Custom Language Files and Backup Saves

The latest update (v.2.1.1) for Shisensho Solitaire enables users to create a custom language file. I'm hoping that over time, players will voluntarily translate the game into their native languages, and share them with me so I can make them official. Credit will be given, of course!

Guide: How to Make a Custom Language File

Also, the game now automatically creates a local backup save file every time you play (up to 20). While I've not had any reports of players losing their progress, it's always a good idea to keep backups. For an explanation of how saving, backups and Steam Cloud work in Shisensho Solitaire, see this guide:

Guide: How to Restore Progress from Backup

Finally, if you missed the forum post, the previous update (v.2.1.0) added a way to cycle through all the moves available on the board when using the Hint button. Prior to that update only one move was highlighted. In addition, I added a music track selector to the in-game Settings menu (cog icon) so you can switch between songs while playing.

Thanks for playing!
Nick

Bonus Campaign - 91 New Levels

Hi everyone, this update adds a 91-level Bonus Campaign that brings the total number of puzzles to 182.

To unlock the bonus levels, complete the main campaign and an arrow will appear by the Campaign Map. This arrow will open the Bonus Campaign. The new campaign is much like the first - it starts with small, easy boards and gets progressively more difficult. You can enable Hint, Undo, Shuffle and Spotlight from the Bonus Campaign Map's "Options" button.

Also, in the Audio Menu, you can now change the volume of each individual sound effect.

If you find any bugs, please let me know in the Steam forums or via Twitter, and I'll race to fix them ASAP.

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy the update. :)

Major Update - Shisensho Solitaire 2.0

Hi everyone, for the last few months I've been busy working on a major overhaul of Shisensho. Here's what's new:

* Playable tutorial
* 91-level campaign mode (with Casual option)
* 14 new achievements (44 total)
* 10 awards (for veteran players)
* 5 new tile sets (8 total)
* 2 new Mini Game board sizes (6x4, 8x5)
* 14 all-new backgrounds
* 2 new leaderboards: Total Wins and Tiles Cleared
* Mid-game saving
* Joker tiles (don't need matching)
* Best 100 times saved per board (up from 10)
* View ALL Steam Leaderboard entries (up from 10)
* Improved Shuffle (tiles move, not just their faces)
* Improved Undo (works through Shuffle and mid-game save)
* All-new menus
* Basic camera zoom (use mouse wheel)
* Replay board option when out of moves or time
* Mouse pointer size option
* This is a free update :)

About upgrading:

Upgrading is automatic and your progress from Shisensho 1 will be continued. However, your in-game settings (background color, screen resolution, audio settings, etc.) are not carried over to version 2. Sorry about that. Please explore the new Options menu.

Downgrading back to version 1.3:

The files with your old settings and progress are not changed so you can revert to version 1.3 at any time by right clicking Shisensho Solitaire in your Steam library -> Properties -> Betas -> shisensho_v1.3 (Legacy version).

About Steam Cloud:

Shisensho saves your game progress to Steam Cloud. However, settings and any mid-game saves are only saved locally.

Bug reporting:

If you find any bugs, please let me know in the Steam forums or via Twitter, and I'll race to fix them ASAP.

Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy the update. :)
