Juicy News | Know Thy Enemy
Happy Thursday Fruity Fans
Last week we prepared you with knowledge on how to shoot the fruit so it’s about time we show you what abnormally large fruit you’ll be faced with.
With over 14 genetically mutated varieties of fruit have, they've all developed differently in their self-destructive sentient ways. As with most jobs these days, all employees need the ability to adapt to changing working environments - whether that's a wild army of raspberries or the manic buzz of mangoes - learn how to balance your workload and better turn your foes to pulp.
Here's the fruit we managed to capture on CCTV so far:
The Juicy Watermelon
Will slowly charge at you and explode upon impact.
The enormity and firmness of this melon means it’ll take a fair beating. Be prepared to lose a light if it reaches you but you get juicy kudos for defeating it.
Recommended Weapons: Shotguns, Revolvers and Explosives.
The Wild Raspberry
Will launch their stalks like a rocket once it gets within range.
The natural fragility of their flesh makes them easy targets…if you can hit them. They’re berry fast and their projectiles can do a fair amount of damage unless you manage to take them out mid-air.
Recommended Weapons: Pistols and SMGs.
The Destructive Pomegranate
Shoots a seemingly endless stream of molasses from a short distance.
Don’t underestimate them. Being so packed with goodies they have ludicrously high resistance to anything you throw at them but their juice is valuable if you manage it.
Recommended Weapons: Shotguns, Revolvers, Assault Rifles and Explosives.
The Classic Orange
Jumps (doesn’t roll as you might assume) towards you and headbutts your workstation until you manage to take it out. An average foe but nobody wants to get tangoed.
Recommended Weapons: Revolvers and SMGs.
The Flying Cherry
Do what you wish you could do when dealing with a short fuse and lob your angry enemy at other oncoming foes.
Easy to pop as they twirl through the air, but if they reach your workstation make sure to throw them away like a tiny red grenade.
Recommended Weapons: Pistols and SMGs.
The Stealthy Lemon
You know how the saying goes; when life gives you lemons, blow them away!
You’ll encounter this bitter citrus early in your career, it may be high in acidity but there is little bite in this mutation.
Recommended Weapons: Pistols.
The Speedy Lime
Small, agile and sneaky, they’ll try to flank you and attack from out of sight. Tend to roll in groups so make sure to keep a sharp eye out and get them s-lime balls.
Recommended weapons: Pistols, SMGs and grenades.
The Spontaneous Apple
An apple a day keeps the doctor well paid. More robust than their berry counterparts, but shouldn’t pose a big threat.
Recommended weapons: Revolvers and SMGs.
The Pining Pineapple
Heavily armoured, these prickly ananas will relentlessly jump towards you and self-destruct with its leafy fuse.
A highly destructive foe with thick skin and acidic pulp, it may be slow (and look it) but premature explosions are recommended.
Using their fibrous skin, these overgrown berries will twirl gracefully through the air before landing and pulverising your workstation with its head.
Surprisingly difficult to bruise and has gained the baffling ability to glide through the air. It provides an ap-peeling score but deals a bananas amount of damage. (An excellent pun and definitely not a reach)
Recommended Weapons: Shotguns and Assault Rifles.
The Manic Mango
Imagine an angry helicopter intent on faceplanting onto your workstation and there is your mango.
Distracting for employees worldwide, you’ll hear them buzzing around long before you see them.
Recommended Weapons: Revolvers, SMGs and Assault Rifles
We hope this series of inductions into the juicy world of Shooty Fruity has prepared you for the chaos that will ensue once you start the job. If you have any questions before you start do get in touch. I can't promise we won't judge you if it's something we've already explained though. Seriously, just read the blogs.
Regards,
Esther.

