👨👨👦👦Co-Op PvE
For this final update on our Early Access development road-map, we’re introducing a Major Update: Co-Op PvE mode! Now, you can team up with your friends to battle AI opponents, earn XP, unlock gear, progress through the story, and upgrade your character’s abilities. This update incorporates many suggestions from our community over the past few months.
🛒DLCs
Additionally, we’re excited to introduce two DLCs for the game.
Practice with a Bot: In this mode, you can play solo against a bot. You won’t earn any XP, and the outcome of the match won’t affect your rank.
Multiplayer: Compete against other players in this mode. If there aren’t enough players, AI will fill in the gaps on both teams. You earn XP, and your wins and losses will impact your rank. You can also review your last match in the recent matches section.
Co-Op PvE: Play solo or team up with friends to battle against bots. You can earn XP, and both wins and losses will impact your rank. Your last match can be viewed in the recent matches section.
Training: This tutorial mode teaches you how to play the game, making it perfect for new players.

I want to thank you all for supporting us during early access. We’re excited to announce that we will be making the game free to play and launching the full version at October 11th.
We’re sharing this announcement to give you all advanced notice of this change. If you’ve purchased the game on Steam within the last 2 weeks, you can request a refund through Steam Support.
We understand you might have questions about this transition, so we’ve put together a comprehensive FAQ to address any concerns you may have!
Shoot On Sight - Free to Play - Full Launch / FAQ
Why are you making the game free to play?
We decided to make the game free to play because it hasn’t reached as many players as we hoped, resulting in a low player base. We believe we’ve created a cool game, and making it free could benefit everyone who wants to play. Since our game is online, having more players is crucial for a better experience. We want to reach a wider audience, which will also put us in a better position to support Shoot On Sight going forward.
What changes can I expect to see once Shoot On Sight is free-to-play?
You can expect a few exciting changes! We’re adding a PvE mode, allowing players to enjoy co-op gameplay. Additionally, four main characters will be locked for free-to-play users, who will need to purchase DLC to access these characters.
What features/content will be available for free, and what will I need to buy?
You’ll be able to play the Shoot On Sight base game for free, which includes online multiplayer, single-player against AI, and playing with friends. However, four main characters will be locked for free-to-play users. To access these characters, you will need to purchase the corresponding DLCs.
What about people who bought the game? Will they have any in-game advantages?
Players who bought the game will have access to all characters without needing to purchase DLCs. Additionally, they will receive a unique profile icon badge as a token of appreciation for their support.
I am a player who paid for the game before it goes free. Do I get my money back/do I get anything for paying for it?
To be honest, no, you won’t get a refund. However, as mentioned, you will receive the DLCs for free and a unique profile icon badge to show our appreciation for your support. We’re implementing this plan to ensure a great experience for all users, and we appreciate your understanding as we strive to make a better experience for everyone, including you.
Will there be ads or other interruptions in the free-to-play version?
Nope! We won’t make you wait, sit through ads, or deal with any other annoying interruptions when you play Shoot On Sight.
Will there be any restrictions or limitations for free players compared to paid players?
There will not be! If you’ve just picked up Shoot On Sight for free and your friend has purchased it, you’ll both have access to exactly the same game. The only difference will be your access to characters and a different profile icon badge.
Will there be any changes to multiplayer or matchmaking?
We’re anticipating that the move to free-to-play will increase the number of active players in online multiplayer, so we’re going to be keeping an eye on our online servers to ensure they can handle the increased load. Other than that, we’re not making any changes to how multiplayer and online games function in Shoot On Sight
I have an unredeemed Steam key for Shoot On Sight, what would happen when I redeem it?
Not much! Steam records your key redemptions, and using a key will identify you as an owner of Shoot On Sight - Retail Key. This grants you access to Shoot On Sight, but everyone else will also have access once the game goes free. So, the outcome remains the same.
Won’t this mean that there will be more cheaters in the game?
We’re going to be keeping a close eye on how people play Shoot On Sight online once we transition to free-to-play. The good news is that we already have two anti-cheat systems in place to help catch cheaters. We’re doing our best to ensure the game remains free of fraud and provides a fair experience for all players.
