• We also made a few display corrections on certain maps.

Build 0.12: a new Demiurge and a new zone!

Dear, dear Wanderers

We took longer than usual to craft today’s update.

We decided it was worth it to make you wait a while, since we had so many things to work on and finally show you. We made so many corrections, changes and additions, we really really hope you'll like everything that's new ♥

In order to make sure it all works fine, please remember to start a new game after downloading the patch notes.

So, what have we done? :D

BUGFIX:
• Stamina comes back up at a normal pace when the shield is destroyed.
• Legionaries’ spears can no longer hurt you after you killed their bearer.
• Items no longer have a negative value in the inventory, and the whole system is more stable.
• Items are correctly synchronized betwen the quick access and the inventory.
• Menus are finally fine when navigated with a mouse.
• Stats bars of the weapons are fixed in the inventory and no longer comes on top of the artefacts.
• Hierarchs no longer scream after they died.
• Spatialization of the Lost Souls’ sounds re-established.
• Homonculus’ damage fixed no matter the pattern.

OPTIMIZATIONS:

• Lots of maps optimizations
• Lots of assets optimizations
• No more FPS drops when picking up items, or when the inventory contains a lot of them.

ADDITIONS:
• NEW BOSS AND DEMIURGE: THE PENITENT KING
• NEW AREA: IMBOLT FOREST
• Total rework of the Limbo Gates, they’re now all connected to a single one on the Heart of Limbo. We removed the keys associated to the old doors.
• The Crucible is now working : items creation and weapon improvement.
• Additions of all the resources needed for creating items and improving weapons.
• New visual effect on the perfect parry during the activation window.
• New variations of animations on the different weapons.
• You can now scroll down in the long texts with the right stick of your controller.
• Visual options (gamma and display modes).
• You can finally remap your keyboard as you want ! (Controllers as well)
• Access to the « options » menu from the main menu
• You can now improve the Catalyser’s efficiency as well as its number of uses.
• Foes now drop items when they die.
• New screen when you pick up an important item.
• New notification when you pick up an item.
• Interfaces now detect if you’re using a keyboard of a controller.
• New visual and sound effects when using a healing/recovering item.

CHANGES: 

• The Pretorian has been entirely reworked.
• Visual rework of Myosis and Niphur. Added teleport platform in the bastion of the Edge of Imbolt.
• Changes on the heavy charged attack : it now allows to jump towards the locked foe (damage is 30 % on the first phase, 70 % for the second one).
• Reorganization and visual rework of Limbo.
• Changes on the visual effects of the Wanderer’s attacks.
• Changes of rythm of the Wanderer’s attacks.
• Visual rework of all the items icons.
• It’s now impossible to equip non consumable items.
• All menus now pause the game.
• You can now use several potions in a row that will be consumed one after the other.
• Buff of damage on the heavy attack.
• Foes and Bosses give more Limbo Essence when they die.
• Added patrols of legionaries depending on the zones.

Back to school sale & what to expect from the next update

Hello there dear Wanderers!
We hope you had a great summer and were able to take a break. We took a little one ourselves, and got back to bettering Shattered!

• The next update will contain a brand new Demiurge to fight. We don't want to say too much about it, but it might be the very first one we ever worked on, that we've been reworking and reworking and reworking for the past few years... We cannot wait to know what you'll think of it!
• The craft system will finally be here...
• ... As well as the weapon upgrade system!
• New distribution of the foes.
• And probably a new Pretorian :)

Hotfix #3

We just fixed the Limbo wells!
No more respawning problems and neverending mists.

You should probably restart your game, to make sure everything is ok now ♥

BIG UPDATE! The first Demiurge and the Summer sales! ♥

Wanderers, we have big news!
This patch notes contains the very first Demiurge of Hypnos, to go with these Summer sales!
We cannot wait for you to try it, and we hope you'll enjoy that harsh fight! There's also an entirely new area for you to roam... Please let us know what you think ♥

More details about all of this:

BUGFIXES:

  • Lots of crashes have been fixed
  • When sprinting then falling, stamina stops decreasing
  • Debug of the spawn and death of the Dark Wander
  • Debug of the Homonculuses' colliders


ADDITIONS:

  • NEW AREA, NEW BOSS!
  • New moving grass for the Ancient Lands
  • Spell system! With 3 spells for the moment: invisibility, shield and a weapon buff
  • We added a little freeze frame when the Wanderer touches a foe. Let us know what you think about it !
  • A little light under the Wanderer for better, easier jumps during platforming phases
  • New music in the Ancient Lands, new theme for Ackbar!


CHANGES:

  • With no lock on, Ether bolts are now cast toward the middle of your screen
  • You can now sprint while the camera is locked on a enemy (the locked sprint is slower than the regular one)

Hotfix #2

Hey Wanderers :)
We made a quick fix for this 11th build!
Let us know if you find anything else, but that should finish fixing everything we've heard of ♥

Bugfixes:
- Stamina now charges back normally when backstabbing right after an attack
- If you try to parry when your stamina is too low, the parry will still work
- Fixed the bug that shrinked the jump (that was really fun though)
- Once open, the puzzle door will stay open! Yay!

Optimization:
- Ancient lands have been optimized to improve framerates
- Hod's arena has been optimized to also improve framerates
- Light optimization of load times


Changes :
- Backstabs and counter attacks now take stamina. Careful!
- You cannot parry with the ether bolt anymore. Careful :D
- Added new sounds in the level up UI!