Juicy News | The Tools of the Trade
Happy Friday Fruity Fans
Now you know what you’ll be expected to do on the job, we’ll give you a breakdown of the absurd weapons and explosives you’ll need to master to get the job done in our third look at the juicy world of Shooty Fruity.
Whether you like to multitask with a gun in one hand and produce in the other or dual wield like a badass while your workload piles up, we have a variety of ballistics to sate your thirst for juice. Our R&D team have custom made 18 varieties for our employees and here’s a peek at what we have unveiled so far.
A real pulp machine, crack open the toughest exteriors to reveal the juice within. Beware of the reload time.
Advantages:
Can efficiently dispatch slower and unreasonably large fruit.
Disadvantages:
Difficult to hit speedy fruit and smaller targets. Surprisingly little reach for a gun so large.
Later Models:
Swap speed for a smaller clip to increase the amount of damage you can do in short bursts. The Feckler 500 is a flak cannon, the Dunderbuster a semi-automatic shotgun!
Quick Stats:
- Magazine Size: 8
- Armour Piercing: Low
- Rate of Fire: Low
- Recoil: Medium
Spend your well-earned juice to unlock weapons and learn what works best for each situation. You can then customise your loadout and have a more successful shift!
Power-Ups
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On occasion, you’ll receive a power-up during your shift. When the time comes to use it…you’ll know. Or you won’t, and it’ll be rendered useless. Either way, the suits at the top occasionally try to make your shift a little easier.
Here’s a peek at what you might get:
Packed with a small explosive charge that triggers on impact and damages nearby objects and enemies.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Each bullet multiplies for additional fruit murder.
Instructions:
Place the Power-Up in the slot in front of you to activate it. All power-ups are active for 10 seconds.

Juicy News | A Juicy Career
In the second in-depth dive into the outrageous world of Shooty Fruity, we explain what we require from our melon maiming employees and what they can expect from their ‘career’.
Job Overview
The world is a ludicrous place with genetically mutated fruit rampaging across supermarkets across the globe. As a supermarket employee, you’re going where customers fear to tread, fulfilling their needs and demands whilst fending off manically murderous fruit that are determined to stop you. Are you ready to step up to this challenging and varied role?

Career Progression
Super Mega Mart offers many opportunities for career progression and we encourage all workers to take on more responsibility. In return, we provide you with invaluable experience and a sense of pride.
As an adaptive and dynamic multi-national company, we will constantly change your targets for each shift you work and reward high fliers with Stars. If you can meet your new targets and collect more stars, we can offer you even more work!

Juicy News | Guided Tour of the Staff Room
We announced Shooty Fruity’s hub area – the staff room – last week. This is where budding gun toting shopping clerks can go between the shooting/job simulation action to chill out, unlock weapons, customise and test their load outs, and check on the progress of their glittering career.
In the first of a series of posts about the game’s key features ahead of launch on the 19th December, we thought we’d go into a bit of detail on what you can expect to do between all the shooting, scanning and serving.
Everything Begins at the Locker
The locker is where you go to choose your shift. Select the time card for today's preferred task and off you go. Don’t forget to check your objectives for the shift on the back of the card to gain those elusive stars.
Once you’ve selected your mission you can customise your loadout here too. Not sure what to pick? Strategic selection to match the fruit your fighting is a good start (we’ll go into this in a couple of weeks) but if you’re still not sure you can always give them a trial run first…
Practice Makes Perfect at the Shooting Gallery
Pull the big lever at the locker to reveal the staff room’s shooting range. Perfect for testing out the latest additions to your arsenal and there’s even scoring, for people who feel only competing in levels isn’t enough.
Spend Your Hard Earned Juice at the Vendomatic
New weapons are purchased at the Vendomatic within the staff room. Head on over and if you’ve got the juice – the in-game currency gained from shooting fruit – just type in the number and voila your new weapon will be available in the locker!
Check out the High Scores on the Arcade Machine
Two arcade machines give you access to Shooty Fruity’s leaderboards and options. Chuck a quarter into the machine and use the joystick to check out how you’re performing in your job against your ‘colleagues’, or customise your options.
Showcase Your Achievements
Leaderboards simply not enough for you to show off your glittering supermarket career? Various trophy cabinets display all your key achievements and you can check more detailed stats on the staff room notice board.
What Else?
Want to take a moment to yourself? Well, feel free to hang around, have a cup of coffee or play frisbee with a plate. You so deserve it!
