Notable Fixes:

  • Many misc issues after updating the engine version.
  • Many misc AI behavior issues.
  • Various performance tweaks.
  • Camera zoom getting stuck with swinging.
  • Camera sensitivity and input queue settings are now saved independently of savegame.
  • Music / ambience volume jumps when fading between tracks.
  • Ranged weapons unsheathe when trying to aim.
  • Fixed tab not closing inventory when clicking on an item.
  • Framerate should have less impact on mouse input delay.


Notable Changes / Additions:

  • Blocking is now only 2 angles, left and right. Shields block all 4 angles.
  • Chambering mechanic added, it's explained in the tutorial (essentially old 4 angle parry but via swinging).
  • Made Flintlocks ragdoll enemies.
  • Timing changes for blocking and feinting.
  • Increased swing speeds.
  • Sped up reload times for crossbows and flintlocks.
  • Added options for middle / bottom angle and shoulder indicator.
  • Favoriting no longer requires the favorite button.
  • Reworked input for angle selection.
  • Parries no longer have a chance, they are now purely based on a time threshold.
  • AI can now dual block.
  • Tweaked AI movement in combat.
  • Added hybrid NPCs that can use both ranged and melee weaponry.
  • Added some testing voice lines to NPCs - Take Damage, Taunts, etc.
  • Added biome support with different music, ambience, and misc other effects.
  • Created cycle for sun / moon lighting.
  • Player no longer collides with dead bodies.
  • Volumetric clouds.
  • Added support for reading books / notes.
  • Herobrine removed.

Patch 1.9.1

Notable Fixes:
-NPCs dealing damage during the windup phase of swing.
-Feint delay added for manual feint key. Spamming the feint key won’t break swinging anymore.
-Issue of weapon hitbox enabling after feint.
-Some enchantment description issues.
-Post Process quality can no longer be lower than “2” in options. This led to lighting issues.
-Issue with character's spine movement from receiving a block to swinging.
Notable Changes:
-Tweaked duration of animation blending for default poses.
-Feinting should be much easier, increased the period of time a feint can occur in windup.
-NPC collision ignores dead bodies.
-Increased grass draw distance.
-Made NPCs attack speed a bit slower.

-Some camera speed issues when swings / blocks overlap or get cancelled.
-Some inconsistency for AI reacting to swings / feints.
